What is the Miami Open?

The Miami Open is a professional tennis tournament held annually in March in Miami, Florida that draws some of the top tennis talent on the men's and women's tours. Also known as the Miami Masters, it is an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event on the men's tour and a Premier Mandatory event on the women's tour. The tennis event is held at Hard Rock Stadium where the NFL's Miami Dolphins play among other events. It was previously held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne just off the coast of Miami.

The event moved to Hard Rock Stadium after over $500 million was spent in renovations, including a new tennis campus featuring 29 permanent tournament and practice courts as well as additional food and entertainment facilities. The 14,000-seat center court within Hard Rock Stadium is designed for intimacy, luxury and a comfortable fan experience. A state-of-the-art in-stadium shade canopy and the largest video board in tennis offers a luxury seating experience.

  • Had fun! Well run operation.

by Carl on 3/29/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

Had a great time everything was as we expected. Tip for others, if you use a ride service, when leaving go to the bridge at lot 18 and just take the first driver who offers $60. Not worth the hassle of waiting etc.

  • Great experience....first class.

    by jwc_1979 on 3/29/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

Overall very pleased with experience. Excellent facilities, courts and grandstands. Very pleased with pro shop and souvenir store. Two areas that could improve, not very many restroom facilities outside the stadium. The one trailer that had setup was closed before the outdoor matches were over leaving no options near the grandstand court. Although there were a variety of food options, would like to see more vegan selections. The one vegan ice cream vendor was only available to folks with premium club stadium tickets. Really wanted some ice cream but couldn't get access to the area. Guess I need to upgrade for that next year.

  • Fantastic and fun!

by PDX Mom on 3/29/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

We had a wonderful time easy to get an Uber there and back. The grounds were full of people very lively many food options to choose from perfect cool evening love the big screen TVs, and we had fabulous seats will definitely be coming again!

  • Amazing tournment

by Pablo on 3/29/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

The only thing I would like to improve is to make it easier to understand the locations I access with my purchase so I can choose the best location according to my expectations

  • Nice facility but bad rules on purses

by HR on 3/29/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

My wife had to check her purse into a locker and pay $15 even though security checked her purse. They said purse was too big and not in a clear bag. Many people upset about that. Ridiculous to do this. Also food prices very high. Tennis facility is good but stadium seating with all the bleacher seats not ideal

  • Distance

by Meeals on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

There was no valet nor was there a tram to transport people to and fro their vehicles. The distance is remarkable coupled the heat not a good recipe.

  • Improving Every Year!

by Judy on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

Have been attending since inaugural year 2019. Happy to see my suggestions of more seating around campus with shade, umbrellas and the ability to watch matches from around the grounds on big screens when your not at courts. Last year’s seating around the grounds was more comfortable though. I have 2 suggestions for improvements in the future. The food selections in the 300 level were limited and uninspiring. The options around the grounds seemed interesting but it was way too far to go from way up in the 300’s. My other suggestion is that there should be another entrance into the stadium besides the one near the entrance to the facility. Once your in and watching matches on court 1, 5, 7, Grandstand, etc, it’s a far way to go to get in to the stadium since there’s only that one entrance. Thanks! See you next year😁🎾

  • Mixed bag

by Mark P. on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

Great views on smaller courts, stadium leaves a lot to be desired. Stadium seats are glorified bleachers, uncomfortable after a short while, long way away from bathrooms and food stations. Food and drink options very expensive and not particularly healthy or tasteful. Overall, a great opportunity for the hardcore fan to watch some live tennis but the value is simply not there.

  • Various

by Iliana on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

Updates for court practice should be done constantly. More food variety and not so expensive

  • Awesome Tennis; Great Setting!

by Gator Beast on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

Some of the world’s best tennis players battling in the warm Florida sun. What’s not to love about that? The facilities are first class. Really enjoyed both the tennis and the setting. If you enjoy world class tennis, do yourself a favor and go!

  • Amazing Event

by Indy Tennis Fan on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

I have attended the Miami Open the last two years and will most likely return again in 2025. It is a very well organized, fun event. Kudos to James Blake and his team for making this one of the premier tennis tournaments in the USA.

  • Weather and Tennis Was Terrific

    by Doug256 on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

Great event as always. Need to figure out how to provide the lineup for the day at the event. Food concessions in the Stadium are just terrible. Over priced and service is just inept. Outside the Stadium food and service is above average. Power going out on Tuesday afternoon in the Stadium was not good and made for a bad situation everywhere. Should not happen at an event like this. Tennis was very good. Love attending but organizers need to improve in the items listed above.

  • Expensive, but...

by DiCaprio on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

Stadium tickets, food and drink are very expensive. But if you go midway through the 2-week tournament, by a cheap stadium ticket (need binoculars to see the players on court) you get great up-close access to top players playing or practicing on the many outer courts. It's a shame when you watch from home and see so many empty seats, even in the semi-finals. Also, ride with someone or take an uber or bus, because traffic during the snowbird/spring break season is horrendous in Miami.

  • Fantastic Event!

by Lisa Mur on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

This is our 2nd time at the Miami Open. Absolutely love it! From the matchups.. smaller court venues, to the good food… all first class! Highly recommend… even if just a casual tennis fan. Nice job Miami! We will be back!

  • All-in-one

by US Open Tennis fan on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

Great week in Miami. Hard Rock stadium is a very nice venue with an awesome atmosphere and hospitality. Fantastic food section and great variety. You can see your favorite tennis players up close for a reasonable price for high-class tennis matches.

  • Great Tennis

by Tennis Girl on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

Outer courts could be more comfortable seating. Scheduling was not very good. Most popular matches on the small outer courts. Not so popular matches on the Stadium court.

  • Amazing tournament

by Dee on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

Loved that you could move around pick your games. Roomy open spaces very comfortable. Great tennis. Loved it

  • Great sport competition, chaotic parking

by JR on 3/28/24Rating: 3 out of 5

Parking is absolute madness: no proper signs, drivers cutting lanes, long lines, hours wasted to get in-out and overpriced. Food and drinks are also overpriced (beer +$14). Once inside great tennis competition and environment. Section 300 in Stadium court only for people with excellent sight. Buy tickets way in advance and get there early and leave early or leave late, otherwise not worth it.

  • Rain experience

by Larissa on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

I bought the first weekend mini plan, was supossed to have 3 days of tennis, and because of the rain I just enjoied 1 day and a half. A friend that bought only friday, received a ticket to come Back on sunday because of the rain and I didn’t received anything. I don’t think this is fair, once I have spent so much more than her and at the end, we had the same experience. I just lost 1 day and a half and that is it.

  • Very Nice!!! Organized!!

by Vecchi on 3/28/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

Should improve the APP. It doesnt work fast. The order the matches priorize the night session.. It is not worth!!!
