What is the Miami Open?

The Miami Open is a professional tennis tournament held annually in March in Miami, Florida that draws some of the top tennis talent on the men's and women's tours. Also known as the Miami Masters, it is an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event on the men's tour and a Premier Mandatory event on the women's tour. The tennis event is held at Hard Rock Stadium where the NFL's Miami Dolphins play among other events. It was previously held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne just off the coast of Miami.

The event moved to Hard Rock Stadium after over $500 million was spent in renovations, including a new tennis campus featuring 29 permanent tournament and practice courts as well as additional food and entertainment facilities. The 14,000-seat center court within Hard Rock Stadium is designed for intimacy, luxury and a comfortable fan experience. A state-of-the-art in-stadium shade canopy and the largest video board in tennis offers a luxury seating experience.

  • Great Tennis in Florida

This is a great tennis tournament. All the stars in both men and women tennis play. The venue is small so you get good view with seats no matter where you are. They have practice schedule so you can get autographs from your favorites.

  • Still waiting for the bus

by OrionStar20190 on 3/28/17Tennis Center at Crandon Park - Key BiscayneRating: 2 out of 5

Tennis was great but the lines for parking (25 minutes AFTER paying), lines for buses were out of control. We waited 55 minutes while only two buses transported people to parking. Logistics were not done well at all. The tennis was amazing.

The amazing performances by the tennis professionals was a treat and so inspiring for our tennis league games to improve shots and strategies, so we loved it again. Also I must comment on the healthier food choices with the Create the Salad and Sushi, feeling good!!

This was my first Miami open.. Over all it was very good. We could watch matches up close in other stands. The food selection was limited but good enough.

  • Maimi OPen week 1

by Patty1001 on 3/27/17Tennis Center at Crandon Park - Key BiscayneRating: 3 out of 5

We attended the Miami open Thursday- Friday March 23-24. The APP did not show all the courts and often had the incorrect court number. The tennis was great. You could get a close seat to almost any singles event. The biggest complaint was the doubles. This is by far the most popular event but always played in courts with fewest seats. There were always long lines, and almost impossible to get in unless you were already there from the previous match. If the doubles were as easy to be seated as the singles, this would get a “5 start” rating.

  • Tennis was fab!

by realmaxine on 3/27/17Tennis Center at Crandon Park - Key BiscayneRating: 4 out of 5

I would of given 5 stars if they would have doubles on the bigger courts. We waited in line for 30 minutes then gave up realizing no one was going to leave. The doubles need to be on court 1 or courts with 2 bleachers. Most people who play tennis play doubles and want to see them.

The Miami Open venue is just beautiful. Staff and volunteers are all very nice. Food and beverage choices were abundant and the matches were most exciting. We had a fabulous time, and would Love to come back.

I am really sad about miami open tickets, I bought tickets for night session, and what they did is that they made both Big Players Nada and Nishikori play in morning session, This is very cruel with fans, Evening session should have at least one top 4 players of tournament, I got pissed off by this and I am never going to buy tickets for miami open.
