What is the Miami Open?

The Miami Open is a professional tennis tournament held annually in March in Miami, Florida that draws some of the top tennis talent on the men's and women's tours. Also known as the Miami Masters, it is an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event on the men's tour and a Premier Mandatory event on the women's tour. The tennis event is held at Hard Rock Stadium where the NFL's Miami Dolphins play among other events. It was previously held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne just off the coast of Miami.

The event moved to Hard Rock Stadium after over $500 million was spent in renovations, including a new tennis campus featuring 29 permanent tournament and practice courts as well as additional food and entertainment facilities. The 14,000-seat center court within Hard Rock Stadium is designed for intimacy, luxury and a comfortable fan experience. A state-of-the-art in-stadium shade canopy and the largest video board in tennis offers a luxury seating experience.

Great organization. My fave was the entire “party” block with Dobel Tequila. Very upscale presentation. Good prices for beverages and food. I would def come again. Even though my seat was relatively far…. Form all angles very clear to watch the game. Loved it

the all process its was great! Unless to access the ticketmaster platform from my region. I needed to be on the ground in US to configure all the features.

  • It's not about the tennis

I LOVE the Miami Open and I love tennis even more. This is my third year attending while at Miami Gardens and I always have a great time. BUT...this year I experienced some really disappointing moments that had nothing to do with tennis. The first day, my friends and I had ground passes. Great!! We found our way to the Oyster restaurant overlooking Butch Buchholz Court where we watched three matches. Our server was friendly, attentive and busy. We waited about 30 minutes for our check, but we didn't blame him and wanted to show our appreciation with a great tip. He did not bother to let us know that a 22% gratuity was already included. Had I not noticed, we would have tipped 45%!! Not the right move. The second day, we had tickets for Quarterfinals. We stopped in the plaza for wine and water from one of the mobile bars. As the staff was ringing up our purchase, I noticed he flew past the tip screen and handed it to me to pay with my card. I asked, "what about tip". His partner explained the tip function was not working. I felt bad and handed him a $5 bill after paying. When we ordered another round from a different mobile bar, I realized the first guy lied to us. He quickly tipped himself 20%. The third day, we had tickets for the Women's Finals. During the rain delay we went out onto the plaza. Once again, we met with staff trying to hustle us. This is not a good look for the Miami Open. Everything is already so very expensive. I bought two cocktails and paid $60. Come on!!!

  • Excessive Delays

by Lau on 4/2/25Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

It was really annoying the excessive delays with the matches. I wanted to see Nole, but because of the delays the posponed the match for the next day, so they changed your seats for a worse ones and I couldn't go the next day. Maybe you can move some matches to another court. The selection of restaurants for food and drinks has improved as well as the experience outside the courts.

  • Caotic. Parking, seating, food quality. All very bad

by Guille on 4/2/25Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 2 out of 5

Parking is expensive and exit is terrible. It took me one hour to leave the parking lot. Food was very bad and very expensive, bring your own snacks. My seats were very expensive and half my view was blocked with the heads of the people in front on me and the referee chair.

  • Parking nightmare

by Me on 4/1/25Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 1 out of 5

Who designs a large parking lot with only one exit? It took an hour and 15 minutes to move 200 feet to get out of there. I won’t be going back there for events.

Wonderful day of tennis on the first day of quarter finals - great venue, easy to navigate with plenty of drink and food offerings, and spectacular tennis - excellent value for money!

Really fun event. The weather did not cooperate but allowed us to grab a bite to eat without missing any great tennis. Both matches were competitive and tons of fun. Had a really good time!
