What is the Miami Open?

The Miami Open is a professional tennis tournament held annually in March in Miami, Florida that draws some of the top tennis talent on the men's and women's tours. Also known as the Miami Masters, it is an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event on the men's tour and a Premier Mandatory event on the women's tour. The tennis event is held at Hard Rock Stadium where the NFL's Miami Dolphins play among other events. It was previously held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne just off the coast of Miami.

The event moved to Hard Rock Stadium after over $500 million was spent in renovations, including a new tennis campus featuring 29 permanent tournament and practice courts as well as additional food and entertainment facilities. The 14,000-seat center court within Hard Rock Stadium is designed for intimacy, luxury and a comfortable fan experience. A state-of-the-art in-stadium shade canopy and the largest video board in tennis offers a luxury seating experience.

  • Better at crandon park

by Maritime Mark on 4/1/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

The Miami open was ok at Hard Rock but it lacks the feel of a tennis tournament. Between the race track being up and the football stadium you do not get the feel that you are at a tennis tournament. Crandon Park was more like being at tennis.

  • Awesome

by Kainoy on 3/31/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

Great venue for tennis. Very well organized. Much improved from the former Miami Open @ Key Biscayne. Looking forward to Miami Open 2025!

  • Miami Open

by Tisha Russ on 3/30/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

I visited for the first time in my life in 2022 and realized how much I liked tennis. This year’s vibe however was so much better. There were so many more areas to sit and relax in cabana like settings in the beautiful weather. I can not wait to go back next year.

  • Excellent experience

by Paul from MA on 3/30/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

My second year in a row at the tournament, traveling with tennis/golf buddies for four days. We were there for two evening sessions, including some excellent late afternoon matches, and one day session. Seeing (almost) all top men and women is great. Getting to see many very top players in a not-too-large court (grandstand) is my favorite part. The stadium is an ok venue, I still have nostalgia for the Key Biscayne stadium (three times, many years ago). But everything else about the Hard Rock venue is very nice now, some good food choices on the grounds (not as good in the stadium). Throw in a couple of days for golf, getting out of the cold, and it's a great overall experience.

  • Great place for high quality tennis

by mikeabw on 3/30/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

It's a great venue. Parking is easy in and easy out. Tennis quality is top notch. Food is expensive. Water is $6 a bottle!

  • Love tennis so loved the experience

by Mep on 3/30/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

Everything was great but not the food. It was not tasty at all and very but very expensive. There should be the option of having tap water or water fillers all around the place and not only at the stadium bathrooms, people were fainting because they didn’t hidrate enough since a bottle of water costs $10…

  • Great Tennis Difficult Venue

by Friedmantbo on 3/30/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

The tennis was great. The facility and operations were disappointing. To start with, the walk to parking is very long. This was physically challenging and there was no option. The signage in the parking lot makes it very difficult to get back to your car. I knew which section I was in but it was difficult to find that section. Be prepared for a long wait to exit. Getting out of the parking lot was an ordeal for me and all the other drivers in uncoordinated lines. In addition, exiting the stadium or going to the bathroom was a challenge for us because our exit was blocked by staff to allow players to cross the hallway (for an ordinately long time). It is unreasonable to ask a crowd to stand for 15 or 20 minutes to wait for the players to cross the hall to get to a bathroom or get out of the stadium without climbing two flights of stairs. I feel that the Hard Rock is just a terrible venue. It is tough to get around and walking distances are ridiculous.

  • Need better communication

by Terry on 3/30/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

Tickets said 11am, matches didn’t start til 1pm. Bought parking passes, we were told there was no handicap parking in the lot we were in until after we were in line with other cars for over 30minutes. We did go to the match and were very happy with our seats and the match we saw, however bathrooms were quite a ways from our seats. There needs to be better communication regarding start time, parking, and access to restrooms. Not everyone who enjoys tennis is under 40!

  • Great Time!

by Mercer on 3/30/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

This was our first visit to this event. I had read some negative reviews, but was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. The grounds were festive and the food was good. Nice shops. Great seats. We’ve been to Indian Wells and Miami is very close to being on par. Parking is a bit of a hike but it’s the only negative. Getting in was easy. Getting out was only slightly more difficult.

  • Excellent experience!

by Judy on 3/30/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

Thank you all. Great tennis. Very helpful staff and personnel. Fun dining.

  • Great event overall

by Anton on 3/30/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

Everything was great except of this system with selling assigned seats to Gramdsrand. Electricity went off on the stadium and guess what? Everyone went to see Sinner but ~700 people weren’t even able to get in. Don’t do this next year, not good

  • Too expensive

by Nelson on 3/29/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

The Stadium was so empty untill the last rounds that i have to think something was wrong. Maybe the prices ARE too expensive.

  • Mega fan

by Paseise on 3/29/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

I got into the venue at noon n stayed until 9 pm. It was a great experience, the Florida weather cooperated n I had the best time. I saw some great tennis from the top players in the world, met people from all over the world n had the best time. I’ll be back next year.

by Lee on 3/29/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent well organized event with great preparation. We thoroughly enjoyed the matches, players, atmosphere, displays, etc. Highly recommend it. Very memorable

  • Bad organization and compensation

by Silvana on 3/29/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 1 out of 5

I had good tickets for Friday morning, it was cancelled due to the rain and as a compensation I got tickets for Sunday, but on a much worse location than what I originally purchased. Also, the entrance was poorly organized, one day they allowed me to enter the purse and the next one they didn’t. Very arbitrary management at the entrance.

  • Much things to improve in the event

by Junqueira on 3/29/24Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 2 out of 5

Food options were terrible. My seats it supoosed to be excelente but for my surpresas were behynd iron bars. I seems you are in a jail. Impossible to assist the games. Had to jump seats after seats as ii beca o es avaible in the same area otherwise it would not be possible follow the matches. I had the pictures ei h the map view when I bought it and the reality. Regards
