About

What is the Miami Open?

The Miami Open is a professional tennis tournament held annually in March in Miami, Florida that draws some of the top tennis talent on the men's and women's tours. Also known as the Miami Masters, it is an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event on the men's tour and a Premier Mandatory event on the women's tour. The tennis event is held at Hard Rock Stadium where the NFL's Miami Dolphins play among other events. It was previously held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne just off the coast of Miami.

The event moved to Hard Rock Stadium after over $500 million was spent in renovations, including a new tennis campus featuring 29 permanent tournament and practice courts as well as additional food and entertainment facilities. The 14,000-seat center court within Hard Rock Stadium is designed for intimacy, luxury and a comfortable fan experience. A state-of-the-art in-stadium shade canopy and the largest video board in tennis offers a luxury seating experience.

    Lots to See

by BoomerFans on 3/31/18Tennis Center at Crandon Park - Key Biscayne

Many options to see various matches being played. Suggest going during Monday - Friday\ during day, as not as crowded. Plenty of good food choices, without price gauging.

Fun, but there wasn’t any good food available for the quarterfinal match in the evening.

    Great location, bad logistics

by amandeep86 on 3/31/18Tennis Center at Crandon Park - Key Biscayne

The Miami Open was brilliant, the stadium was great; we had Club 400 seats and the venue was still pretty good! The atmosphere was fantastic too, as well as the grounds of the venue. However, the organisers did a poor job with the transport logistics - it the route and pick-up/drop-off points were badly managed.

Miami Open sinks to new low

No WiFi, no tournament app. They cut all expenses this year and it sucks

    Rude fans

by Lucita01 on 3/28/18Tennis Center at Crandon Park - Key Biscayne

I think the organizers gave up on the tournament this year, since it was the last year it will be on Key Biscayne. The players were obviously frustrated with the ball kids, who looked like they hadn’t been trained properly. On more than one occasion, I sat near fans who talked throughout play. The facility itself was very nice and there were plenty of good food options, but that will probably change with the venue moving to Miami next year. I also predict that move to Miami will make the event even more accessible to fans who think they can behave like they’re at a soccer match.

    Juan and John!

by Twresa on 3/28/18Tennis Center at Crandon Park - Key Biscayne

It is sad they are moving from this venue. The outer courts have seating so close.

Miami Open Swan Song at Crandon Park

by Drewsie on 3/28/18Tennis Center at Crandon Park - Key Biscayne

It was a beautiful day on Key Biscayne, as it so often has been for the 25 years we have been attending the Open there. We feel it is a large mistake to move to Hard Rock Stadium and loose the atmosphere of a true Miami event by being on the Key. Not everything has to grow to advance. Some things are best left as is. We fear this "improvement" will, in fact, destroy the home-town feel of our Open and create nightmares for not only tennis fans, but for football fans and all other users of the stadium as it's feeble parking is further pressured by the removal of hundreds of spots. Good luck on this!

Tennis Center at Crandon Park Sun 3/28/18

by DanAll on 3/28/18Tennis Center at Crandon Park - Key Biscayne

Weather and tennis was great. Getting to and from general parking is a bit of a hassle. The earlier you get there the farther away you park?

    Parking nightmare

by Caraquenisimo on 3/28/18Tennis Center at Crandon Park - Key Biscayne

45–50 minutes to park your car, over half an hour to drive away from venue. Overall parking experience a complete nightmare!

    Love the Miami Open

by LouSpurs26 on 3/27/18Tennis Center at Crandon Park - Key Biscayne

I always love coming to watch the Miami Open. The fact you can go from match to match is just brilliant. You get to see so many different players (some I've never even heard of before),in a beautiful yet casual location. I think I will miss Crandon Park, but it wont stop me from attending next year at the new location. Just wish Nadal had been playing :)

    Good tennis, poor fans

by SrqTravelQueen on 3/27/18Tennis Center at Crandon Park - Key Biscayne

Love to watch in the Grandstand but continual cell rings disrupt. Plus why do fans think leaving their empty bottles and trash in the stands when they leave acceptable?

We got to see Federer up close from front row. It was great.

by Jmccary on 3/27/18Tennis Center at Crandon Park - Key Biscayne

going to and from the Open is nightmarish. Terrible location considering the traffic. Sure was a nice facility. I especially enjoyed the different food options - nice variety.

Great atmosphere and good viewing. Traffic to get in and out is awful. Not events fault.
