What is the Miami Open?

The Miami Open is a professional tennis tournament held annually in March in Miami, Florida that draws some of the top tennis talent on the men's and women's tours. Also known as the Miami Masters, it is an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event on the men's tour and a Premier Mandatory event on the women's tour. The tennis event is held at Hard Rock Stadium where the NFL's Miami Dolphins play among other events. It was previously held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne just off the coast of Miami.

The event moved to Hard Rock Stadium after over $500 million was spent in renovations, including a new tennis campus featuring 29 permanent tournament and practice courts as well as additional food and entertainment facilities. The 14,000-seat center court within Hard Rock Stadium is designed for intimacy, luxury and a comfortable fan experience. A state-of-the-art in-stadium shade canopy and the largest video board in tennis offers a luxury seating experience.

  • Very disappointed

by Francisco on 3/29/25Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 1 out of 5

In session 18, we were only able to see one match due to the poor organization, which included five matches in the stadium. An incomprehensible decision.

  • Experiência incrível

by Fabiano Hey on 3/29/25Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

Wonderful matches, incredible level of tennis, all the entertainment far exceeded expectations. The only point worth mentioning was that one of João Fonseca's matches was moved to another court and the fans were not notified. In short, an event that I really want to return to in future editions. Thank you Itau and Miami Open.

  • Disappointed with scheduling

    by TennisFan4768 on 3/29/25Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 1 out of 5

We bought night session tickets and were supposed to watch Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinal but due to poor scheduling decisions by the tournament organizers (trying to squeeze 5 matches onto Stadium court with a 1pm start when all previous days matches started at noon) the match had to be postponed when the night session didn’t start until 9:15pm for the women’s quarterfinal (over 2 hour delay). Paid over $100 per ticket to see only one match as we weren’t allowed to enter stadium court until 9:15pm instead of 7pm. Day session ticket holders saw 3 matches which dragged 2 hours into the night session.

  • obstructive view ticket

by Lau on 3/29/25Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

I had an obstructive view ticket to the Miami Open. Had a bad experience at the semifinal game.

  • Top experience

    by Albert87 on 3/29/25Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

Congrats for the torunement and its organization. Everything well: parking location, the facilities, the access to the hard rock stadium and central court. Lot of bathrooms, free water and suncream 👌

  • Great Experience at the Hard Rock/Miami Open

by Pvillegal on 3/29/25Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

It would be better if the games played in the Stadium were also shown on the big screens. Great seats but can't really see the players expressions etc

  • Amazing experience

by Fábio Marcolino on 3/29/25Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

The all experience it’s was great since the beginner. Buy tickets, parking information, mob tickets delivered. I loved it

  • Great Tournament

by Coolman on 3/28/25Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

This was my third consecutive visit to the Miami Open. I love the venue-the Stadium, outer courts and fan area. The tournament always attracts the best players and by attending the middle weekend I get to see all of my favorites play. I was especially thrilled that Novak Djokovic decided to play Miami this year. My only request would be for the tournament to make the Lyft/Uber drop off and pickup more reliable for their customers. When traffic in Parking Lot 18 is light, the designated rideshare area is easy to use. When traffic is high, as when visitors are leaving and arriving at the same time, the parking attendants often make rideshare clients leave Lot 18 and try to find their rides on the sidewalk outside the lot. This makes that process very difficult. I had a hard time finding my driver several times-especially in the late afternoon and evening. Perhaps the tournament could find a different rideshare drop off location. It’s chaos when customers are trying to park their own vehicles in Lot 18 and rideshare customers are trying to find their rides at the same time.

  • Very Disappointed

by Ben on 3/28/25Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 2 out of 5

This is my 4th year attending the Miami Open. In previous years I purchased seats for 2 days during the semifinal matches, but this year I opted for quarterfinal night session matches with hopes of seeing more excellent players. I understand that weather and delays can effect scheduling but on both nights I was there, the 2nd halves of those sessions were cancelled and rescheduled for the day sessions. The only offer made was to pay an additional 10 Dollars to sit in the nose bleed sections the next morning. Also the service provided to those of us using the ADA parking lot was horrible. In previous years they dropped us off as close to the gate as they could, this year they dropped us the equivalent of several blocks away. I spent a lot of money on these seats and question whether I will return next year.

  • Such fun

  • An experience.

by Cuz on 3/27/25Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

It’s worst the trip to see and experience. Good family event as well. Weather was just right.

  • not as good as last years / poor food court

by Wolfgang on 3/27/25Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 2 out of 5

No respect for the players; spectators come and go as they please during the rallies. Very few stewards trying to enforce the rules. The ATP starting field was far from full, a lot of empty seats, which was not very attractive.

  • Fabulous!

by Ni on 3/27/25Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

Great time at the Miami Open- so much fun- beautiful grounds!

  • Good but pricey

by Finky on 3/27/25Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

Essentially it's a 5 star experience; parking, tickets and access are all pretty easy and the tennis speaks for itself. It's just the food and bev pricing that knocks a star off. 2 x cheeseburger and 1 fries came to $45 is not even the worst example. But you will have a great time.

  • Average 1000 event

    by Smally2 on 3/27/25Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

Been to Indian Wells, Toronto, and Cincinnati 1000 events and all of them were superior in every respect. The Granstand etc were great, but the stadium seating and pricing was just odd. 1:00 starts should be noon in order to not have to postpone later matches. Paid to see Djokovic quarter final and it was pushed to the next day. Saw ONE match with my evening ticket. Food quality (4x) was poor and poor value. Staff was friendly but woefully lacking in knowledge of the venue.

  • Highest level of tennis

by India on 3/27/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Have attended the MO since 2019 the year the tournament relocated to the HardRock stadium grounds. The best tennis players always attend this combined ATP and WTA 1000 level 2-week tournament held outdoors (therefore subject to rain deferrals and/or cancellation every year held as this is South Florida). I’ve noted great changes every year since 2019. Except access for persons with limited mobility (baby strollers, minor physical ailments, etc.) and handicap continue to be problematic and inconvenient especially from all of the Miami Open parking lots (black, orange, and yellow) as steps are required from all lots without all steps having a corresponding handicap ramp. They offer a shuttle from the Orange parking lot (unsure for Black parking lot but do not think they do a shuttle for the Yellow parking lot), but it is always difficult to catch the shuttle when leaving the event. A great aid is the Miami Open app, added in 2023. The app provides a great campus map of all the courts (match and practice), business venues (restaurants and shopping on campus and in the stadium), and restrooms offered on the grounds and in the stadium. Lots of previous negative comments or recommendations are addressed in this app, such as, courts and stadium map, restaurant listing and its location, scheduled and live matches that you customize by saving the matches you interested in watching, so forth. There were also physical campus maps with court and restaurant listing placed variously on the campus. It takes a moment to absorb all the activities and make reference due to the campus size and its separate stadium (accessible only if you have a stadium ticket). I recommend downloading the Miami Open app and walking the whole location in advance of matches starting to familiarize yourself and your best enjoyment.
