What is the Miami Open?
The Miami Open is a professional tennis tournament held annually in March in Miami, Florida that draws some of the top tennis talent on the men's and women's tours. Also known as the Miami Masters, it is an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event on the men's tour and a Premier Mandatory event on the women's tour. The tennis event is held at Hard Rock Stadium where the NFL's Miami Dolphins play among other events. It was previously held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne just off the coast of Miami.
The event moved to Hard Rock Stadium after over $500 million was spent in renovations, including a new tennis campus featuring 29 permanent tournament and practice courts as well as additional food and entertainment facilities. The 14,000-seat center court within Hard Rock Stadium is designed for intimacy, luxury and a comfortable fan experience. A state-of-the-art in-stadium shade canopy and the largest video board in tennis offers a luxury seating experience.

Players were great to watch up close . The venue was not set up well like in the past . It was hard to get to courts because of setup . The food venue was small and food was cold when waited in long lines . Merchandise selection was limited too .
Great event. Everything is digital so Ticketmaster can get overwhelmed at times so buy early and get tixs in your wallet. Looking forward to next year.
Hey, Miami Open, event was great event. The entrance into the area was very good for wheelchair access. Some of the ramps were a little hard for me but always got to help that I needed including going up over the artificial grass to the food area. The tennis matches inside the stadium Went well as sat on the third deck and view the matches with ease.
Miami Open set up is magical. And everything is almost perfect. With the exception of the Stadium. Instead of having a tennis stadium (like US Open or Crandon Park), or building a proper one (like the Grandstand at Miami Open), we have this crazy architectural set up which is half a football venue and half built for tennis. The supposedly premium seats (original football stadium) are actually very poor for watching the game, including the VIP clubs. It doesn’t make any sense. The stadium is where you have the best matches but the worst court to actually watch the game.
Great 3 days lots of great tennis and fun !!!!!! Parking is a little walk .
Love the event - but - buying tickets for stadium seating is not worth the money. The seats we had were WAY too far away from the court to be enjoyable. The out court viewing is much better. The tennis facility for the stadium is constructed inside the football stadium thus the seats can be very far from the court - unless of course you buy the VIP's which are probably good. The facilities for food and drink are good.
The venue including facilities, stores and food were fantastic. The organization to enter the orange parking terrible. The exit doors to get out of the venue pretty small for such a big event. To make it a better customer experience they should have sunscreen station in different areas. Overall a fantastic tournament and we would love to come back.
Taxi and Uber transportation after the night session seemed very unorganized.
The food was horrendous and crazy expensive… Everything else was great!!
Parking experience is terrible. Should be more organized. People that planned ahead and bought the parking ticket is mixed all together with people that will pay at the gate. Lost almost 1 hour in parking line. It sucks!
Parking was a mess, it was like musical chairs in the stadium. Staff never checked seats people kept sitting in other seats until the people came. Ruined our experience! Really obnoxious
Parking organization really sucks. Entrance should be more organized
The parking situation is atrocious. It took 45 minutes to get into the parking lot and then parking a good 2/3 of a mile away from entrance. Then we get in line to find out no handbags are allowed. Lockers were not working so I literally had to throw my bag away! The damn thing was empty and rolled up with nothing but our wallets and sunscreen in the little plastic bags the give you. There was nowhere on the Miami open site that mentioned anything about that in an obvious and clear way. Our expensive seats were in full sun all day which I never would have bought had I known. We bought for 3 day and night sessions and didn’t even bother going the 3rd day. The kicker is how they suck up to the WAG influencers. These girls couldn’t give a s*** about tennis. They come to watch their boyfriends. They send them these nice little “welcome” boxes with Miami Open swag while those of us who are die hard tennis players and fans spend thousands to get nothing but a seat. The most pathetic part is the MO person who manages the page making comments like “the queen is here” etc… You must be kidding. I have absolutely nothing against the girls who are here to support their loved one but give me a break. It’s so disrespectful to those of us who actually support this sport and the tournaments.
I still prefer Key Biscayne, Indian Wells, and the US Open, but considering how hastily this tournament had to find or invent a new venue, they've done a great job. One very minor negative was how few of the employees at the smaller food and beverage vendors spoke English. I realize there's a "shame on you for only speaking one language" mentality (I speak three, just not Spanish), but if you want to attract fans from other states or countries, have at least one English speaker at all vendors.
Wonderful to see the skill level of the pro players in person. Nice facility, perhaps poor decisions made on placement of certain matches on certain courts. Big name players placed on smaller courts without adequate seating kept a significant number of people from seeing the big draws. Should have had a shuttle for the parking situation.
We had a wonderful experience! Only negative was the quality of the food.
You need more information on site about tennis training court. Take a look how Indian wells show that information.the fans really like seeing player on training sesión
My visit to the stadium and other courts was really a very good experience, the only problem I had was with the Parkin , I bought the parking for the three days I went to the event , but the last day , on Friday afternoon, there was no place any people from the even sent me to the parking of the Walmart , something that I really didn’t like. I pay for a parking sesión and I couldn’t use it. Someone will redound this to me?
We had a great time! All except for 2 things. Gauff & Pegula's doubles match was in the smallest court. We got there early, sitting in the sun. Then the match was delayed almost 2.5 hours and then it went 3 sets, so we ran out of water and we were all dying of thirst. #1 - you need to provide water for sale in the courts especially in a case like that one. #2 The court was way too small to hold the hundreds of people who wanted to come in. The line went around the court, most people never got in, and the ones who were in, couldn't risk leaving to get water. That was really bad. One of my friends felt faint afterwards so we took her to the Advent health tent. The nurse said she has seen a lot of heat related patients and it's really scary. So please consider selling water inside so people can buy it without losing their seat. And when you have 2 Americans, ranked 3 & 6 in the world, playing doubles - put them on Grand Stand so everyone can enjoy it, Out of the 2 days we were there, that was the best match we saw!
