What is the Miami Open?

The Miami Open is a professional tennis tournament held annually in March in Miami, Florida that draws some of the top tennis talent on the men's and women's tours. Also known as the Miami Masters, it is an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event on the men's tour and a Premier Mandatory event on the women's tour. The tennis event is held at Hard Rock Stadium where the NFL's Miami Dolphins play among other events. It was previously held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne just off the coast of Miami.

The event moved to Hard Rock Stadium after over $500 million was spent in renovations, including a new tennis campus featuring 29 permanent tournament and practice courts as well as additional food and entertainment facilities. The 14,000-seat center court within Hard Rock Stadium is designed for intimacy, luxury and a comfortable fan experience. A state-of-the-art in-stadium shade canopy and the largest video board in tennis offers a luxury seating experience.

We found it well organised, very attentive to the guest, we felt at home. We received the right support while solving a small problem. We are Italians, I don't know when but we will return. Thank you! Viva Sinner viva il Tennis

  • You spoiled the day for me

by Zuka on 4/1/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 1 out of 5

Matches were delayed the day I had tickets for the next day and instead for 100$ tickets that we had you gave us ones for 25. I have problems with my eyes and can not see for more than 15 minutes long distance. Worst experience ever.

  • Discouraging

by Bob on 4/1/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 1 out of 5

Parking is a disaster. Had to walk 3/4 of a mile to get to the stadium. After a short period of time the day was rained out. The stadium charged 35 to 40 dollars to park. My last time to go to the venue.

  • Fraud

by Mac on 4/1/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 1 out of 5

I payed extra for good seats, sec 109 row 5, and after the game was canceled for rain they gave me the cheapest seats you could buy. Sec 344 row 25

  • Good, but could be better

    by D J Spin on 4/1/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

The place is good, but is so far from the city and the public transportation doesn’t exist. The stadium is good an the vision was excellent. A lot of people like to sit in other’s seats (it happened 3 times with me), you should control it better.

  • Disappointment

by Wilfrido on 4/1/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

No matter games were outstanding, weather inclement issues diminished the excitement of tournament . Two days in a row , games were suspended , one cancelled and this is not good if you purchase a ticket to watch comfortably an event.

  • Information for parking

by LaVero on 3/31/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

The map before getting to the event and the actual parking were not the same. And the signs for parking were confusing

I like the venue. I think it can use more options for food. A little jazz (trio) in the court yard could make the ground more enjoyable.

  • Nice Stadium

by Tori on 3/31/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

It was clean and spread out. Not crowded and the merchandise was expensive.

The organizer should rethink his organization about the tournament, this is not a tournament for him but for the public, in the 16th finals he had scheduled 5 matches for the grandstand and 3 matches for stadium. This is unbelievable, we buy the stadium matches erverytime, expecting to be good games there all times, he comes with his american speaches, but he left american guy play on grandstand as well, so you guys should reconsider him, i am in a group of 20 people that went in this day, and i am speaking for them. I am not even speaking about quarter finals that he made a mess even bigger, starting the games at 1:00 PM just waiting for the rain to start and to postpone tbe match to the next day, making our tickets that were in section 116 change to section 354, how would you feel if that happened to you? James blake knew a lot about tenis, but you should look for some one that knows about schedule, clearly he does not kno anything about it. He only preserves american players, which is even uglier for you american guys.

  • Rained out

by Karen on 3/31/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

Be prepared as if it is rained out long waits, parking not close and confused as to what to do next!

  • I had a great time!

by Qiana on 3/31/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

I had a great time and cannot wait to attend next year. I think I will do two days as there is so much to see and I didnt get to do it all.

  • The worst tennis experience had

by FJC on 3/31/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 1 out of 5

The Rain delay was from 7 pm until 11 pm And theres no decent place to hangout until then ( paid $ 50 for a few pieces of warm sushi ) So after paying $40 for parking and $200 for two tickets the total for the eve was $300 and I didnt see a point played cause who was waiting for 4 hrs in those facilities. No mention of refund so I wont ever be going back to the Miami Open .

  • A first time experience

by GHD on 3/31/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

Thought the Venue was good. Certainly enjoyed the matches. I think the organizers should spend a couple days at the Western Southern Open in Cincinnati. That would give them all the details they need for improvement

  • Tennis great parking not so

by Anne on 3/31/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

Went Monday so could see variety of matches on grounds and in stadium. All good. But getting parked not so easy. I pre bought parking pass and assumed there would be signs for a prepaid line into Orange lot. Not so. Seemed undermanned in contrast to great staffing inside venue. Hope that gets improved for future.

  • Great experience

by Leinot on 3/31/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

I had a really good time. My first time attending a Master open and it was just as I dreamed. All was perfect.

  • Room for improvement

by JFJ on 3/30/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

Event well organised, but infrastructure and support rather weak. It was raining after an hour of match and we have to wait for two hours to restart. Seats were noisy because of the constructions, all metallic. Food court similar to previous years, no options to rest, bathrooms busy and dirty.

  • Hard Rock location not an upgrade

by DonnaW on 3/30/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

Quality tennis however Hard Rock venue lacked atmosphere and the organization was surprisingly poor. Only one gate was open for the ORANGE parking lot creating a massive traffic jam. It was so bad that a decision was ultimately made to let people park for free to alleviate the bottleneck. Unfortunately we had paid in advance. At the chicken concession in the stadium, we were told they were out of buns, out of honey mustard dipping sauce, and out of Pepsi. In essence, they were out of 70% of the menu. We also found the signage very poor in the stadium and the atmosphere to generally be dead. As someone who travels around to various tournaments, it was disappointing compared to equivalent events in Indian Wells, Toronto, and Montreal. Used to really love the Key Biscayne location — this is no upgrade!
