What is the Miami Open?
The Miami Open is a professional tennis tournament held annually in March in Miami, Florida that draws some of the top tennis talent on the men's and women's tours. Also known as the Miami Masters, it is an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event on the men's tour and a Premier Mandatory event on the women's tour. The tennis event is held at Hard Rock Stadium where the NFL's Miami Dolphins play among other events. It was previously held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne just off the coast of Miami.
The event moved to Hard Rock Stadium after over $500 million was spent in renovations, including a new tennis campus featuring 29 permanent tournament and practice courts as well as additional food and entertainment facilities. The 14,000-seat center court within Hard Rock Stadium is designed for intimacy, luxury and a comfortable fan experience. A state-of-the-art in-stadium shade canopy and the largest video board in tennis offers a luxury seating experience.

Had tickets for 2 matches at the Miami Open and was only able to see one due to rain delays. Lack of clarity on seeking refunds when there is a match postponed due to the rain.
Experience was good overall but improvements are needed to make it even better: 1. Food areas need more healthy options that have salads, fresh juices and vegetarian options. 2. Parking needs better signage and personnel giving directions.. 3. Tea needs to be available for non coffee drinkers 4. Needs more wheelchair and elderly persons accessibility - saw many old persons struggle up the ramp to 1st floor.
great event… a little expensive but a great experience. Just need better trained staff on board
Ushers and patrons blocked the view. We needed to keep on telling them to move. Not sure if it’s worth getting reasonable tickets . I plan to retinal next year!!!
Quarterfinal was rain delayed a day. Tickets given for that session were 18 rows higher than ones we had purchased. We were told they were the best available, but people were clearly buying better seats at the same time. We should have been given better seats.
Love this tournament. Love the location. Great access to the players.
The actual event is great. The campus, restaurants and facilities in general is a great place to be for a full day of tennis. Mi issue is with the parking. There was help on getting to parking lots. Prepaid parking is the same as nothing as all lots were full when I arrived. If you are going to sell pre paid parking make sure you have a space for them if not you are cheating your customers.
it was great: games, atmposhere and estructure over all. Next year, maybe try to adjust schedule a little earlier so it can be possible organize time and space to be at the games around the stadium, but it is a experience to repeat every year.
Our original seats were for Session 18, Section M, Row 6, Seats 3 and 4. Due to the rainout of the matches on March 29, we were given replacement tickets for Session 20, Section 243, Row 5, Seats 14 and 15 on March 30. The view from the replacement seats was horrible and did not compare with the view available from the original seats. Under the circumstances, I believe I should be given a partial refund.
I buy a 200 usd ticket for Wednesday and because the rain change to Thursday to the last sit in the stadium
Attended the last week of the Miami Open. Courteous staff and well organized event. Unfortunately had a rain cancel for one of the sessions (absolutely normal - this happens) and organization sent replacement tickets for a session that I had already previously bought. Sent an email and called the customer line explaining the situation and the matter was promptly resolved. Was re-allocated to another session I did not have on my schedule. Really enjoyed the atmosphere! Looking forward to coming again!
The grounds and stadium were beautiful. The tennis was awesome. A better location would be nice. We stayed in the area and there was nothing to do and no really good restaurants to enjoy close by.
My whole family is crazy about tennis. We’ve been to Roland Garros, Wimbledon and US Open and they are all unbelievable. But Miami is home and every year my family is here to enjoy the event. We noticed the commitment of everybody involved to make Miami Open better and better each year. Everything has been turning out great but I think they should pay attention in specially two things: - First of all the food in the Stadium is terrible. - Second we had tickets for section 113 for the Quarterfinals on Wednesday when the event was cancelled. And the way they fit us in section 347 was disrespectful. We had paid for a much better view seat and we couldn’t even see if the ball was in or out from where they put us. And they didn’t even care….
Good tournament, the grounds excellent, well organized, the stadium seating needs improvement, in the 300 section there is too much disorder people take other’s the seat, walk in the middle of the game, some sections are too bad to watch the game well example 342, the ticket process online is good but in person is too long, the purse/ bag policy changed from one day to another so the same purse 👜 I bring one day was not allowed the next. Seats in the stadium lower sections are too expensive probably that is why there were mostly empty Overall very enjoyable tournament, thank for for the organization and hard work to give us this opportunity to watch the best tennis!
Eh, Hard Rock is not an easy stadium to get to; traffic guards were minimal, long schelp to the actual facility. Food is salty and expensive (typical stadium stuff). Plus it rained and no info was provided until 9 pm or so (match postponed). Our tickets couldn’t be resold and we couldn’t stick around for 24 hours. So ~$500 in the trash. We’re done.
We received a email with little details, i went with a little backpack the size the email told when we got there didnt let us in because should be PVC, but never in anyone of the thousand emails you sent told me had to be transparent. So i had to put everything in a ziplock when i got in there where people with backpacks. The other thing is that i bought morning and night sessions, my day rain a lot and not even had the night session and you dont give an option. And for last the tennis app is terrible, the day we went you dont make an atualization with the time or if was goibg to happen the games at night . I had to search at google because it was better
It rained, and notification was horrible. We were not kept up on what’s going on stayed there for hours. It was very difficult to have a beverage. The food ran out, and the food choices were terrible in the area and then at the end there was no police when we were departing so it took me like 45 minutes to leave the parking lot only to learn that my tickets were worthless. Basically the next day as I had to be there for the first session which was a major inconvenience There has to be a better way to improve this two of my friends that had tickets to didn’t arrive because it was such a hassle getting there also, it was very hard to get into the parking lot. I told my wife when I return home I will never buy tickets for an event like that again I’m sorry to report, but the Miami of them was a major disappointment and a big waste of my money.
The way they handled the rain cancellation by moving people in section 100 to 300 and offering grounds passes was poorly planned. of course they offered grounds passes… they wanted you to go there and spend even more money. There was 1 game on the grandstand, it was not comparable. Shame on you Miami Open!
Schedule, Location, Appearance, Staff... all getting better, was an amazing event. Only concern is the weather that affect the games when raining, case of session 18. Any plans to cover the stadium?
