What is the Miami Open?

The Miami Open is a professional tennis tournament held annually in March in Miami, Florida that draws some of the top tennis talent on the men's and women's tours. Also known as the Miami Masters, it is an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event on the men's tour and a Premier Mandatory event on the women's tour. The tennis event is held at Hard Rock Stadium where the NFL's Miami Dolphins play among other events. It was previously held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne just off the coast of Miami.

The event moved to Hard Rock Stadium after over $500 million was spent in renovations, including a new tennis campus featuring 29 permanent tournament and practice courts as well as additional food and entertainment facilities. The 14,000-seat center court within Hard Rock Stadium is designed for intimacy, luxury and a comfortable fan experience. A state-of-the-art in-stadium shade canopy and the largest video board in tennis offers a luxury seating experience.

  • Underwhelming

by Tony on 4/5/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 2 out of 5

Much too large a venue, no atmosphere at all during the men’s final, distances to food and drink are too long, pricing is beyond ridiculous. Even a dedicated tennis fan struggles to see the value of this event.

  • Roof or Covering

by Rhonda on 4/5/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

Be aware if you are purchasing seats for the day match not to sit on the sunny side.

  • Everything was great but the parking

by Luca on 4/5/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

Please change how you manage the Orange parking. This is the 2nd year in a row I spend 30 minutes parking for no reason: open multiple gates when the first lot is full, don't send all the cars from a full lot. it's just a waste of time. Also, open multiple gates to enter the stadium, if you park far away in the Orange parking you have to go back to get the bridge.

  • 2023 Miami Open

by Shawn M. on 4/4/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

Parking for the event was disorganized and caused a significant amount of fans to miss the beginning of the Men’s Final match on April 2, 2023

  • Great Tennis - Lackluster infrastructure

by Tennis D on 4/4/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 2 out of 5

Probably my first and my last time at the Miami open. Parking was a nightmare with limited signage, no one to guide traffic, no security! Onto the stadium… it was horrific to see half of the stadium baking in the sun with no coverage. The seats are so close together that it feels worse than flying coach on a cheap carrier. There was no one to guide people to their assigned seats causing continuous caos during the game with people trying to figure out where could they seat while others had taken theirs. There were limited food options and they managed to run out of Pepsi… lol. Miami deserves more for the sport!

  • Pretty Good Overall

by Ev on 4/4/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

Not as packed as anticipated. Less crowd means less energy. As usual, super expensive drinks. $15 for a small cup of wine. $10 for vodka spritzer.

  • Tennis unreal, organization medium

by Tongas on 4/4/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

Everything perfect, until the postponed matches because of rain, the lady didn’t want to change our tickets, despite we having received email with confirmation

  • Not very good for a women’s final.

by NandoP on 4/4/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

The location and visual angle of the row of seats that my family received (Area 148) is very bad for watching a tennis match. The people in front of us didn't let us enjoy the game, because they blocked the view. These seats are not to be sold. Access to the stadium is a labyrinth under construction, very unpleasant. And the pizza was raw.

  • Great event

  • Sunny open

by Jp on 4/4/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

Great grounds, atmosphere but seats were in direct sun and we could not tolerate watching the entire match there

  • Great experience

by Dorrie on 4/4/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

Thoroughly enjoyed the event and will gladly use ticket master to go again!

  • Excellent 3 Days

by Gigi on 4/4/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

We decided to go for the Mini Plan which gives us access to the final 3 days. This worked out great and we had an excellent time at all the events. The stadium and the village setup for food and entertainment were fantastic. Lots of great food and drink options. Loved Kool & the Gang as the band on Saturday night. There were beautiful spots to take photos and enjoy being outside between play time. Staff were so helpful, friendly, and cheerful. Even the parking was easy. Only thing we wished for was to have bought seats in the shade. With matches starting at 13:00 in the afternoon, the sun seats felt like we were watching tennis on the sun. Hat and sunscreen are a must but not enough. Not sure if anything can be done about that but that was the one negative. The other suggestion based on observation is that a majority of expensive seats were empty and the cheaper seats were completely packed even in nose bleed or in the sun. Until the event in this new location gains more viewership and momentum, pricing needs to be more attractive for the seats overall so the stadium doesn’t look empty.

  • Parking is a nightmare

by VH on 4/3/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

I loved it. The seats and everything. I would definitely come back next year

  • Not enough video feed

by Jackie on 4/3/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

We enjoyed the Miami Open a lot but wish they had live video footage and closeups of the players on the big screens more often along with more instant replays. They do this at the US Open and it’s great.

  • Great event!!

by Marty Z on 4/3/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

All was great with the event itself. Staff were friendly and helpful. Options of food and drinks were on par. The only negative is the parking situation. I feel like the parking zones and logistics can be improved massively.

  • Great Event

Miami Open at the Hard Rock Stadium is a great event. Very organized. Awesome environment. Prices should be lowered.

  • Tournament review

by Juan on 4/3/23Hard Rock Stadium - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

I wonder why you don’t have more and larger monitors in the outside areas. When the tournament was in Key Biscayne this was the case. In the stadium you don’t put a replay in the big screen of the good points and plays. This was also done in key Biscayne but not here. Other than this all was good.
