Matt Nathanson is a folk-rock singer and songwriter from Lexington, Massachusetts. As a solo artist, Nathanson has released 13 studio albums since launching with his 1993 debut, Please. His fifth album, 2003’s Beneath These Fireworks, served as his first major label release, though his 2007 follow-up, Some Mad Hope, achieved his first mainstream chart success behind the Hot 100-charting single “Come On Get Higher,” which would later be certified triple-platinum. Nathanson would hit the Hot 100 twice more with “Faster” and the Sugarland collaboration “Run” from 2011’s Modern Love. He also reached a new career peak at No. 16 on the Billboard 200 for 2013’s Last of the Great Pretenders. In 2022, Nathanson released his 13th album, Boston Accent, capping a prolific run of three full-length releases in three years. Nathanson’s music and extensive covers catalog have appeared across film and television, including The Bachelor, One Tree Hill and the American Pie franchise.

Various presales begin in the days leading up to the general onsale, with the artist presale beginning Tuesday, April 9 at 12:00 p.m. local time. This was one of the best concerts I have ever seen. Loved the smaller venue (The Magnolia) and the interaction of both Matt and the guy who opened for him (sorry cannot remember his name) with the audience. Both were very personable and gave amazing performances. I would definitely go to another concert with Matt Nathanson!

Fantastic show! Matt played with a passion that poured out of him. Great energy and good vibes all night. The opening act, Donovan Woods was also really cool. We loved his sense of humor as well as his music.
Matt comes out does a few songs from B.Accent,noticed there were two young people in first few rows,doesn't want to use f bombs so starts using sign language that was hilarious. Gets into some mad hope and just does the songs beautifully. Tells a funny story about musicals with his Daughter, wife and off we go.couple super hits then only the good die young and a sunshine sing along, matt is a shining star in the HUMAN RACE.
Always love seeing Matt Nathanson. Have been now to 18 shows in 15 years. This was probably top 3. Incredible and fun. The opening act, Donovan Woods, was an absolute surprise. Just as entertaining as the main act. Overall, a fantastic night out. Thanks Matt, Donovan, Aaron and other guy.
From his pre-show banter to his last bow, this man gives and gives and gives of himself. The humor, the depth of his songwriting, and his pure performer soul engages you the entire night. Thank you Matt for bringing us along on your ride.

This is the fourth time I have seen Matt and he is always a musical guest in our house. Fantastic show and loved the Billy Joel song. Common complaint would be the show was only two-hours or so long and my wife makes odd giggling noises when he plays. I tried to get the pre show but it was sold out which his merchandise guy said was odd because there were only about 30 people in there when they usually do more. Can’t wait for the next tour-and hope he remembers Kinks shirt!
Matt Nathanson was great, but the venue set up left many open seats on the floor but still forcing many concert goers to the balcony. This show was a first-come, first-served seated show, so all tickets were general admission (no seat numbers), and the entire venue floor had rows of seats. The rows of seats were in groups of five; so five seats, an aisle, five seats, an aisle, and so on. Each row had 20 seats grouped into four sets of five chairs. The VAST majority of concert goers were couples, so nearly every row had two people, an empty seat, then two more people, leaving multiple empty single chairs on the floor. Even though we arrived 45 minutes before the opening act, the floor had only single seats open, forcing us to sit on the balcony where we couldn’t have alcoholic drinks. We saw MANY open floor seats, but because they were single seats in the middle of two couples, nobody took them. An easy solution would have been to have seats in groups of 4 and 6- same number of seats & aisles per row, but in groupings more accommodating to couples & concert goers in groups of 2.
Matt is honestly one of my favorite performers. Not only is his music fantastic, but engages with his audience like no other musician. He is a must see!
The venue was intimate. I was front row. It felt like Matt was singing to me from my lap. Matt is an amazing performer that weaves stories through his music. His high energy and vivid set design made this concert spectacular.
Matt really delivered. Great mix of old and new music. I am so glad he is touring again. I can't wait until the next show.
Matt performed most if not all of his 2007 album and highlights of his New Album. He had the crowd applauding and up on their feet while singing along with the lyrics. Great Show.
Donovan was the perfect opener. Great musician! Matt was amazing! It was like being at a jam session at your best friend's house. Just the right amount of conversation and fantastic music!
It was great to see Donovan Woods as the opener after having recently discovered his music. He was funny and his music was great! Matt Nathanson's show blew me away. I was expecting to like it, because I like his music, but he and his band were energetic funny, went off-script, and sounded absolutely AMAZING in person. I have been listening to his show list nonstop since seeing him on Sunday and can't wait to see him perform live again. One of the best shows I've seen!!!
Venue was small and intimate. Not from Charleston, crowd was too mellow for my taste and for the level of excitement Matt Nathanson brings to the stage. Would definitely travel to a different city to see him!
My first time seeing Matt Nathanson live was 6 years ago. He opened for Train. My husband likes his music and has listened since then, and he suggested we get tickets. This was our first time at this venue and Wow!, it’s beautiful. Matt put on a great show, interacted with the audience, and told engaging stories about the inspiration behind his songs and albums.
Loved every minute of Matt Nathanson’s concert at the Carolina Theater in Durham, NC! He and his band are the best! Opening with Boston Accent was amazing! My husband and I see Matt’s concerts whenever he is near us in Charlotte. We added the VIP upgrade for an acoustic set and Q&A. Matt is so kind, honest, and shares his time. 10 million stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Go see him!
Three Matt Nathanson shows in five days and I wish there were dozens more. Each performance was unique and special. This tour in particular is very personal and honest - raw and brimming with emotion. Matt is an amazing performer and keeps you in the palm of his hand for the entire show. It was communal and beautiful! Opener, Donovan Woods, also exceptional!
