  • GREAT! Just like last year!

by CNJLandscapeGuy on 1/7/25PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 4 out of 5

This was GREAT again this year (2024) just like last year (2023). The only negative I have is: some of the bulbs on some of the sculptures were out. Takes away from the magic a little bit. We all know bulbs go out all the time, so I am hoping they were all put up (with care) in full working order and just burned out as time goes by each year. It's great to drive through. The day we went we were offered a second drive-through for free - so we took advantage of it. We enjoy stopping at the village 1/2 way through. There's great activities for the kids, some cool souvenirs (we bought the light-up cups), and some yummy food and drinks. If you can: purchase your tickets ahead of time online!!! We got ours for $20. I think it was $30/$35 at the gate! For me the Monster Truck and the Dragon were the best. Also love the dinosaurs!!!

  • Light Show PNC

by patlex on 1/7/25PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 3 out of 5

Honestly.. not worth it this year. Same exact lights as always woukd be nice if they switch it up. Also shorter drive than can remember. maybe 10 minutes all together if you drive really slow

  • love the lights but getting to be a bit too pricey

by the price has gone up too much ! on 1/7/25PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 4 out of 5

I have attended the holiday lights at PNC for many years but at $35 for a car it is very pricey

  • Light show

by Sash on 1/7/25Northwell at Jones Beach Theater - WantaghRating: 3 out of 5

went on 1/425, some of the lights were not working and the whole presentation needs a facelift/ new characters. This is my second year of seeing it and it feels like the same thing. Not as exciting

  • Totally sucks!

by Mom on 1/7/25PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 2 out of 5

Don’t brother with the Ice Skating next year with plastic mats! My son plays Hockey and almost broken his ankle on it. Such a waste. 1 s’more station for To many people. Petting Zoo closed to early.

  • A little magic

by Fun on 1/7/25PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 5 out of 5

Very joyous and a fun little car ride for the family. The “Santa’s” village with the animals was a cute touch for that little extra touch :)

  • Awesome Experience

by Tess on 1/7/25PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 5 out of 5

We've done this every year for over a decade... amazing light displays and a fun stop in the middle for kids, snacks and photo ops.

  • A Great Experience for All

    by Famof3 on 12/15/24Rating: 5 out of 5

Very magical seeing the lights. I like the little village set up with vendors. Really special moment. I also like that they had the picture with Santa available for purchase. Definitely a great thing to do during the holiday.

  • Enjoyed

Fun night for all. Scored early access price. However vendors prices were very steep. Keep it affordable for families.

  • Don't Bother Going

by Joel H. on 1/22/24Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater - WantaghRating: 1 out of 5

Not worth waiting over two--that's 2--that's II--hours. The wait was too long, get it? Horrible crowd (car) control, no one directing traffic. The lights were OK, nothing to write home about. We've seen better. Go see the tree in Rock Ctr instead.

  • Awesome light show

  • Exciting

by Deb on 1/4/24PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 4 out of 5

Outstanding light show and whimsical creature displays. Loved the themed areas of the drive, too -- especially the tunnel of lights! Was expecting more from the Village section but it WAS the last day of the show following Christmas after all. Note: rest rooms were a mess.

  • A LOT FOR A LITTLE

by GOONIE on 1/4/24PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 2 out of 5

THE LIGHTS WERE FANTASTIC- THE INTERACTIVE MUSIC WHILE DRIVING WAS GREAT. HOWEVER, THE TIME IN CAR WAS SHORT. YOU ARE DRIVING FOR 5 MINUTES, THEN HAVE TO STOP TO GO INTO HTE VILLAGE WHICH WAS BEAUTIFUL. THE HOLIDAY VILLAGE WAS FANTASTIC.. HOWEVER, THE FOOD/DRINK/SMORES/ICE SKATING/SANTA VISIT- BEYOND OVER PRICED. FOR A 4 OZ. MINI JUICE BOX FOR MY DAUGHTER, $4 PLUS TAX. (A DOLLAR PLUS PER OUNCE FOR JUICE) HOT CHOCOLATE WAS WATERY, AND NOT WORTH $8. SMORES FOR PRE-BAGGED KID I FORGET HOW MUCH, BUT MARSHMELLOW WAS HARD AND BARELY MELTED. THE ATTENDANT APPOLOGIZED AND SAID WE ARE GIVEN THIS. ITS NOT UP TO THEM. ICE SKATING WAS TEMPTING BUT NOT FOR $30 ON FAKE ICE THAT WAS NOT ACTUALLY ICE AT ALL. EVERYTHING IN HOLIDAY VILLAGE WAS WAY OVER PRICED AND NOT WORTH IT. SANTA WAS GREAT, BUT $30 FOR A DIGITAL PIC WITH SANTA, NOT EVEN PRINTED OUT ON PAPER WAS OBSURD. TO ONLY GO BACK INTO THE CAR TO FINISH THE LIGHTS WHICH WAS ANOTHER QUICK 5 MINUTE DRIVE. THE LIGHTS WERE STUNNING. BUT THE TIME IN CAR IS NOT ENOUGH, IT SHOULD BE LONGER. BACK IN THE PRE-COVID DAYS, YOU DID THE ENTIRE CAR DRIVE FIRST, THEN HOLIDAY VILLAGE AT THE END. EITHER WAY, NOT WORTH THE PRICE, ALTHOUGH THE KIDS AND I DID THOROUGHLY ENJOY IT, I COULD SPEND $150 ON MUCH BETTER THINGS THAN THIS!

  • Awesome Light Show

  • Need an update

by Pooz on 1/3/24PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 4 out of 5

My grandkids (toddlers) love it. We’ve gone for 3 years in a row and there have been few, if any, updates. It’s time! That said, it’s still great for little ones and it’s really pretty

  • Magical

by Dani on 1/3/24Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater - WantaghRating: 5 out of 5

We have been attending the Magic of Lights for the last few years. It is always a fun night driving thru the light displays.

  • Amazing Time for whole Family

by Josan on 1/3/24Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater - WantaghRating: 4 out of 5

The show was amazing and well worth the price. The little village they created was very cute and perfect to get out and stretch. I only wish that there were better directions and signage as we almost couldn’t find the correct entrance along with several other cars - especially in the dark. Thankfully we didn’t give up but just finding the location was a little frustrating. Otherwise - amazing and would certainly go again !

  • Can You Do Better

by CC on 1/3/24Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater - WantaghRating: 3 out of 5

This year as I purchased tickets for the Jones Beach Light Show and the Riverhead light show, I find that Jones Beach raised its prices, but offer a 20% discount that never appeared during purchase. In addition to higher prices, for the first time we encountered a +45-minute line to get in, with no direction or minimal directions posted. Relied on the multiple other vehicles to hope they knew where they were going. In additional to a ridiculous +45-minute wait, we get into the event to find many displays not fully lit, with a few bulbs and/or a string of lights out. So if I understand the capitalist approach correctly, higher prices, longer wait, and poorer quality displays. Just the way it should be. Keep it up. Moving on to Riverhead Lights going forward. What a shame.

  • The magic lights were amazing.

by Evelyn on 1/3/24PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 5 out of 5

It was my first time going with my husband and our two kids. My daughter was so excited seeing all the characters of Christmas lit up she was loving it. They had different Christmas themes for the light show. After we finished the lighting tour we stopped in the village where they had more Christmas decorations and a Santa shop for pictures with Santa. The place was perfect for taking beautiful pics. They had a small ice rink for everyone to enjoy and smores roasting by a fire pit. It was wonderful. We are definitely coming back next year.

  • Light Show

by Tresia on 1/3/24Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater - WantaghRating: 2 out of 5

The light show is ok after seeing it for the second time. I think they should add more lights and give a new surprise every year.
