Love it will be back again next year for sure and the years after
The light drive thru was ok. Nothing very special. The stop in the middle was awful. There were no un-colored sheets for my son to color and only a couple broken crayons to color with. The Santa mail box was completely full. And Santa pictures were $35 for a digital print with one of the most awful Santa's I've ever seen.
Lines were long. I felt rushed to get through. Displays were very average. There are better light shows in Jersey neighborhoods. Santa village was weak. This show should be revamped and brought into current times.
I have to say it is really fun to go to each year but there is not much that’s new, would like to see new lights or other things that are new to keep me wanting to come.
There was lots of lights out and half the displays were not working and half lit. And then inside has no direction on where to go and pick up extras that were bought. Don’t think it will be worth the money to go next year. Displays are the same every year didn’t even add extra stuff
We took our grandchildren and they both totally enjoyed all the amazing lights and stop at Santa’s village! This is our yearly tradition and we love it!!!
Kids liked it but Signage leading to event is lacking. Small signs placed in dark areas make navigating hard. Had to do a few turnarounds…please upgrade lighting and placement of signs!!!
We were excited to drive through this light show, especially after driving past it several times on the parkway. Although fun to do, it wasn’t WOW and was a bit lackluster compared to others we have been to. It is definitely more for kids than adults. It should be for both.
Saw the ad decided to go. Trying to get the ticket on the site was troublesome. Jones Beach show was awesome. The 2 hour line wait was frustrating, but worth it. Decided to try the one in New Jersey and was very disappointed. New York does it best
Took almost two hours just to get in. By the time we started, my wife, son and I were tired and cranky. The spirit had been sucked out of us. That and the lights we the same as every other year. Sure, they added some new displays, but overall it was the same thing. We waited almost two hours to get in then couldn't wait to get out. lol
We had gone in the past when it was very crowded and didn’t really enjoy the experience that much. However, this post year, we went on the Monday after Thanksgiving. We were literally the only car going through the drive through, could stop and take photos whenever e we wanted. Then, we were even able to get out and tour the Santa Village ( very few cars parked there). It was wonderful- a beautiful night that made such a nice memory! For me, that’s the only way to really enjoy the magnificent experience!
Drove over 3 hours from out of state and once we arrived they said they closed because the lights keep going out. So we left and got back on the parkway. I will take my $35 in ticket credit thanks 👍🏼
The lights were beautiful. My kids especially loved the dinosaurs, but it’s too short of an experience. 20 minutes about. I think 45 minutes would be the ideal time - adding double the amount of stuff to see. We didn’t go into the village because it was too cold that day. I have heard it’s a nice addition as well.
My family and I have been going to the PNC Magic of Lights show for the past 4 years as a tradition of sorts. The first two years were great but these last 2 years were really disappointing. A lot of the light bulbs were burnt out, the placement of the lights didn't make any sense (like counting the 12 days of Christmas backwards), all the lights are the same with nothing new to add, lack of variety, the music doesn't match the lights show anymore, there are stretches of emptiness where they could add more lights but don't, etc. This was probably the last year we are going which is a shame because this has potential to be really great again.
Traffic flow needs improvement along with accurate signage. Some signs pointed in one direction and yet we were moved in another direction. There should be an express lane for people with prepaid tickets. Getting behind people trying to buy goods or tickets at the gate was a big waste of time. The paths needed more cones and the lanes were tight in spots. Its time to upgrade the lights. I thought it was better years back with local advertisers.
3rd year here and i must say it has become family tradition especially for the kids. This year we got to experience the village and take pics with santa creating memories that last a lifetime
Love it. Must do in December. Even my dog loves it.
Everyone always enjoys The Magic of Lights, which we go to every year, from my elderly mother to my two year old grandson. It is so nice! This year they added a Barbie section which my grandson remembered from Toy Story. We made a pitstop inside the building and there was a man singing and playing the piano. My grandson loved hearing him sing, “You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch!” Fun for everyone! Will be back next year!
The Magic of Lights drive-thru show is cute, perhaps for younger children, it's over quickly, not a lot to see.
There were many large displays, featuring tons of lights, with entertaining animation and familiar characters. The experience was enjoyed by all age groups in our vehicle. One caution: the line of cars to enter was extremely long. We were bumper to bumper for over 30 minutes to reach the pay booth. (yes, there were bathroom facilities available at the end of the display.)
