what a horrible experience. We were excited to take the kids to this and as we waited we had no clue how far up ahead in traffic on the parkway this was. Put it to you shortly, We left house 6pm and didnt get home until 11pm. and we are a half hr away. 5 hours we were gone. 3 hours to even get to the ticket booth and we had tickets prepurchased thru the app. They do a horrible job to get you to it. Both sides of the pkway was SLAMMED with traffic. No escape!!!! We had to sit in traffic for 3 hrs JUST to get to the booth. It was a complete nightmare. 4 hrs total by the time we were done. Poorly organized with traffic. They shouldve put time slots in for tickets. And the lights were eh nothing impressive for that wait at all. Id never fo back again and every other car had the "kill me" facial expressions on too. Not worth it !!!!!

This experience of lights is just amazing. Driving through listening to the holiday music was a great unique experience. We were so excited to go to the area where Santa was, as well as the kids wanting to decorate a cookie. Well, the line for Santa was long, and it was FREEZING, plus my small children don't have much patience to wait that long in the cold. We decided to get the cookie so they can decorate since we did that last year and they wanted to do it again. We were on line for that darn cookie a little over a half hour. NOT even kidding! We were freezing and my kids were losing patience. REALLY???!!! A Half hour for a cookie? They should have had that separate since many people were in that line for food, hot chocolate and alcohol. Last year we didn't have to wait at all, and didn't expect that. When we got close we realized they only had two girls working. They should have had a couple more people in the back to help out and move the line faster! Other than that, it was nice.

We went to the display at the PNC Bank Arts Center on the second night it was opened and arrived at 5:30pm. The line took about 10 minutes. The drive through the display took about 15. We didn’t stop at the winter park. Our kids are 7 & 10. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the display, but to be honest, I was expecting more of a “wow” factor. Overall, it was a fun family night and the fact that the kids enjoyed it made it worth it.

We were there on the first night and it seems they didn't have all the kinks worked out. There were quite a few areas that the lights were not light.... But overall it was a good light show. The ice skating rink was awesome.. My grand daughter was excited to see Santa...

Not what I was expecting. The drive thru was very quick and the decoration just was so boring. I went with two kids and they both said “that’s it mami”. It took me longer to get there than the actual experience.

The Magic of Lights show is certainly fun but is relatively bland and short and is not a must-see on Long Island.

I enjoyed this event. I gave the rating of 4-stars only because of the entry process. It took quite a while to enter the event. Perhaps having more people collecting tickets would have made the process go smoother.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed it! We just wished it was longer! It went alittle fast.

HELLO CHRISTMAS LIGHT FANS!!!!!!!!! THIS YEAR WAS (AS EXPECTED) A TRIUMPH! I AM A HUGE FAN OF CHRISTMAS LIGHTS AND IT HAS BEEN A FAMILY TRADITION OF MINE TO DRIVE AIMLESSLY AROUND LONG ISLAND TO THE MORE FAMOUS AND RANDOM LOCATIONS OF LIGHTS. TRADITIONALLY, WE CAP OFF THE DRIVING ADVENTURES WITH THE JONES BEACH SPECTACULAR. IT IS INDEED THAT!!! THIS WILL REMAIN THE CAP OF MY FAMILY TRADITION AS OUR FAMILY BEGINS TO GROW, WE ARE EXPECTING OUR FIRST ON 2/28 SO NEXT CHRISTMAS A NEWBIE WILL BE JOINING US ON THE CHRISTMAS LIGHT ADVENTURES LOL!!! THANKS FOR BRINGING THE JONES BEACH SPECTACULAR BACK A FEW YEARS AGO. SEE YOU GUYS AGAIN NEXT YEAR!!!

Festive, Luminous & Beautiful Holiday fun for all!

Jones Beach Christmas Lights are the best. We went during a weeknight and were able to go slow and really see the show. We stopped at the concession stand and enjoyed some delicious hot chocolate with marvelous Milano Chocolate cookies. A must see and do for anyone who treasures Christmas light spectaculars.

Very nice for the family. Make sure to stop for hot chocolate and s’mores.

We went the night before Christmas Eve, so I had expected it to be crowded, but with the rain I thought it may not be too bad....but boy was I wrong! It was bumper to bumper that you couldn’t even enjoy the lights because it was barely moving. A good portion of the lights were out on the one side and it was disappointing to hear that the music played didn’t correlate with the lights on display like I have seen in other light shows. I think I went over ten years ago and it was the same exact thing, nothing New was added in over a decade! now I remember ten years ago why I said I would never return again. Definitely not worth $25

We were five adults in a small SUV and we all loved the light show. There was traffic volume, but it was reasonable. It was so fun!! The added feature of tuning in the radio to hear holiday music was quite nice. The lights were lovely; quite a nice variety. We did not visit the outdoor portion.....the night was too cold. I would definitely visit again next year and recommend it to others. Happy New Year!

Fun night for both kids and adults. Plenty of lights to see, good event!

Great light show....a lot of new lights and very cool synchronous lights. Will be going again next year.

My husband and I surprised our granddaughter and she LOVED It! What a great "added" touch to be able to tune to their radio station and listen to great CHRISTMAS music while we drove by the 2 1/2 miles of beautiful display of lights....wish it was more than 2 1/2 miles. =) See you next year!
