  • Two thumbs up, definitely recommend

by AML on 12/3/21Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

Fun displays and they aren't just loads of lights- they created little story boards and the themes were great. Went on a Sunday evening and basically had the road to ourselves (there were others there but well spaced and had plenty of time to stop and look if we wanted to).

  • really expensive for a 10 minute drive-thru

by chris on 12/2/21Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - RaleighRating: 1 out of 5

are dinosaurs holiday related now? the light tunnels were neat but overall a bad value for how short the experience was, you can't take your own pace as there are cars behind you. the chinese lantern festival is a much better use of your money.

  • The drive through was basic in style.

by Lisa on 11/30/21Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - RaleighRating: 3 out of 5

We drove 45 minutes in heavy traffic to come see some Christmas lights. Well, what we saw was basic in style and the radio station was full of static. I guess the company spent most of the budget on advertisements. It surely was not on the lights. As we drove up, the staff member presented us with an option to purchase souvenirs and food. After driving through, we should have been given a souvenir bag for free. Next year planning needs to include more lights and more lighting effects, same price, free trinkets, and an area to take pictures with Santas/elfs/reindeers.

  • Worth the money

It was entertaining and enjoyable. Worth the money. The staff was pleasant and cheerful.

  • Magical

A great way to end Thanksgiving Day!!! Entire family of adults was excited.

  • Exciting but not magical

by Zeppelin on 11/26/21Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - RaleighRating: 4 out of 5

Overall, this is a good one-time experience especially if you have kids. The layout of lights, decorations, different scenes and overall drive was quite pleasant. I wish they had a radio station that we could tune into that played holiday-themed songs. Lots of opportunities to improve though. The lights themselves are quite basic. No synchronous music or effects.

  • Spectacular

Me and my husband took our 2 year old who has autism she loved it and will be going again

  • The entrance was confusing

by Marvlus on 11/22/21PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 4 out of 5

My grandkids enjoyed the display but we were not impressd with the first set of lights. The decoration leaves a lot to be desired. Midway throught it seems to get better. The light tunnel was very nice, the kids loved it and talked about on their way home with glee. Would love to see a more intricate display in the future.

  • Great show, great restaurant!

by SirKnight on 11/22/21Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater - WantaghRating: 4 out of 5

Loved the food at the restaurant and the service was great. Drinks were great as well, all of the staff from the waitresses to the bartender were very professional and attentive. We saw The Rat Pack at the theater and it was a great tribute. They were entertaining and funny. The staff at the theater, however, were unorganized and need to let their patrons know of the Covid mask requirements BEFORE we enter the theater. We're from out of state and were given our wrist bands at the door, but we weren't told about the mask requirements until we were in our seats after the show started. Otherwise a great experience. Would definitely go again.

  • Spectacular

Awesome light show would definitely go again next year.

  • A little disappointing

by Gammie64 on 11/22/21Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek - RaleighRating: 3 out of 5

The traffic directions were great. Displays were spaced out too far from each other. There was no holiday music playing anywhere. We were at Walnut Creek- where was the music?? The cookie box cost $15 and had some Hersheys kisses, candy canes and a few cookies— really? I am a true kid at heart and was looking forward to this but at the end, left very disappointed.

  • Mundane and unexciting. Over priced

by Richard on 11/22/21Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater - WantaghRating: 1 out of 5

I’ve seen much better Christmas light events that are far cheaper. For example, the new haven Connecticut light show.

  • Magic lights

by Gaga on 11/22/21Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater - WantaghRating: 5 out of 5

I took my grandkids there 7 & 9, they loved it, that’s what really matters. They both went on the ice skating rink which was pretty cool, neither of them ever ice skated, that was priced great. I just think taking a picture with Santa for 25.00 was really steep.

  • It was okay

by Dee on 11/22/21PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 3 out of 5

If you live in the area then it's worth the light show. The tunnel of lights was very nice.

  • Great

  • Don’t come

    by X on 12/19/20Rating: 1 out of 5

I’ve waited 4 hours. I couldn’t get out of the line because there’s no where else to go. Don’t come here this is a waste of your time and money. It’s completely unorganized and some people even try to cut you in line.

  • Don’t get trapped for 4 hours- Magic of Lights Drive Through

    by Meaghan S on 12/12/20Rating: 1 out of 5

The Magic of Lights Drive Through in Holmdel was the worst holiday idea I’ve ever had. We were trapped. It was way too crowded last night, a Friday at 6:00pm. We pulled off the exit ramp for the light show and were immediately funneled into a long line. We had no idea how long it was. We spent the evening driving in circles around parking lots with three little kids and no light show in sight. We were ready to bail after an hour, but there was no way to exit the endless line.. Four hours later, kids fighting and crying, everyone needing food, drink, and bathrooms... We finally found a way out of the car line and back to the highway. We didn’t even get to see the light show. Everyone is exhausted today. I don’t usually give reviews, but this is something people should know beforehand.

  • Don't go! Horrible wait and cheap lights

by Cristina on 12/7/20Rating: 1 out of 5

We went on Sunday at 530pm. The park opens at 5pm. We waited 2 hours to get to the ticket booth. Mind you... We purchased online. Then you still sit in stand still traffic seeing the very cheap looking lights. Half of the light we could make out what they were. They also put a dragon next to the manger.... Once you get into the lights show there is no way out!!! We finally finished at 845pm. It was torture. They should set up a hourly admission like six flags. Not worth the wait or worthing looking at the lights. Lights look like they are from the 1990s. My neighbors do a better light show.

  • Just okay. Traffic took away from the experience.

    by L. S. on 11/28/20Rating: 3 out of 5

It took 45 minutes just to get in. At the Jones Beach location, there were signs stating that the left lane was for Covid testing only and the right lane was for Magic of Lights. As a result, everyone was merging to the right and there was heavy traffic. However, when we finally reached the lights, it seemed that all lanes were able to drive through to the light show and there was a sign that Covid testing was closed. Very confusing and may have caused unnecessary delays. The lights themselves are not super impressive but still fun to look at and get into the holiday spirit, especially with kids. That being said, it is much more enjoyable when you don’t have to wait in traffic to get in. Even driving through the light show was slower than usual. For reference, we went on a Saturday around 5 p.m. I think the event could benefit from having timed entry tickets.

  • Our second year

    by L. L. on 12/29/19PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 5 out of 5

This is my second year purchasing tickets to see the light show. I take my children along with their young families. I watch the excitement in my grandchildren’s eyes as they ask about the characters and sceneries. It has fast become a tradition we look forward to for years to come. This year we parked the cars by the skating rink. We had hot chocolate, bought kits for roasting marshmallows on an open fire and make s’mores. We walked around and took pictures with beautiful backgrounds. My favorite was my grandkids in front of a gingerbread house.
