About

Magic City Hippies have carved out a distinct place in the indie landscape, blending Miamis sun-soaked swagger with infectious funk, psych-pop, and danceable grooves. What began as the Robby Hunter Band evolved in 2015 with the release of Magic CityHippies, the album that gave the trio its name and solidified a sound both laid-back and relentlessly kinetic.Since then, the band has built a reputation for genre-fluid songwriting and high-energy performances, earning spots at major festivals including Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, and Lollapalooza.Though their recordings have drawn both critical and fan acclaim, Magic City Hippies are best known for their live shows: sweaty, exuberant, and effortlessly engaging. Their ability to convert casual listeners into loyal fans is no accident, its the result of years ofrelentless touring, musical chemistry, and an unapologetic commitment to making every show feel like a celebration.

  • A really fun show!

    by T. R. on 2/21/22The Belasco - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

The MCH always rock the house playing live and this show was no exception. Started kinda groovy and melodic but got super funky once they played BRNT! Everyone was getting down and dancing, not a show for the faint hearted. I’ve seen them before and I’ll check them out next time they’re on tour. You won’t regret going to see the Magic City Hippies.

  • Magic City Hippies at the Hall

by J Longinette on 2/4/22Delmar Hall - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Magic City Hippies graced St.Louis with a banger of a performance. Delmar Hall is the perfect intimate concert experience to see a talent and performance from a band of their caliber. I will definitely go see them again and definitely look forward to another show at Delmar Hall.

  • Reggae/funk/rock dance party!

    by M. Love on 8/27/21Baltimore Soundstage - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

The opening band was sensational and a great pairing for the main event. I hadn’t been to a live concert in forever, so I thought I loved the music just because of that, but I now don’t think so. I’d never heard of Magic City Hippies or one more of their music, so my head exploded when they started to perform. Musicality, schtick, gusto and even talent across the stage. Tosses to influencers from other genres and the perfect blend of reggae/funk/rock.

  • Phenomenal —never miss the opportunity to see this group

by miqdelmar on 2/8/20The Record Bar - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve seen Magic City Hippies a handful of times now and each has been an experience of a great time. This time around was the best performance I’ve ever seen the group give. MCH transitioned into each track so smoothly the night went by so fast. Talented artists, I would recommend to always see this group when they stop in town. They crowd always dances the night away and always a beautiful time.

  • Love the show!

by Big Green on 1/26/20House of Blues Cleveland presented by Cricket Wireless - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

Magic city hippies is one of the best bands that people haven’t heard. A little mix of everything: pop, hip hop, Latin, indie and pop rock. They cover all bases tastefully.
