About

Madonna launched her debut tour in 1985 — The Virgin Tour — in the United States and Canada. Shortly thereafter, she toured the world for the first time, embarking in 1987 in support of Who's That Girl. Over the ensuing four decades, Madonna would ignite the world with the most controversial and dynamic pop shows ever mounted, selling out nearly every tour — in its entirety — in seconds. To date, Madonna has performed about 700 shows across 11 concert tours, generating over $1 billion in ticket sales, and is the highest-grossing female touring artist of all time.

    Madonna at Yankee Stadium

by jennbugtussle on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Even though she took the stage 2 hours and 24 minutes late in the rain, the show was unbelievable. I would do it again in a heart beat!

    Madonna Concert

by Glizet on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

This concert was amazing. The tickets were a gift for my husband. He loves Madonna, he is truly her # 1 fan. I am also a fan of hers. Inspite of the rain we both had the time of our lives. Madonna was incredibly amazing. All he wants now is an autographed photo of her and it will make him the happiest man alive.

Unispired performance in a rainy show

by Davkays on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

The show was scheduled to start at 8pm, it finally started at 10:30. Maddonas performance was uninspired, choppy and short, considering the price of my tickets at 175.00 each sec 230. The best thing was the overhang so we didnt get wet. Then at 12:15 show over not a single encore, For me this show was rained out!!!!She could have acknowledged the crowds wiating and being rained on. She was very disconnected from audience it seemed to scripted.

    The Modern Pop Legend

    by NPR1000 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Even with a dig at Lady Gaga built into the show, I think Madonna has stepped up her artistic game in telling a deep, dark story this time around. I can't help but think Gaga has helped to inspire. That does not take anything away from the history, power, creativity and talent of the original modern day pop star - Madonna. She has shaped everything for Gaga, Katy Perry, and a slew of others. While it's always nice to hear some surprising classics, those were far and few between in this production. She focused more on storytelling and her newest (and last 2-3 albums). Luckily, any Madonna fan has kept up and evolved with her...and would not be disappointed by this show. Even in the pouring rain.

    First time watching Madonna Live

by FirstMadonnaConcert on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

It was a great performance. She and her team provided a great show. I know she is a DIVA, but starting at 10:25pm and only performing for two hours. If she has made the show for 2:30 hours, I will have rated Amazing. I still recommended to anyone who haven't seen Madonna Live.

by einee on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Good show...a little strange but entertaining. Madonna looks fantastic. High energy. Would have liked to hear more of her older hits but still a good show. Like it or not Madonna is an icon and her fans love her.

    No One Else Compares

by LizzieMadonnaFan on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Madonna is simply the best performer in the world. Her tickets are pricey but she more than makes up for it - the theatrics, the dancing, the interludes! It was all so special, especially ion a rainy cold night! She gave us an impromptu performance of "Holiday" (and we of course went BANANAS!). Yes, the concert is dark (especially, if you compare it to her previous effort, Sticky & Sweet, but it was still a lot of fun!) If you haven't been to a Madonna concert, you simply haven't lived.

I was very excited to attend the MDNA concert at Yankee Stadium (that was, before I actually experienced it.) Not only did Madonna start her concert 2 hours and 20 minutes late (which is a complete disrespect to her fans), but when she did, it turns out she no longer has the voice to sing her own songs. Any of her newer techno/clubby songs sounds fine, but if it was a song that she actually had to showcase with her own voice, those were not so pleasant, although nothing compared to the horror of what she did to her own song "Like a Virgin." I have never seen an artist deliberately butcher their own (very popular and well known) song until that night. The song became unrecognizable and unpleasant (and it dragged on forever!). Most people in my section were booing her and many even left at this point. We left shortly thereafter. I will never again spend my money on Madonna. Maybe that way she will learn that people pay to hear her sing, with the added bonus of seeing a great show, not the other way around. I am only entering 1 star because it doesn't recognize this review with 0 stars (which is what I would really like to give it).

Madonna at Yankee Stadium 09/08 show

by Anonymous on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

show time was 10:27pm for 8pm show. Clearly she didn't want to perform in the rain but didn't really show any concern for the fans. One of her dancers held an umbrella over her while she played guitar. That was very sweet of him and shows how elite she is. After a long wait she played alot of stuff off her new album. She needed to go the extra mile based on the long wait, which she didn't. Don't waste your money on her....unless you feel the need to check it off your bucket list.

The Concert did not start until 2.5 hours later. The gang bang song with her shooting people on stage was not appropriate considering we already deal with so much violence in this world. She only sang 2 of the chorus for some of the songs, and then moved on to the next song right away. Lastly she didn't even preform an encore for everyone that stood out in the rain all day long.

Avicii opened up for Madonna. He was okay. Never saw his face. Did not get the crowd pumped up. He started at 8:30 and ended at 9:45pm. You would think that Madonna would come out on stage within 15 - 20 minutes. No...she came out 45 mins later. It was pouring...no consideration for the fans. Madonna has a lot of energy, but I did not pay all that money to see her and a lot of guys perform crazy choreography. The fans wanted to hear her sing. She sang "Like Virgin" song very slow tempo...it was terrible. The fans did not like it. She would sing one fast tempo song, getting the fans pumped, and then she would sing a slow song or show a video. She took us on a roller coaster ride.

For +250 concert not worth 1:15 minutes concert

    by V1974 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

I really disappointing, I've been in her concerts before, but this one she came out very late, didn't sing all songs, but every other song was a video. Her performance was bad, not sure if it's her age. This is the last Madonna concert I will go, not worth the money.

    Madonna.

by JTealnyc on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

I expected less from a 54 year old pop star. But what I didn't expect was to feel so much positive energy and to experience some of the best concert experience moments of my life! That Like A Prayer song was the highlight. Also the Bosque singers that she incorporated into the live show were the highlight. Think of ray of light (the album) in 2012, it's Mature Madonna and its what her album should of sounded like, but I'm sure she went for a more commercial sound to please her label and her bank accounts.

    Madonna, late and couldn't hear

by GeorgeAJ on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

From the nose bleed seats I couldn't hear the words properly, what she was saying and either could anyone around me. She started two and a half hours late and it was raining. I could blame the weather but she did the same two nights earlier when it was clear and nice.
