About

Madonna launched her debut tour in 1985 — The Virgin Tour — in the United States and Canada. Shortly thereafter, she toured the world for the first time, embarking in 1987 in support of Who's That Girl. Over the ensuing four decades, Madonna would ignite the world with the most controversial and dynamic pop shows ever mounted, selling out nearly every tour — in its entirety — in seconds. To date, Madonna has performed about 700 shows across 11 concert tours, generating over $1 billion in ticket sales, and is the highest-grossing female touring artist of all time.

Madonna @ Yankee Stadium, Sat 9/8

by sjbnyc on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Ok, so it's MADONNA! Yes, she's an amazing performer. Yes, she once again had a spectacular stage show. Yes, she still is a feminist icon. And yes, I could have lived without the two hour delay.

Amazing show. Good response from ticketmaster rep as to the effect of the show being cancelled or not due to weather conditions.

    Solid show few missteps though

by sanji on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

You will enjoy the show So long as you go in knowing that the concert I promoting her new album and it's not a best of or retrospect on her career and hits! As a 80's child sure I would have loved to see her perform more of her classic songs but I was wowed by the sound, the backup dancers, the imagery/set design... Two missteps to me included her revision of Like a Virgin-uh uh u can't touch that-that's a classic And my husband and I also felt She should have ended with Like a Prayer The crowd was hype and everybody was up on their feet-EPIC FAIL!! Other than that the show was solid Best moment:surprise addition to set:HOLIDAY!!!

    Madonna Sux

by Concertmannyc on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Paid almost $400 to see Madonna at Yankee Stadium she didn't come on until 10:30pm and played for 1 1/2 hours with no encore. As a frequent concert goer it was very disappointing. I would never go to see her again and would not recommend anyone wasting their money on this wash up.

    Timeless Entertainer

by Marenella on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Madonna puts on an amazing show - everytime. On her own, she would have a hard time filling up the time and keeping us entertained. Fortunately for us, she's smart enough to surround herself with talented, attractive musicians and dancers to amp up her game. I agree with the critics who winced at the violent segment featuring a gun wielding Madge - it pushed the boundaries of tasteful shock value. That said - I loved Vogue + Like a Virgin re-write. Overall a fun show, despite a cavernous Yankee Stadium.

    She's done better

    by Teri18 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Madonna is Madonna you love her or don't. The concert was good, saw at Yankee Stadium in NYC. DJ Avicii played from 8:00-9:00 she did not come on until 10:20 and no encore... She has had better tours.....

    madonna was a let down!!

    by melissanic11 on 9/10/12TD Garden - Boston

I have been waiting to see madonna since I was 9 years old. I was super excited the night of the concert. The concert was suppose to start at 8pm according to the ticket. At 83opm I asked if the concert is going to start late. The response I got was not excpected. I was told she doesnt go on till 10:15 and there will be a dj from 845 to 10. I was not happy at all with this. I payed a substantial amount of money to see her in concert and I watched a dj for a little over an hour and she played for an hour and a half. I actually had to leave the concert early to catch my train wich was scheduled to leave at midnight, but becuase she decided to go on late ( at 1030pm) I missed the end of the concert. super dissapointed with the outcome of this show. I have payed less many for bands comprable to her and watched them play for 3 hours straight. wish I could get a refund. I have a better time in my car listening to her cd than listening to her in concert.

    Disappointed

    by Snoops6 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

I have been going to Madonna since the blonde ambition tour. I am very disappointed. I went Thursday night and Saturday night at Yankee Stadium. Madonna has never let me down and i feel she has gotten away from her old song. she played her whole album which is fine but play your old hits too. i am a long time fan and was very disappointed. I spent a lot of money. Saturday night it was pouring and she did end up throwing "Holiday" in there. she didn't sing Everybody, Get into the groove, 4 minutes, Ray of light,Borderline, burning up, Crazy for u,Dress you up, material girl, Whos that girl, Beautiful stranger, die another day, hollywood. i am sure i might be missing more but there is most of it. She went on at 10:00 thursday night and played only 2 hours. i think her fans deserve a little more. Same thing Satuday night but came on even later because it was pouring all night at yankee stadium she cam on at 10:20 and played 2 hours. she did have a dj guy open up for her he went on sometime around 8:30 -8:45. i've taken reviews from other people and they seem to think the same thing. Well you be the Judge but i am one very disappointed fan. She also added her political views which she normally does but i just say :Shut up and dance and sing.

    Better than ever

    by M3Hgt on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

While the "Confessionss from the Dancefloor tour" was magnificent. The MDNA tour ranks right along side it as her best. Her voice, dancemoves, witt & body are better than ever. This is a must see! A memory that I will cherish for ever.

    Eh, it was so so.

    by JLH512 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Madonna put on a good show. She sure can move in her 50s, but she needed to perform more old stuff. After all that is why most people went. To relive their childhood.

    Modern Madonna not for me

    by Iwasafan69 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Not crazy for her new stuff. Not very musical. More noise and poorly executed rap-like monotone singing? Neat visuals, and dancers were incredible, but I came to see a concert, not a ballet.

    Life Changing

by ChChChCheckIt on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

It was life changing. Beyond anything that I ever expected. Even in a torrential downpour, it was still one of the best concerts that I've ever been. All hail the queen of pop.

horrible show, would give it 0 stars if i could

by Xfanofmadonna on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

This was a thoroughly disappointing show, from the late start to the encore I am still waiting for. ticket said 8:00 start time, but she took the stage after 10:30, really?!?!!I would have preferred a few more older tunes to complimenthert "artsy" show, but no luck.the reworking of the few old songs was another disappointment. The only thing I will not complain about is the weather, which was not good, but not her fault. I agree with Elton John.her career is over.I feel bad for people who have tickets for her upcoming shows, and paid a lot of money for them.she should be ashamed of herself.

    Madona - Amazing

by NYCmale on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

As always, Madonna continues as one of the best concert performers ever. With a mix of old and new songs she takes the stage for a 2 hour non-stop display that is beyond words. If you have never seen her in concert - buy tickets and go!
