About

Madonna launched her debut tour in 1985 — The Virgin Tour — in the United States and Canada. Shortly thereafter, she toured the world for the first time, embarking in 1987 in support of Who's That Girl. Over the ensuing four decades, Madonna would ignite the world with the most controversial and dynamic pop shows ever mounted, selling out nearly every tour — in its entirety — in seconds. To date, Madonna has performed about 700 shows across 11 concert tours, generating over $1 billion in ticket sales, and is the highest-grossing female touring artist of all time.

Avicii opened up for Madonna. He was okay. Never saw his face. Did not get the crowd pumped up. He started at 8:30 and ended at 9:45pm. You would think that Madonna would come out on stage within 15 - 20 minutes. No...she came out 45 mins later. It was pouring...no consideration for the fans. Madonna has a lot of energy, but I did not pay all that money to see her and a lot of guys perform crazy choreography. The fans wanted to hear her sing. She sang "Like Virgin" song very slow tempo...it was terrible. The fans did not like it. She would sing one fast tempo song, getting the fans pumped, and then she would sing a slow song or show a video. She took us on a roller coaster ride.

For +250 concert not worth 1:15 minutes concert

    by V1974 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

I really disappointing, I've been in her concerts before, but this one she came out very late, didn't sing all songs, but every other song was a video. Her performance was bad, not sure if it's her age. This is the last Madonna concert I will go, not worth the money.

    Madonna.

by JTealnyc on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

I expected less from a 54 year old pop star. But what I didn't expect was to feel so much positive energy and to experience some of the best concert experience moments of my life! That Like A Prayer song was the highlight. Also the Bosque singers that she incorporated into the live show were the highlight. Think of ray of light (the album) in 2012, it's Mature Madonna and its what her album should of sounded like, but I'm sure she went for a more commercial sound to please her label and her bank accounts.

    On Cloud Nine

by ClintinaBobina on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

It was my first time seeing Madonna live and all I can say is what an experience! Totally worth every penny. She is definitely the Queen of Pop, hands down, no contest.

The show was fantastic, but the sound system at Yankee Stadium needs an up date! Many people left the arena due to the poor sound.

    Madonna, late and couldn't hear

by GeorgeAJ on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

From the nose bleed seats I couldn't hear the words properly, what she was saying and either could anyone around me. She started two and a half hours late and it was raining. I could blame the weather but she did the same two nights earlier when it was clear and nice.

    Thank you Madonna!!

    by Raccoon333 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Despite the pouring rain, Madonna put on a fantastic show for New York on Saturday, September 8 to a packed stadium. As usual, her show was filled with great songs (old and new) and limitless eye candy. Many newer artists try to pull this off but end up with only a fraction of what Madonna is able to deliver. Thank you again, Madonna, for killing it in the rain (and bringing New York some cooler fall weather with you). My only gripe (and it's a little one) is that since it was an open air arena, the sound was not as lush and clear as an enclosed one would have provided.

    I want a refund!

by Jacknaidoo on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

No original songs, too many remixes. Content was bad, boring for fans. The crowd was quiet with anticipation to hear a popular song, and were dissapointed! We left early....most people did!

Not very good, played too much new music. She didn't care to play her old stuff and absolutely does not deviate from the playlist or the script that's prepared for her. I sat for the whole midddle of the show. You can leave after Like a Prayer, nothing else good after that.

Madonna is still the best performer!

by serig on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Despite the rain, the concert and experience was perfect. Madonna is still the best, despite the negativity from haters and reviewers; all they can say was she lip-sync. Have they even watch the show? Madonna sang almost all live, only some segments when she had to dance. It's unfair to expect her to sing and do those routines at the same time.

Madonna crossed off the bucket list

by EfromBk on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Was disappointed that such a tiny woman would wear almost exclusively black on a black set. When she wasn't disappearing for several minutes at a time for her many costume changes, it was difficult to keep track of where she was on the set cause she blended into the background. She puts on a show but it was obvious that the crowd responded best to her older, danceable tunes. An extraordinarily slow reworking of "Like a Virgin" presented the lyrics in a new light but went on so long (it was really, really slow) that it lost it's impact. No need to see Madonna again.

    Worst show ever

    by TracyM22 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

The viedo screens where way to small, espically for Yankee Stadium, they are bigger at Jones beach, which is a small arena. Madonna didn't come out till 10:15 there was a DJ playing before her.....so I basically paid to hear a DJ. Her new music is bad.....she was very trashy in using words....when she was speaking on stage, and her old songs she sang, she never finishied the song till the end. Overall I was VERY VERY VERY disapoined. This was the first time seeing Madonna, and it will def be the last !!!!!!!

by Peruvianstyle on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

performance and effects great, but she was more than two hours late for a less than two hours show. she didnt play many of the oldies, most song were the newers

Madonna's voice was great and I think the dancing and sets were great but I couldn't really see them. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of great seats for a concert at Yankee stadium and despite paying $350 for a pair of tickets, I was looking at the too small TV screens the whole time. I also thought there was too much of a skew towards new songs. I understand that she wants to promote her new album but it took a lot of the energy out of the stadium. I would say about half of the songs were songs from new albums and she didn't even sing Material Girl.

    Rainy, forgetable and super late

by Neeps on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Despite a continuous forecast for rain, the opening act started 45 minutes late, and then there was almost an hour after that ended before Madonna came on. Venue staff did not know what was going on.

    Sucked

    by JWow5 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

What a disappointment. Definitely no longer a legend in my eyes. She has doesn't seem to like singing her old songs. Her new songs are terrible and even her die hard fans don't know the lyrics. She would build the crowd up with one song and her next one will be a depressing violent song about shooting people. She'll later talk about world peace. I think she's going through an identity crisis.
