About

Madonna launched her debut tour in 1985 — The Virgin Tour — in the United States and Canada. Shortly thereafter, she toured the world for the first time, embarking in 1987 in support of Who's That Girl. Over the ensuing four decades, Madonna would ignite the world with the most controversial and dynamic pop shows ever mounted, selling out nearly every tour — in its entirety — in seconds. To date, Madonna has performed about 700 shows across 11 concert tours, generating over $1 billion in ticket sales, and is the highest-grossing female touring artist of all time.

    Excellent!!

by manomariano on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

What can I say from the concert. It was more that I expected. The sound was incredible and the stage something that I have never seen in my life. Madonna was great and she sang perfectly, even though It was raining. I want to see her again!!

Madonna is a great performer. she still has so much energy after all these years! The show was a little dark for my taste but she still rocks!

    Unimpressed by Madge

    by Mixtape16 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

The show was supposed to start at 8- she didn't come out until 1030. Left her fans sitting in the pouring rain for two and a half hours. There were a few numbers where her dancers danced and she sang over the speakers in the backround- but was nowhere on stage. And- she had a DJ open for her. She can have anyone in the world open for her, and there was a DJ. It was one of the lamest concerts I've been to- unfortunately.

    Not your typical Madonna.

    by BigFanin718 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

After having been spoiled by Madonna's past concerts, I have to say that MDNA was mediocre at best. Not your typical danceathon. Very low key and even boring at times. Sad choice of songs and even when singing great ones, put a spin on them that made me just want to sit. Too bad. She is always great to see...but this one was not worth it.

    TERRIBLE

    by FrankieD1 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

I am an avid concert goer, and an avid Madonna fan, but please...this concert was a Marketing endeavor for her "tired" new album and it did not work...!! The songs and even some of her peformances were just sad to say...awful...!!!! She made a mistake, cause a majority of her true fans were there, and felt the same. We were not even rooting for an encore when she closed out her set. We just went home.....! Thanks.

    M Killed IT

by Grastafari on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

I was sort of not looking forward to Madonna's concert because i heard it started so late and she really does a lot of new material which i had not been grooving on. but once at the show - rain and all - she really maintains her fierceness. Gang Bang pulled me in - she was Ann-Margret meets Natural Born Killers meets Madonna 2012. Video intersticials were genius and she was able to tap into her huge discography. The rain made it more dramatic, because she had to really keep it together. Plus she sang Holiday in the middle of her show because we were in the rain, so she tossed us mere mortals a bone.

    quite underwhelming

by Abbhd on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

I guess her best days are really gone... Production was not bad at all, but all in all it was boring. The set list did not help, neither did the depressive version of like a virgin. Three cool songs do not make a concert. And Avicii...!?!? Come on!!!!

    MDNA Yankee Stadium

by Muerchkin on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

In spite of rain and a near 2 1/2 hour delay was a great show. Wish Ms. Ciccone would do encores though.

    MADONNA

by KPOWERS on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

MADONNA did not come on stage until after 10:30pm. It was pouring rain and cold. We did not sit in our original seats. We had to move back farther from the stage to gain cover under the grandstand from the downpour (as did many other fans). Although the concert was good, MADONNA really should have considered her fans and rescheduled this event due to the severe weather.

    OVER RATED

    by summer21 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

I was very dissapointed :( To begin with she did not come out until 10:30. She did not perform any of her old songs or for that matter any songs. It was more of a broadway musical instead of a concert. That's the first time I ever saw her and porbably the last. For the price of the tickets I do not feel was worth it and I have always been a fan. Oh well.

    Madonna is Madoonna

by Anutakey on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Great show, but overpriced tickets. We had tickets for $350+tax and I barely saw her figure on the stage... So if you a huge fan of her you should get better seats in case you wanna see her better

    Complete mess!!

    by Team1234 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

It was discombobulated. No theme or thread to tie it together. The beginning was so dark and disturbing. Like a virgin was excruciatingly painful to watch. There were a couple if fun dance moments but they were short. You would dance one song and then she would take a song people love and turn it depressing and dull. The whole show seemed like a manic depressive desperate mess. And I usually love Madonna and have gone to many shows. I was really disappointed. Plus she rips on lady gaga , pronounces herself queen and then proceeds to tell us we should forgive each other, love, abolish hatred, practice forgiveness and yet she throws a 3 year old fit because lady gagas song sounds like hers. So hypocritical. The whole show was created to feed her ego and prove that she's still young. A desperate attempt to stay young. Bizarre.

Madonna @ Yankee Stadium, Sat 9/8

by sjbnyc on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Ok, so it's MADONNA! Yes, she's an amazing performer. Yes, she once again had a spectacular stage show. Yes, she still is a feminist icon. And yes, I could have lived without the two hour delay.

MADONNA.... FAR TOO DELAYED TO PREFORM!!

by MPJELLYBEAN on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

HOWEVER FOR 2 1/2 HOURS WITH NO OPENING ACT, I, AS WELL AS MANY OF MY FRIENDS THERE AND OTHER ATTENDEES WHERE GETTING READY TO LEAVE!!! VERY DISAPOINTED IN MADONNAS DISRESPECT OF HER PAYING FANS TIME!! I HAD A BABYSITTER FOR MY 4 YEAR OLD TWINS THAT I HAD TO PAY FOR EXTRA TIME!! SHE IS AN AMAZING PERFORMER AND DOES A GREAT SHOW... Solid show few missteps though

by sanji on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

You will enjoy the show So long as you go in knowing that the concert I promoting her new album and it's not a best of or retrospect on her career and hits! As a 80's child sure I would have loved to see her perform more of her classic songs but I was wowed by the sound, the backup dancers, the imagery/set design... Two missteps to me included her revision of Like a Virgin-uh uh u can't touch that-that's a classic And my husband and I also felt She should have ended with Like a Prayer The crowd was hype and everybody was up on their feet-EPIC FAIL!! Other than that the show was solid Best moment:surprise addition to set:HOLIDAY!!!

    Madonna Sux

by Concertmannyc on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Paid almost $400 to see Madonna at Yankee Stadium she didn't come on until 10:30pm and played for 1 1/2 hours with no encore. As a frequent concert goer it was very disappointing. I would never go to see her again and would not recommend anyone wasting their money on this wash up.

    Timeless Entertainer

by Marenella on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Madonna puts on an amazing show - everytime. On her own, she would have a hard time filling up the time and keeping us entertained. Fortunately for us, she's smart enough to surround herself with talented, attractive musicians and dancers to amp up her game. I agree with the critics who winced at the violent segment featuring a gun wielding Madge - it pushed the boundaries of tasteful shock value. That said - I loved Vogue + Like a Virgin re-write. Overall a fun show, despite a cavernous Yankee Stadium.
