About

Madonna launched her debut tour in 1985 — The Virgin Tour — in the United States and Canada. Shortly thereafter, she toured the world for the first time, embarking in 1987 in support of Who's That Girl. Over the ensuing four decades, Madonna would ignite the world with the most controversial and dynamic pop shows ever mounted, selling out nearly every tour — in its entirety — in seconds. To date, Madonna has performed about 700 shows across 11 concert tours, generating over $1 billion in ticket sales, and is the highest-grossing female touring artist of all time.

    Great Show

by Djoza on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

The show started 2 and a half hours late. While the rain was probably the cause, there was no apology, which is rude. The first verse of Holiday was sung, which was a great surprise that made up for it somewhat. Otherwise, she did great with the performances. I only saw a dancer slip once on the wet stage.

    great!!!!

    by Liz8121 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

The show was totally amazing!!!! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because she didn't start the show until 10:30!!!!! It poured all night, got soaked, but still thought the show was great!!!!

    Rainy but unforgettable!

    by Boots138 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

As expected Madonna's MDNA show was phenominal and unforgettable! It rained the entire time and since we had AWESOME seats there was no coverage or overhang. Poncho's and Beer's made the wait seem like nothing, then all was forgotten about the weather once she took the stage. She is an ICON and will absolutely see her again! LOVE LOVE LOVE MDNA!

    Worst Madonna show EVER!

    by Saxon212 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

The show should have been cancelled. She came out almost 3 hours late while we were soaked with rain. Had to leave half way through or risk hypothermia. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME, HEALTH AND MONEY! Thanks for NOTHING Madge!

    disappointed

by Anonymous on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Madonna didn't play many of her older more poular songs. Only 4 - 5 recognizble music numbers. I didn't like most of her newer music. Some of the acts were very violent as well!

Still Can Put On A Show

by BoboTheDog on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

The Material Girl is getting up there in age, but she still can put on a show. Her last two albums were not my favorite so at least she digs into her huge repertoire of songs. The dancing is always great at her shows but there were some weird moments, like that whole gun shooting thing. Also, I wasn't crazy about a slow rendition of Like A Virgin. However, I find that when she digs into her classics like Vogue and Like A Prayer is when the crowd comes alive. I wish there was an encore though.

Madonna really disappointed....she should have played for the crowd that put her where she is now...not the younger generation and new music....so disappointed

    Not worth the money!

by ReyNman on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Let me first say that I love Madonnas music ever since Borderline, Burning Up all the way through Hard Candy album. Never seen her live and I promised myself I would. Now I wish I hadn't waited so long to see her. The show was a big let down. The Shoot my Lover part was just stupid. And the slow remake of like a virgin was a huge yawn. There were a couple of good upbeat dance numbers but did not make up for what was a boring contrived show. And of course waiting in the rain did little to help. Congrats to NY metro authority for getting all those people out of there quickly!

    Not worth the wait

by Nohaj on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

The tickets called for 8:00 she didn't go on until 10:30. I did not pay all that money to listen to some dj. Second she hardly did any of her old stuff. I would never see her again

    Crazy show

    by gar41369 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Thw weather was absolutely horrific. What a horrible night for a concert. However we stuck iti out and waited. And waited. And waited. Out in the rain at our seat for 2 1/2 hours! Madonna came on at 10:30pm! The show was ok.... I mean she did a lot of new stuff which was un appealing. Familiar stuff was great.... When she finished it! She did half of holiday! And just stopped in the middle. She had to throw politics into the mix which is a huge turn off. For one night I wish to get away and enjoy some entertainment. And there is it. Downer. I love Madonna! I was happy to ave tickets and finally get to see her.... I can check this one off my bucket list.....

    Broke Disappointed Madonna Fan

by Brokeagain on 9/10/12TD Garden - Boston

Madonna was over 2 hrs late for her show! Complete disrespect, inconsiderate, unprofessional and honestly rude with no explanation or apology. We will NEVER waste that money again on her! Way too much for these tickets! $200.00 each for a few songs along with the crap about guns ect...

    2 Hour Delay

by DanaChris on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

The show was delayed by a solid 2 hours. That was a shocker to me. The entire show had a morbid touch to it. That I was not expecting. A lot of sexual undertones, religious bashing (Christian bashing, of course), and very few 'happy-poppy' songs, which were what I essentially came there for. Madonna has really changed her style for this tour and I'm not pleased the least to say. I was expecting some weird stuff but not to this extent. Almost the entire show was devoted to blood and gore and of course, lots of sex. If you're looking to hear her older hits, forget it. This is not the tour for it.

    Madonna was disappointing

by pattypaulz on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

I love her....the show started at 10:30 when it was suppose to start at 8:00pm. If you have a concert and say it starts at a certain time then start it. Even with an opening band and in this case was a DJ she could have started at 9:00 at the latest. She did not sign a lot of her old songs which was a major disappointment. THe ones she did sing were just pieces of them. She totally destroyed Like a Virgin. All in All it was an experience and I am glad I went

    Forget about it!

by Jakeson on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

What was that Gun Shooting sequence about?!? "I'm going to shoot you in the head? For real? Very offensive and highly inappropriate in this day and age when we are trying to handle Gun violence/control issue. She does a perfromance like that with all of her politcal points of view? I don't get it. This will be the last Madonna concert I will be going to. Kept waiting 2.5 hours for that? I don't know who's advising her but like most celebrities they're probably afraid to tell her the truth. Concert was for 90 minutes and confusing. Not worth the hype.

well thank g-d for the over the hang the seats we were under, there also was a huge pole blocking my veiw . Lets just say Madonna is not the Material Girl she used to be it seems to me she added a lot of fluff to her show. Not sure how the rain affected the stage or the show but she should have called it off till Sunday instead. I have seen her many many times and this was my least favorite.

    Good show, but 10:30 start?!

by Bensoncwong on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Show was good, lots of new stuff. Unique sets. Could have been great, but show did not start until 10:30 and did not end until 12:15. soaking wet and cold. never waited so long before. could have started earlier and send people home in a reasonable time.
