About

Madonna launched her debut tour in 1985 — The Virgin Tour — in the United States and Canada. Shortly thereafter, she toured the world for the first time, embarking in 1987 in support of Who's That Girl. Over the ensuing four decades, Madonna would ignite the world with the most controversial and dynamic pop shows ever mounted, selling out nearly every tour — in its entirety — in seconds. To date, Madonna has performed about 700 shows across 11 concert tours, generating over $1 billion in ticket sales, and is the highest-grossing female touring artist of all time.

    Madonna was AMAZING!!!

    by Pooh0915 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

It was an amazing and spectacular night. I felt nostalgic and good watching Madonna at her best. Simply the best POP artist in history. I was part of history n there is only one queen of POP - MADONNA. I would go again but I definitely feel happy to be there n be part of history.

waiting for Godot -- or Madonna

by vonnyboy on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

why put a time on the ticket of 8pm when nothing is going to happen until1030. I sat in an uncomfortable seat in the drizzle for 2 and a half hours waiting for the show. the dj and video show was a waste of my time. The new music was childish and boring. At least Madonna put in a strong effort to please her fans. I would not pay to see her again. Making 50,000 people wait over 2 hours is BS.

    MADONNA IS RUDE!

    by Saxon212 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Made us wait hours in the freezing rain while some dreadful DJ played the same record over and over and over. By the time she came on we were so cold and fed up that we left after the first hour. NO MORE TOURS PLEASE MADGE! Just stay at home and count your money.

    Missing old Madonna

by MichelinaB on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

She is a great performer without a doubt! She just played too many new songs and was sending mixed messages. First she's shooting a man on a bed & cursing; then she's singing about loving everyone with flowers around her neck! I didn't get it! Madonna was disappointing......her rendition of Like A Virgin was awful.

    Madonna underperforms

    by Nothappy1A on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Yankee Stadium is an incredible venue for a concert, I highly recommend it, particularly seats on the field. Madonna's concert, however, left a lot to be desired. Short story is that she lipsynched at least half the songs, 3 songs were just videos plus her dancers (no Madonna in sight), additional time was wasted with her discussing her political views and no encore performance. There were four of us and we felt totally ripped off. I would not recommend spending any money to see her in the future. And yes I know she is 54, but if the performance isn't going to be solid because maybe it is too taxing, then either don't do it or charge a rate that does little more than cover costs.

    Madonna was MADONNA THE GREAT

by Dreamteam on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

We traveled all the way from Florida to see her perform in the Greatest venue besides MSG. It raineen thoughd all day with tornado's and heavy rain. We drove from our hotel in rain and knew if there was any way Madonna could perform SHE would. It rained on and off all night and nothing stopped her from doing an all out show. She did not hold anything back and gave the crowd their monies worth. She performed for two straight hours and it was like being at Woodstock, the weather would not stop this superstar. On the ride back to our hotel we were still singing her songs even thought we were still wet from the rain. MADONNA THE QUEEN

so dissapointed! I've been to her last 5 shows and this one was not as exciting. Maybe the venue was too big...Yankee Stadium. Also, very bummed that she came on at 10:15. Too late!! The opening dj was annoying after 10 minutes. The MDNA cd is not condusive to her fabulousness. I never like when she redoes her original songs. On a positive note...the girl can still dance! I still love her music but think my days of going to her shows are over.

    madonna mistreats fans

by drharpo on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Again Madonna did not start her 8PM show until 10:30 leaving 60K fans sitting in the rain!! Apparently she was partying backstage; official excuse was the rain. High energy show as always. The show was worth the price of admission, but I will not tolerate her inconsiderate attitude to her fans.

    madonna makes you wait

by bryebrook on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

I can't believe she made everyone wait over 2 hours for her to come on. Then she performed for less than 2. The choreography was good, but this was the worst concert that I have been too of hers in the last 20 years

    Madonna at Yankee Stadium.

    by Swimmom126 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Madonna was absolutely incredible. The show itself was eye catching and really kept your interest even when she was not on stage. The only problem I had with the whole night was that on the tickets it said that the concert was to start at 8pm and she did not come on stage until 10:30.

Acoustics at Yankee Stadium aren't great!

    by TMR10001 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Madonna sounded awful! Which I blame in part to the acoustics of the stadium. Show was to start at 8pm... she didn't come on until 10:30pm... which is just rude.... especially since it was pouring rain. I have been to ten Madonna shows... and this is the last.

    Madonna was entertaining

by Anonymous on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

The concert was good but a little disappointed not enough big screens in stadium. Was sitting in field level and the stage was too far back. Also, disappointed that she did not do a lot of songs and no encore.

    Too Long to wait

    by JAG1234 on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Madonna did not start her show until 10:30 on Saturday night. Ridiculous! If you are going to start that late you should at least let your fans know. To top it off, it was raining in New York, so some fans waited 2.5 hours in the rain for her to start. There was no opening act, just a DJ that was not very good. This will be the last night i spend money on Madonna tickets. Very sad. I have been a fan since I was a kid.

    MADONNA MDNA TOUR-WORTH EVERY PENNY!

by OperaGaga on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Madonna and her team of musicians and dancers gave 1000% despite the pouring rain at Yankee stadium. The digital work and montages during and between numbers is beyond stunning, she sang and danced like the super star she is, no holding back--she looked FIERCE and performed her ass off. Her dancers are all breathtakingly beautiful and talented. I had the best time and am so happy I didn't miss this. I would see it again and again. She and the show is worth your time and money. The energy on stage and rapport between Madonna and her ensemble is beyond inspiring and infectious. Don't miss this living legend! She's still got it and then some. And I hope she and her dancers went straight home to carbo load after the show, Jesus Christ!

    Madonna's Shock and Awe

by Tode on 9/10/12Yankee Stadium - Bronx

Overall, the MDNA New York tour stop was a fun night with Madonna at Yankees Stadium. I could have done without some of the violent imagery and gunplay, but when Madonna dusted off her older songs, the crowd went wild (myself included). "Express Yourself," "Open Your Heart," "Vogue" and "Like a Prayer" were real floor-stompers and the audience went nuts. Nothing is better than seeing Madonna connect with an audience, especially to one of her "four-on-the-floor" dance anthems. She is the Queen of Pop and there are not many performers who deliver such a feast for the eyes and ears. She closed the show with "Celebration," which was clear to see around as her New York-based fans celebrated her triumphant return. 3 cheers!
