Great show! Everyone sang and acted wonderfully! Every bit as good as other Les Miss performances I have seen!!
We enjoyed the talented singers. For many of the male singers, the sound quality made it near impossible to make out their words.our teenage daughter said she could not make out most of the words.
This was the very best production of Les Miserables I have ever seen! I cannot recommend it enough. I truly wish I could see it every day it was in town. I loved even more the production let Fantine’s understudy play the role on opening night since she was performing in her home town. Just fantastic!
The performance was outstanding. Regrettably, however, there was terrible static or feedback in the speaker (that hangs down from the Balcony) directly overhead in our section (Orchestra 1, Row S). Therefore, anytime the performers sang at a particular volume, the sound crackled and became distorted. It was very distracting and took away from our ability to fully enjoy the performance. I did alert the audio crew of the issue at intermission. Otherwise, it had the potential to be a five-star experience. Hoping it’s fixed before the next show we see in those same seats in May.
The show and cast was absolutely amazing! The kids in particular were extremely talented. Do NOT miss!!!
We loved Les Misérables! Such a talented cast and great venue. An extraordinary evening of musical theater. We enjoyed every minute! Thank you!
The actors all had terrific vocals!!! But the children so warmed my heart 💚And the stage props were very impressive!!! It was my life dream to see Les Mis !!!Thank you!!!
I don't know how the tour management picked the leads because ALL of the cast was SO GOOD. Although the actor for Jean Valjean definitely earned and deserved the spotlight. He absolutely slayed the audience with his rendition of "Bring Him Home". SLAYED. But the talent of everyone on stage was just mind blowing. I've seen Les Miz many many times, and this had to have been the best one. Props to the orchestra and stage crew for also being completely flawless and helping to create the magic for the show. Just amazing.
Performance was first class. DeVos Hall seats were cramped, signage was poor but acoustics were great. Seating arrangement on the mezzanine was distant…Wharton Center in East Lansing seating is much closer and more comfortable for the vast majority of seats.
I have seen Les Miserables countless times, including a show in NYC and another in London. And this company in Grand Rapids was as good or better than any I've seen! I really enjoyed the warmth of a small theater and the ease of parking.
