About

Cameron Mackintosh presents the acclaimed production of Boublil and Schönberg's Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, Les Misérables. This brilliant staging has taken the world by storm and has been hailed as "a reborn dream of a production" (Daily Telegraph).

Set against the backdrop of 19th century France, Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption-a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score of Les Misérables includes the songs "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Bring Him Home," "One Day More" and many more.

  • Moving Experience

by Marilyn on 12/27/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

This is hands-down, our favourite musical. The performances were so powerful and the score is nothing but moving. We thoroughly enjoyed Les Miserables. All of the performers were fantastic and had very beautiful, powerful voices. Getting in and out of the venue was seamless as well. Traffic was well directed and shuttles were running to help things along.

  • We love Les Miz!

Nick Cartell was great. We saw him before. Fantine was amazing. Some music was played too quickly though. We are used to a slower version. We always love watching Les Miz.

  • Breathtaking

by Brett W on 12/25/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I have always loved the music from Les Miserables, but watching the magic in-person is something I will never forget. I have nothing but praise for everyone involved in it. My only disappointment is that I am a teacher and could only afford nosebleed tickets. Even so, my mother, wife, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

Les Mis has long been my favorite musical (thanks to the 2012 movie & cast) and only the second I have had the privilege of seeing on this stage. It was the perfect anniversary date for my husband and me. The cast was remarkable! The precision and length at which they carried their solos took my breath away! It was so much better than I could have ever imagined. The intermission bathroom experience was the most efficient system I have ever witnessed. I couldn’t believe how fast they got the women in and out. Well done! The seats were good. I wish I would have thought to bring binoculars. I could tell we were the rookies when those around us started pulling theirs out. Of course, the lady in front of me made it nearly impossible to see anything. Her head covered the entire stage, so I had to lean to the left and right of her to see. I’m sure I drove the people behind me mad. What I could have really done without was the raunchy addition of red & black song was quite appalling. I knew to expect some, but that scene was crude and unwelcome for my taste. I’m not sure if that was part of the original script, but it was definitely unexpected. (We chose not to bring our children with us, because of the nature of a few of the songs, so I’m glad they weren’t with us.) The wedding chorale song had one line changed from “this one’s a queer, but what can you do” to “this one’s a queer, maybe I’ll join him, too.” Our overall experience was positive. I thoroughly enjoyed the majority of it and would watch it on repeat. I am grateful for the opportunity.

  • Phenomenal touring performance!

by Martin Landty on 12/24/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The lady who reviewed the 12/23/23 -Dallas show clearly didn’t stay for the entire show. She probably left at intermission! This is the complete show- 2 hours and 57 minutes long (which includes a 20-min. intermission. Act One was 1 hour and 30 minutes and Act Two was 1 hour and 7 minutes long. None of the songs or parts were missing (or sped up). The set design, lighting and effects are perfect. The actor’s performances - every member - were spot on! Preston Truman Boyd is incredible as Javert, Haley Dortch had the strongest, most powerful voice as Fantine I have ever heard. Jake David Smith as Marius was so compelling! Devin Archer as Enjolras was convincing and also a powerful voice. I have seen Les Mis at London’s West End (2022) and at Fair Park in 2018. This performance was right up there as to the singing, acting, set, and music. Bravo!

  • Great play, good time

by Brooke on 12/24/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

The play was well done. I've seen it a few times and this was as good a cast as I've ever seen. The venue was beautiful, but for a first time attendee at this venue it was very hard to find the theater and traffic was excruciatingly awful.

  • Great Performance, bad venue

by BP Dallas on 12/24/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

The performance put on by the touring production of Les Miserables is wonderful. Seeing it with modern staging and utilizing current technology is different, but still great. It works very well. Unfortunately, the venue at Fair Park Music Hall in Dallas is terrible. If you’re a person who has seen performances in the Dallas Arts District, you’ll find Fair Park borderline intolerable. It’s acoustically deficient, too big (if you’re in the balcony, bring opera glasses if you actually want to see what’s going on), and the restroom situation if dreadful, particularly for the ladies, who have to wait through a ridiculous queue most of the time. I love the fact that a show like Les Mis puts Dallas on its tour, but get a better venue in the future, please.

  • Just a mess

by Just mis on 12/24/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 2 out of 5

Soccer match at same time -parking nightmare, over 30 min to exit venue - poor seating and accommodations, not ability to even get water, show overly long 3.5 hrs, voices and performances lacking - don’t bother C- won’t go to Music Hall at fair Park again

  • Revised for American audience.. Too fast not authentic

by Nora on 12/23/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 1 out of 5

I have read the book, watched the movie and seen this musical in London/ West End a few years ago. So I would say I am a big fan and I was super excited to for this… However… The original musical is almost 3hours long. This one was only 1and half hour long and the songs were super fast, some parts were missing…I assueme it is adapted for American Audience but it should have been written on the description. Overall it was a disappointment for me.

  • Bucket List Dream Come True

by DrGrr on 12/22/23The Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center - El PasoRating: 5 out of 5

All I'd hoped for after wanting to see it for many years. Incredible performance by all. Only wish they hadn't felt the need to tart up the scenes with the Innkeepers, glad I did not take my grandson for that reason. I'd reconsider the visually sexual imagery, not necessary and not funny. Other than that, it was three hours of being transported through every human emotion one could feel. I wept several times, in that my pastor and mentor who passed away on Father's Day this year first introduced me to Les Mis. Thank you all for a fantastic show.

  • Well done show!

by Pablo P on 12/21/23The Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center - El PasoRating: 4 out of 5

This was a very well done, company, show. A few of the voices were just a tiny bit weak, that' why I did not rate it a 5 star. But, it was well worth the money!!!! The audience was another thing, common people, is it that hard to dress up just a little? One guy was in his running shorts and shoes with a T shirt he got for free from running a fun run. Geeze. Shorts and T shirt!
