About

Cameron Mackintosh presents the acclaimed production of Boublil and Schönberg's Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, Les Misérables. This brilliant staging has taken the world by storm and has been hailed as "a reborn dream of a production" (Daily Telegraph).

Set against the backdrop of 19th century France, Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption-a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score of Les Misérables includes the songs "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Bring Him Home," "One Day More" and many more.

  • So worth the time and money!

by Shannon on 1/2/24Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

This was a phenomenal show! I have read the book, know all the songs by heart, but this was my first time ever seeing it professionally performed. I cried through half of it and had goosebumps through the other half! There was more than one standing ovation, and after one particular song, the applause went on and on. My husband and I left the theater in awe. If you're debating, do it! You will not be disappointed!

  • Did not disappoint

by Fair Park experience on 1/2/24Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Having seen this Broadway show many times in various venues I was not disappointed. The performance was magnificent with great acoustics. Stage presentation was better than many others I’ve seen. Both my daughter and I had an excellent day.

  • Disappointed

by Abbey on 1/1/24Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

I saw Les Miserables years back in Fort Worth. It was excellent and Broadway Dallas did not compare. Don’t get me wrong. This production’s staging was OK., the costumes looked fine, the singing was fine, the lighting was fine, but I wanted more than just fine. I wanted very good. I saw college production of Les Mis last year and it far surpassed this one. Sorry no good Review for you to post from me.

  • Great play terrible traffic

by davehurt on 1/1/24Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

The play was amazing. The music was amazing. Getting in and out of the venue was not amazing. I foolishly booked tickets the same night as a benefit soccer friendly next to our venue. Traffic was horrible and poorly controlled.

  • Les Miz

by Sarah on 1/1/24Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I really like the checkin process using the iPhone. We had great seats in the balcony. We could see well. The only downer was the women’s washroom only had one working sink! The show was excellent though!

  • Great show

by Sklo on 12/31/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

What a powerful performance. So much talent. Our seats were a little to far back to keep track of who each performer was but the sound was superb.

  • Mixed Feelings

by Jala on 12/31/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

I’ve seen the show many times. This was not my favorite. The singing and voices were amazing! But feedback: I understand the director’s wanting to set a mood for the content, but it was too dark to fully enjoy. We could hardly see well what was happening on stage most of the time. Also, the first act seemed rushed. And there are such poignant scenes there, it was a loss. Intermission came too late. Finally, and this is no fault of the show, but the Fair Park Dallas Theater had a problem with the house lights over the balcony in the second act. They kept dimming and coming on over our heads, and dimming and coming on. Nearly ruined the experience.

  • Awesome

by Dee on 12/31/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Being from out of state I found reserving tickets, selecting seats, all the help with updates and instructions on how to mobile tickets, parking, security, etc. amazing for a first time user. It made the experience stress free. The people inside and outside were friendly and helpful… all went well. Performance absolutely AWESOME!!! Looking forward to attending more.

  • Venue was terrible

by Ryan on 12/31/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

The show can only be as good as the venue allows it to be. The Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas was old and outdated. The first impression was having to wait in line for 20 minutes to use the restroom which caused a lot of people to miss the beginning of the show. For the size of venue, there were not nearly enough restrooms. The auditorium was very large, but many seats in the balcony had such a poor view because of distance or obstruction. The seats themselves were really uncomfortable because they were so old and worn out, you could feel the springs in them. The audio was too quiet, the snacking and coughing of the audience overwhelmed the room. The house lights were dimmed the entire time and flickered, which was very distracting. I have been to a few different broadway show venues in the DFW area and this one is by far the worst. Unfortunately the poor experience made me feel like it wasn’t worth the money. The performance itself was well done and the set looked great. My only complaint is with the venue.

  • Worth every cent!!

by Alonso-fam on 12/31/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I was so thankful to fund tickets I could actually afford! My kids are ALL about theater and love this story! The entire production blew our minds! A 3 hour show felt like 30 minutes!!

  • Musical was great, the theater was terrible!

by Kim on 12/31/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 2 out of 5

The musical was fabulous as usual. Beautiful! The theater…not so much! We were in Sec BB and the lighting was horrendous!! Directly above our heads and pointed straight down on us, a light kept flashing on and off almost like the bulb was going out!!! It started about 20 min into the show and NEVER STOPPED!!! So distracting and literally ruined the experience. When the entire theater was dark and quiet our whole section was lit up and everyone is asking whats going on??!! So Disappointing!!!!!

  • Perfect.

by Mary on 12/30/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Perfection...the music, the orchestra and violin and harp solos, the scene changes, the cast...and the star of the show! Such feeling in an age of numbness...... Thank you 1000X for this.

Gorgeous voices Strangely rushed first act Too dark of a set— I understand it was going for mood, but not being able to see a lot of it was a problem. Second act lighting problem above the balcony—very distracting dimming and brightening light above guests. Awful!

  • Excellent Production, Venue Less So

by OutriderTX on 12/30/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

Les Miserables has become a generational favorite musical theater experience and by-and-large this tour fulfills that promise - no gaudy variations for change’s sake. Our performance’s cast was standout, with Javert and Enjolras particularly engaging. The Music Hall at Fair Park’s handling of the show’s popularity was less positive: the insufficiency of restroom facilities - especially for women - is an issue of longstanding and with a full house meant much belated seating and flashlights to the face, impacting Act Two significantly. Moreover the tolerance for food and drink brought in from outside meant much munching, crunching and spilling all around us. This is an audience flaw to be sure - but as patrons we are I believe right to expect the venue to manage it, which did not happen.

  • Average Les Mis Production

by dw on 12/30/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

Some very strong singing performances, others were fairly poor for a travelling production of this caliber. If you've been around music, you would pick up on the details, and it made it difficult to understand the lyrics. Transitions were abrupt, and unless you were familiar, the time shifts and lack of annunciation would leave you in the dust. Expected more, but was pleased with the night and opportunity for my daughters to see it in person.

  • Best finale!

by Cat on 12/29/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

This was the 8th time I have seen Les Miz. Every performance has been great with emphasis on a particular character. The emphasis on this performance was the finale. I LOVED the dark stage and all the characters who died during the show entering center stage to make the point one must always go on to see tomorrow.

  • Lived up to it’s reputation

by Deepti on 12/28/23Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

This was a Christmas treat for the family and wow what an experience. The singing was just incredible and all of us had a lump in our throat the whole time. Empty chairs at empty tables was just WOW!! We hope they will come to Dallas again

  • Obstructed View at Music Hall at Fair Park

by Disappointed in Dallas on 12/27/23Rating: 2 out of 5

Took my family to see Les Mis last night, the kids were very excited, we had seats right behind the orchestra section. We quickly found our views were obstructed due the placement of wheelchair-bound individuals on the last row of the orchestra section. The wheelchair floor ramps sat level, so the individual in the wheelchair easily sat 1.5’ above others in the same row, blocking views for those sitting behind. Wish I would have known, it had the same effect as obstructed view seats, there were areas of the stage each of us were unable to see. For the cost of the tickets, I would expect to see the entire stage.
