About

Cameron Mackintosh presents the acclaimed production of Boublil and Schönberg's Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, Les Misérables. This brilliant staging has taken the world by storm and has been hailed as "a reborn dream of a production" (Daily Telegraph).

Set against the backdrop of 19th century France, Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption-a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score of Les Misérables includes the songs "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Bring Him Home," "One Day More" and many more.

  • Disappointed

by Sonya on 10/20/24West Herr Auditorium Theatre at West Herr Performing Arts Center - RochesterRating: 1 out of 5

maybe it was the seats we had; in the balcony, but we couldn’t understand what they were saying and were too far to read lips. This was the first time we ever left a show early and it was even before intermission.

  • Great performance. Bad seats.

Would never buy tickets for seating near an entrance again. Constant traffic and light from open door took much away from performances. The casting was superb. Mya Rena Hunter who played Eponine was a standout. Her voice was not only excellent but every word was clear. Of course, Nick Cartell was outstanding as well.

  • Great show!

This is the fourth time we've seen Les Mis and this was the best one. Great performers, scenery and musicians. I think the sound quality was better than past shows we've seen here.

  • An amazing performance, an accessible venue.

The performance was overwhelming. Terrific cast with wonderful voices. The visuals were extraordinary and sometimes distracting. The staff at the Auditorium Theater was terrific. From the people who greeted us at the entrance, to the ones who showed us to our seats, to the ladies who manned the restrooms (especially them!), everyone was professional and kind. They kept the atmosphere festive and doable. Thank you, and kudos for such a great job.

  • Amazing!

First time seeing a production of this kind and it did not disappoint. Incredibly talented cast and really impressive sets and lighting. I was completely blown away. I had never seen the show so I pretty much went in blind. The story was so compelling and emotional. I can’t wait to see another show soon.

  • Les Mis

Music was fantastic. The seats were too far back to see much detail of the performers or the staging.

  • Worth the wait!

Where to begin? This was a truly amazing performance. I had wanted to see Les Miserables for years. Being able to see the performance close to home was great. Added bonus of being able to watch the show with my son who is a music comp student Ball State University made the night even more special.

I have been to several Les Mis presentations over the years. This one did not disappoint. The singing was top notch. The scenery was great considering it is a touring performance.

  • Unforgettable

by Heck yeah on 9/23/24Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

I fell in love with Les Miz as a middle school kid in New York. I brought my middle school son who loves history and appreciates humor, but with whom I never discussed the trials of Fantine et al. There was a lot of shock and awe (oh gavroche!), but he understood the plot. He cheered unexpectedly loudly for Jean Valjean throughout. When asked, he proclaimed Master of the House was his favorite but those cheers were not notable. A great cultural experience!!

  • Best Broadway Touring Production Ever!

by Paulette on 9/19/24Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

This was the sixth time that I've attended a Broadway Touring production of Les Misérables and it blew me out of the water. The scenery, the set, the actors were all superb! I really enjoy the play and went to see the production that came to the Kennedy Center when I lived in DC. This was my first event at the Chrysler Hall in Norfolk, VA, and I was a little apprehensive that it would not measure up. The set becomes more dramatic with each rendition of the show, and this one was the best ever! The lighting and special effects were over the top, and the acoustics were great in the Chrysler Hall. Every actor was spot on and had magnificent voices. I am so glad that the Broadway Touring production makes these great shows available to those of us who do not live near New York City.

  • Spectacular

by TBird Guy on 9/18/24Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

It was spectacular. The sets were amazing and of course the singing was the tops. My review of ticketmaster not o good. On or about Aug 26th I bought the ticket and then proceeded to download app to view my ticket. It was there. On the morning the day of the performance I opened the app to view my ticket and nothing was there. I cannot begin to tell how much I cursed ticketmaster. I printed the email with confirmation number and drove 1 hour and 15 min to the venue. Got there early and went to box office. Luckily with the number they pulled up the ticket and printed it off. Why do you guys only want the ticket on the phone? That sucks! I want to print the dam ticket.

  • Outstanding Performance

by Betstro on 9/18/24Chrysler Hall - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

This is the third time I have seen this show, and it was amazing! The actors were outstanding - nothing left to be desired in their performance. It was superb. Voices were projected, tone and quality exquisite. I was constantly amazed at the scenery and how the stage hands moved it. The costumes also were high quality. Of course the orchestra was beyond compare. There are not enough superlatives to describe this performance!
