This is the second time I've seen this show. It is still as good. Music, cast and performance was superb. I'm so glad my girl friends joined me and my husband this time. They enjoyed it very much and we all had a great time.

Just the best thing I have ever seen! Between the amazing story, the incredible music and cast and a beautiful orchestral arrangement- I will remember it for years to come.

  • Les Miserables Best Production I've seen

by Cuylergirl on 10/23/17Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen 6 stage productions of Les Miserables over the past 20+ years and I have to say that this production was the best by far. From the scene set ups to the use of screen projections for visual effects was stunning. At first I was disappointed when the scene for "Empty Chairs and Empty Tables" was sparse, littered with just jars of candles. But the effect at the end of the song left a big emotional impact. Won't tell you how the scene ends. You'll have to see it. Wish I could see it again!

Well done. Captions helped immensely. Powder room lines handled well.

  • Beautiful production!

by Ukik on 10/22/17Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Les Miserables was one of the best plays I've seen yet. Everything from the stage set, music, costumes, and the cast were exceptional. I would love to see this again. My seat was in the balcony and I had a very good view. However, next time, I will spend the extra money to get closer seats. I miss seeing the details on the faces and the costumes by sitting in the balcony. The play is three hours long but didn't feel that long. The battle scene was top notch and very real. The children's voices acknowledges that they will go far in the world of stage. Definitely a must to see if you haven't!

  • typical old venue; Les Miz with this cast:A++ play

by arwestesq on 10/21/17Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

love going to the theater. very picky. casts outside NYC often disappoint me. i.e. Aladdin. this cast could open on broadway tomorrow. most probably have broadway cred. excellent play. wanted to go again, but not at the resale prices.

  • Great show, not great seats

by Anonymous on 10/21/17Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

Singing was beyond amazing but do not purchase the limited view seats. We couldn't see about 30% of what was happening stage right or if the actors were set back at all. Really disappointed with how poorly the seats were situated with extra stage set that we could not see around. I loved the show and again the singing was on point from everyone but would not get those seats again, not even discounted.

  • Loved Les Mis!

Amazing cast. Gorgeous venue. (My friend and I explored the theatre during intermission & wondered if there was a bad seat...!) Voices, harmony, and acting were all on point. Orchestra was fabulous. I'd go again! So powerful and touching!

Music was fantastic, acoustics great, loved the running word board on the side. sets amazing but only noticed one thing that could have been better -- lighting was way too dark and took away some of the scenes...

  • great night at les mis

    by boomerboy2 on 10/21/17Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

my daughter and I attended the October 19th evening performance at the Cadillac theatre and were very happy about the show. the story line as usual was excellent and we were very impressed with the stage scene setups. remarkably good stage props and scenes during the show. the acoustics were very good as well. all of the performers sang very well and acted in tune with their characters. would highly recommend to anyone. the one drawback from the theatre standpoint was the lack of adequate bathrooms, especially for the women. we were seated on the mid level of the theatre which was great for viewing but bathroom access was very limited.

  • Fabulous voices

  • Magnificent Performances

by Poshi on 10/21/17Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I are very familiar with Les Miserables and we've seen it performed live before. This event in Chicago, was absolutely masterful. The actors/singers were articulate, accomplished, genuine and superbly talented. We cannot imagine anyone anywhere topping this presentation, We were very emotional by the end and overwhelmed with all the brilliant portrayals. The set was superior to anything we've seen before, as well. The orchestra incredible. Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!

  • Really Different

by TheRealJbean on 10/20/17Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

I have seen Les Miserables several times at different venues. It was different seeing it at a smaller venue. I really liked it as it had a more intimate feel. Some of the performers were good and some not so much. However, I did really enjoy it. I would return to this venue.

  • Outstanding performance!

by JeMaHa on 10/20/17Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Usually when I see a live show, there is at least one voice that doesn’t quite fit the character as it should be in my mind. I loved every single cast member and every single one fit the character they played perfectly and very convincingly. The way they chose to portray different scenes was different than what I’ve seen before, but in a very good, refreshing way. I’m always an emotional wreck when seeing/listening to this show, and this was, of course, no exception. My one and only complaint would be that I wish the volume of the show were a bit higher. I’m not sure if it was simply the acoustics of the auditorium, or if the speakers weren’t turned up as high as they could’ve been, but it could’ve been louder and easier to hear, in my opinion. Other than that, absolutely outstanding cast and ensemble, wish I lived closer so I could see it again!
