About

Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed production of Boublil and Schönberg's Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, LES MISÉRABLES makes a triumphant return to Chicago. This brilliant staging has taken the world by storm and has been hailed as "a reborn dream of a production" (Daily Telegraph).

The magnificent score of LES MISÉRABLES includes the songs "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Bring Him Home," "One Day More" and many more.

  • Les Miserables never disappoints!

by Ouliram on 10/28/17Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Marvelous performance of my absolute favorite musical! All performers were excellent. The story of redemption and grace is unparalleled. May God continue to use Hugo’s timeless story to share that truth.

This was the most amazing production of a musical I have ever seen! Tears were streaming in the first 15 minutes. Voices were phenomenal!

I have seen this play three times, and this was the best ever! Each voice is beautiful and stirring! The set and costumes were great! Wonderful performance.

  • One Day More of Le Miz is not enough.

Still, best musical ever written. (If first time seeing, review story line. It can be hard to follow if unfamiliar.)

  • Not worth the money to see

by WillisWeaver on 10/28/17Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 2 out of 5

It is a sad story. The voices were good & staging was good. But overall this is not a musical worth seeing. If you want to see a downer musical Les Mis is it.

  • Great theater

    by WendyB65 on 10/28/17Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

Comfortable seats - surprising amount of legroom! Don't love having food and drink consumed during performance - floor is a horrible mess by the end of the performance.

  • Very Memorable!

I was a little nervous that my 13 year old granddaughter would enjoy this musical as she has not been exposed to much theater. She was enthralled every minute of the performance - - - as were the rest of us! We will be hearing the music and remember the scenes for a long time to come.

  • Les Miserables

    by Jean22 on 10/25/17Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great but don't get orchestra seating on the right close to the stage. I do not have a problem with the persons with disabilities, but the people doing the sign language were right in front of us. A very big distraction when you pay so much to see a show. Your attention keeps going to them instead of the action on the stage. The venue could maybe find a better place so that the people that need them would still be able to enjoy the show.

  • Great performances, but too fast and audio too low

    by 4truth on 10/25/17Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

Perhaps the assumption is that everyone in the world has seen LesMis at this point, so the details aren't important? I had never seen it, and had trouble throughout the first act following what was happening other than the obvious (they're on a prison boat, they're in a factory, etc.). The cast seemed to rush through their lines - and combined with a low-ish audio mix, made for real difficulty hearing what anyone (other than JVJ) was saying clearly. I asked my wife for a recap at intermission and got caught up on the action. That being said, the performances were for the most part excellent - and the sets were incredible. I would recommend to a friend but hopefully someone from the production will plant a spy who's never seen it sit in the audience soon, to provide objective feedback on the pacing and audio.

  • Les Mis broadway in Chicago was perfect!

    by Catherine11 on 10/24/17Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

We loved the play, it was beautiful. The music is stunning, story is so deep and actors did great jobs. we had seats Dress Circle LL 2&4 and it was the first row, not in the center of audience but still great view. It is not too far from the stage but we weren't able to clearly distinguish face expressions of actors. I would recommend this play to everybody.

  • Les Miserables was fantastic

by nanannshu on 10/24/17Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I thought the set design, lighting, the orchestra and the cast were amazing. You could hear every word and I had a great view of the stage with no obstructions.

  • Great show, uncomfortable seat

by Ellymo on 10/24/17Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

The show was amazing; superb voices all around. This is my 4 time seeing Les Miz and I thought the voice talent was the best of the bunch. I wasn't a fan of the staging, but it was fine. I was in the first row of the loge, almost dead center. Great seat, right? Not so much. I am not a large person, although the person to my left was. No leg room and the rail was in my sight line if I didn't sit way up on the seat. As much as I enjoyed the performance, I couldn't wait to get out of that seat. Other loge seats I have occupied in different theaters were comfortable and worth the money.

This musical was absolutely amazing! I laughed. I cried. I felt so invested. The actors and actresses and stage did a phenomenal job!!!
