Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed production of Boublil and Schönberg's Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, LES MISÉRABLES makes a triumphant return to Chicago. This brilliant staging has taken the world by storm and has been hailed as "a reborn dream of a production" (Daily Telegraph).
Set against the backdrop of 19th century France, LES MISÉRABLES tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption - a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score of LES MISÉRABLES includes the songs "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Bring Him Home," "One Day More" and many more.

I've seen Les Miz four times previously in Chicago over several years . I have always felt this to be my favorite Broadway production. I felt there were some places that were cut out and it seems like the production was rushed. I enjoyed the show but did not feel that's good about it as I have in the past.
I love theater! This just isn’t my favorite. I think my biggest suggestion would be better effort at diction so that the audience who isn’t familiar with the story line can better follow the story.
Cadillac Theatre is gorgeous! Great seating and this production of Les Mis was exceptional!!! Interesting lighting and amazing sets! The cast was amazing! We saw this show on Broadway as well, and felt this Chicago production was MUCH better!!!
My cousin and I went to see Les Mis and everything was so smooth. We got into the theater fast, found our seats easily, and had a really good group of people around us. The show was incredible. It was kind of a last minute decision and it was one of the best ones I could have made.
I attended event with friends who have seen the musical before and were excited to see it again. I have read the book, but never seen the musical performed. We were all very happy with the performance and found the music very powerful. We sat in Row U and had good views of stage.
It is an excellent musical, with a storyline that is enthralling. The cast was outstanding and the set, lighting, music, sound, costumes, etc. was near perfection.
Seeing Les Misérables at the Cadillac Palace Theater in Chicago was a wonderful experience. Parking was convenient (a big deal in Chicago), nearby restaurants were available, the front awning kept us out of the brief pre-show rain shower, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the crowd was polite and enthusiastic. The show was fantastic - lighting, sound, sets (especially), performers, orchestra, even seating were all top notch. Go see the show! Go experience the theater!
Outstanding performance!!! It was my nieces first time seeing this and she couldn't take her eyes off the stage!
Beautiful theater, great staging and set. Performances and voices were spectacular
Excellent experience. The performance was spectacular. We were a little skeptical about our seats as the tickets were an anniversary gift. To our surprise we could not have asked for better seats. The performers and orchestra were remarkable. Our compliments to the entire crew, casts, and musicians.
The performance was stellar! The casting superb and the sets magnificent! I was not disappointed with my all time favorite musical 👏🏻🎼🇳🇱Can’t wait until it returns again.
Everything was exceptional!!! From the set to the actors, one of the best performances of Les Mis I had ever seen. Our seats were incredible as well!!!!
Saw it in Tampa and it was my first time and it was amazing!!! And it was just as amazing this time around with better seats!!! Brought me to tears!
I'm not a live theater regular, but I enjoyed this performance more than I expected. I had seen the movie and didn't expect them to do on-stage what was done in the movie - but they did.
All I can say is "WOW"! One of the best, or maybe the best musical I have ever seen. The musical score and the actors were phenomenal. The hair on arms stood on end the whole time.
It is difficult to fully enjoy a show (even Les Miserables) when you are cold and getting colder with each scene. Yes, it is summer in Chicago; but, that does not mean we have to "freeze" inside a theater. For the amount of money that one pays for these tickets, it is unreasonable and unacceptable for the theater to have so little regard for the comfort of its patrons. It was not just me. Everyone in my large party was cold, and I could see the people around me trying to achieve some warmth.
The performance and all of the performers were outstanding. Marvelous voices, flawless and quick scene changes superb acting. Our only negative was that we could not understand a word of what was being sung. Better mics would have helped and made it a 5 star performance.
Singing is breathtaking! Acting stunning! My only saddest was the poor lighting. I felt like I never got a clear look at the faces of the actors, even from my 10th row seay.
Les Mis is a great experience anywhere, and this performance didn't disappoint -- even with 7 substitutes announced for that Saturday matinee. However, it was vastly disappointing that the accommodations I requested 8 weeks before the performance (and repeatedly each week) were never addressed until 2 days before the performance, when they said they couldn't accommodate me. This information should be timely, with the option for a refunded ticket, if accommodations cannot be made.
