As an eight-time Grammy Award nominee, Ledisi has captured attention around the world, thanks to her expressive jazz-influenced voice and well-produced albums that boldly tackle personal subject matter. When on tour, Ledisi often collaborates with a large backup band, which creates a full, multi-layered sound that's a treat for the ears of every ticket holder in attendance. Her sixth studio album, Pieces of Me, was released in 2011, and her next effort, The Truth, is set to hit the shelves in early 2014. The album's first single, "I Blame You," is already available to stream via the Internet for free, and a series of concert dates seems likely to follow the album's release.
Involved in music her whole life, Ledisi has appeared on soundtracks and commercials and performed at the White House at the request of President Obama and the First Lady. The year 2007 marked the release of Ledisi's third studio album, Lost and Found, and it was noted for earning her two Grammy nominations, including a nod for Best New Artist. In 2011, she toured around North America in support of Pieces of Me and played to sold-out crowds in more than 20 cities. The years 2012 and 2013 also saw Ledisi being recognized by her peers by receiving additional Grammy nominations. In addition to nurturing her music career, Ledisi has written a biographical book in partnership with ESSENCE magazine and appeared in two films. Through those efforts, she's proven that she has what it takes to excel, whether by showcasing her skills in music or by courageously experimenting with other creative outlets.
Ledsi is energetic and engaging. Her fun dance moves makes you feel the music and you can't help but to move too! Everything about the music, the beats, lyrics, rhythms keeps you totally connected. She is inspirational and real!

Ledisi is headlining her first tour, and after seeing her, I could only say: ITS ABOUT TIME! She was fantastic! She danced (in incredibly high heels!) all over the stage, interacted with the crowd, and sang amazingly. She seems so humble, and was so excited to be running her own show. She's got quite the testimony, and is more than happy to share it. She stresses that you have to love yourself before anyone else can love you. She looks phenomenal (she performed in some outrageous shorts, and she WORKED THEM!) and wore her trademark smile the entire night. I loved her personality, as she seemed like a girlfriend you could hang out with and have a lot of fun with. This was my first time seeing her, but hopefully, it will not be my last. She did a variety of her songs, but most were off of her newest CD, Pieces of Me.
She rocked the house and came back back out with an encore!!!
I really enjoyed myself. I am an advivd concert goer and was not disppointed at the least. She is an excellent artist and performer. I would of loved to see her in a larger venue. Nonetheless I left fullfilled and satisfied. I will definitely be seeing her in concert again.
Wish there was time for all her songs! She looked fabulous and of course her voice was heavenly! Bravo n thx for sharing ur music!
I wasn't a fan before but after seeing her I am truly amazed. Great energy and musicianship! She is a must see in concert!
Awesome show... I was very pleased with the entertainment. Spiced Vegas to another level of music. Loved it.
Venue was very nice and intimate. All of the performers were nice. One negative was getting a drink early on was problematic with only three bartenders and so many people. A couple of bikini girls with tubs of beers for sale would have eased the burden on the bar. i.e. The Beach Nightclub for you Vegas folks.
THE SETTING WAS AWESOME, THE CONCERT WAS GREAT....WISH LEDISI PERFORMED A LITTLE LONGER THOUGH.

Venue was way to small to be a pool side concert. The overall concert seemed very rushed. There wasn't enough seating options. Had to sit at the edge of the pool on the side with my feet in the water. The free pool side jazz concerts in the city have better venues than this concert. I will not be attending a concert at this venue ever again.
The artists were great! The show did not start on time which cut into the time that Ledisi had to perform. Overall, it was awesome and I plan to see Ledisi and Melanie Fiona in concert again.
The Ledisi concert at Bourbon Street could have been more enjoyable if you could have been able to sit down--Had to stand up for 2 1/2 to 3 hours--NOT GOOD for the legs and feet. LEDISI was fantastic, however, I will never go to Bourbon Street again to see any more concerts.
Ledisi's vocal skills are amazing! Her performance style is unique and entertaining! And she had more energy than the entire crowd! I would go to see her again. It's not enough to go and see her on a screen from a distance. You have to SEE her facial expressions and her body because she uses ALL of that when she performs. And she gives 100% the whole performance. I was expecting her to rest and let up, especially since she was in red 4-inch stilettos, but she didn't. This was my second Ledisi concert and she NEVER disappoints! Ledisi performs an awesome show that’s well worth the money. Anytime she comes to the DMV I will go and see her. I must warn you about the Bourbon Street Ballroom… it was a standing concert. Which, I didn’t know before purchasing the tickets. The tickets had "seat numbers"; so, image my surprise when I walked in to an open room. Luckily, I was able to grab a barstool. Thus, the location took it down to four stars instead of five. But I would do it again to see Ledisi!
Ledisi was excellent, she sounds better in person than on cd. She enter acts with the crowd and has a lot of energy. She is well worth the money and gives you more than your moneys worth.
The price was right, the time was right and the artist was excellent.
All i can say is was worth the wait...Ledisi is talented and so amazing i would go see her anytime..
