As an eight-time Grammy Award nominee, Ledisi has captured attention around the world, thanks to her expressive jazz-influenced voice and well-produced albums that boldly tackle personal subject matter. When on tour, Ledisi often collaborates with a large backup band, which creates a full, multi-layered sound that's a treat for the ears of every ticket holder in attendance. Her sixth studio album, Pieces of Me, was released in 2011, and her next effort, The Truth, is set to hit the shelves in early 2014. The album's first single, "I Blame You," is already available to stream via the Internet for free, and a series of concert dates seems likely to follow the album's release.
Involved in music her whole life, Ledisi has appeared on soundtracks and commercials and performed at the White House at the request of President Obama and the First Lady. The year 2007 marked the release of Ledisi's third studio album, Lost and Found, and it was noted for earning her two Grammy nominations, including a nod for Best New Artist. In 2011, she toured around North America in support of Pieces of Me and played to sold-out crowds in more than 20 cities. The years 2012 and 2013 also saw Ledisi being recognized by her peers by receiving additional Grammy nominations. In addition to nurturing her music career, Ledisi has written a biographical book in partnership with ESSENCE magazine and appeared in two films. Through those efforts, she's proven that she has what it takes to excel, whether by showcasing her skills in music or by courageously experimenting with other creative outlets.
I took my guy to see Ledisi for his birthday because he loves her SO much! We enjoyed ourselves so much! She was awesome.......the venue was ver intimate and made it all the better. Standing room isn't for the stiletto girls, but Ledisi was well worth it!
I have been a listener of Ledisi for over ten years. However, this is the first time I was able to catch her live. It was incredible. Thank you for sharing your truly anointed gift!!!
Aside from the sound techs slacking, this woman and her band had an amazing performance. I was hoping, however, that she covered some of her jazz compilations. Either way. I love this woman's work and worth...I can't wait to see her in concert again! Some people have been sleeping on her...

Thanks for coming to LA Gir!!!!!l...hope to see you very very soon. although i loved the intimate venue I'd love to see Ledisi under the stars...perhaps the Greek theatre...my all time favorite venue.maybe the Hollywood Bowl....Verizon Amp.... and best believe she'll fill the house up baby!! I feel so lucky to have seen her LIVE... first heard her on VH1 SOUL.... then youtube (lol) and now the EL REY! damn! Her high energy stage presence, vocal talents and incredible band make for an outstanding show. Ledisi consistently gives her all and makes you wish for more. I just hope one day she would bend on her policy of not allowing photos or videos. Most artists allow the fans to leave with visual memories that help to relive the moments in days and years to come. It also helps share the experience with others who couldn't make it or were on the fence about coming. She could really garner more fans if she would allow fans to share her with others.
Ledisi puts on a very high energy show, with a voice that touches you deep down to your soul.

Wow Ledisi is soooooo good. it started late but was so worth the waite. I don't know she does something to ur soul when she is up there. And when you leave you know everything is going to be Alright! Hands down it was a unforgettable night special guest including kelly price. Yeah that concert rocked my socks off!

Ledisi is THE TRUTH!!!!!! I have long enjoyed her cd's, but had no idea that she would put on a performance like that! I fell in love with her spirit from the time she hit the stage, and when she got off I was wanting more! I have been on high telling everyone about it and I will definitely be seeing her again when she returns to L.A. She is an amazing woman of God, very sexy, very chic.....LOVED IT!!!!!
The sound and microphones were too low. The background singers could be heard better than LEDISI. Also, could not hear the guitar or piano solos. LEDISI repeatedly asked for the mics to be adjusted, but no-go. The crowd (including myself) was luke-warm. I wonder if it was because of the wait in line outside for an hour, then standing and waiting once inside? I don't think its cool to make people wait in line, outside the venue, for A CONCERT. It was just a weird vibe... LEDISI had nothing to do with it... she really tried to pump-it-up!
I went and saw Ledisi in a small, standing-room only venue about three years back. She was so feisty, energetic, and vocally stunning the whole room was singing, dancing and cheering her on. I am a concert junkie and that was definitely in my top 5 concerts that I have ever seen (and since I've seen Prince and Janet Jackson that is saying something). I saw her perform again last year at the Long Beach Jazz Festival and all I can say is, she's still got it!
