The venue setting and mood was so right, even with it being somewhat tight with the space of people. Lalah Hathaway is in a class all by herself. Grown, mature, meaningful and strong vocalist. Really enjoyed our night out in celebration of my sisters birthday blessings.
I love it when she has audience participation. She puts so much energy and love in her music. The atmosphere is very intimate. Her voice is strong and flawless. I love her just as much as I did her dad. What a great show!

This was my first concert. My girl and I both love Lalah Hathaway. It was gratifying, Lalah owned the stage and the atmosphere. I was very excited that she also sang one of our favorite songs. Lalah Hathaway is an incredible artist. She was very down-to-earth and fan-friendly. Even when the performance ended people were cheering and chanting "Lalah", Lalah and the band that accompanied her came back on stage for one last performance. Truly an amazing experience.
Lalah. Thanks for making your stops in DC so memorable. Your fan base turns out to the Birchmere and everyone is having such a great time. Your music is timeless & your rapport with the audience is perfect. We saw you twice at the Birchmere and once at the Kennedy Center this year. Your version of Both Sides Now takes my breath away.
A lot of new surprising songs sung by Ms. Lalah. She admitted she was tired but still managed to sing very well & I loved the way she engages her audience. A very poised songstress, Ms. Lalah stole our hearts once again with her renditions of singing. I esp enjoyed her scatting numbers were on point!!!!!!
Great Artists, awesome performance ,all the way around outstanding solo performance by all band members, and let's not forget bout the back up singers performance just awesome performance , good venue and not a great b.c of uncomfortable seating

I attended my first Lalah Hathaway concert in 1998 at Blues Alley in Washington, DC. And 25 years later, she's still absolutely amazing!!!! She's like fine wine ... she just gets better with time. Great concert and venue. Thanks Birchmere.
Lalah never disappoints! The entire concert was so worth the wait! I will always see her at the Birchmere. The intimacy of the venue I love! Not one bad seat in the house! The serving staff was fast, courteous and on point.
First time at this venue wasn't sure what to expect. Dinner and LALAH HATHAWAY was amazing but my seats were very uncomfortable to close to other people (KNOW ELBOW ROOM) Seats to small and im a small framed person.
The venue (Motor City Sound Board) is beautifully intimate in setting. There are no bad seats, the sound is always amazing, and Lalah delivered a marvelous performance as expected. Bravo!
Her voice was perfect as usual. However, she was late and her performance was very lackluster. It was like she could care less if we enjoyed it. She sang only like 2 of her actual songs, an r&b cover melody of songs and 1 of her Dads. The band members showcase/shoutout at the end was about 15-20 mins wasay too long. The sipping water joke lasted waaay too long. It (the show) was just unfulfilling as a whole.

My husband and I attended the Lalah Hathaway concert at the Sound Board at Motor City Casino in Detroit. It was a great concert. Jubu Smith warmed up the crowd with his fantastic guitar. Lalah came out immediately after he finished and graced us with her beautiful and soulful voice. She performed non-stop for nearly 90 minutes. It was definitely worth my money and my time.
The show was absolutely amazing! She sang sooo many songs! She even did that "thing" with her voice when she sang with Snarky Puppy!! Can't wait for her to return to Detroit!!!
Lalah Hathaway is such a gifted vocalists, she has a sultry voice that captivates the audience. She represents her father well.
