  • excellent vocals and band

by jjm on 9/3/25The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

lalah is underrated, but a true legend. Was amazing hearing her live. Vocals were outstanding.

  • The First Daughter of Soul did not disappoint!

by Binny on 9/2/25The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Lalah was absolutely phenomenal. All the songs sounded even better than the recordings. I love her audience engagement. Did I mention her comedy! She is one of a kind. The opening acts were wonderful: Matthew Whitaker was a delight surprise. Jubu Smith, with Legally Blind, is just phenomenal. Great concert. Ms. Hathaway still owes me an autograph, though. I have had her first CD for over 30 years, and it's about time she signed it. I stay hopeful.

  • Fantastic, Great Jazz

    by God's Girl on 9/2/25The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Loved Lalah Hathaway's show along with Matthew Whitaker opening for her. Both performers where excellent, great Jazz music, great seats. I would definitely purchase tickets to see them both again.

Awesome show Beautiful venue.. Definitely want to see her again..

  • Stars are for venue not artist

by Da Kidd on 9/1/25The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was AMAZING! Lalah Hathaway was GREAT and I would go see her perform day after day. The venue was really cute, but the seats were oddly tiny (left to right)...which meant you had to get to know your neighbor in a way you hadn't anticipated. So I would recommend getting a seat on the ends of a row if you plan to sit on the floor level.

  • Worth The Wait

    by Jason G. on 9/1/25The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

There were two acts before Lalah, but she was worth the wait. Lalah’s voice is pure gold. The quality. The tone. The choices. The background singers. Absolute musical perfection!

  • The Lalah Show

by Winter on 9/1/25The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

THE SHOW WAS GREAT, STARTING WITH MATHEW WHITAKER. HE WAS AMAZING ON THE KEYBOARDS AND THEN JUBU ON THE GUITAR. HE DID SOME FANTASTIC PLAYING AND EVEN PLAYED SOME FRANKIE BEVERLY SONGS. ( SALUTE ) AND FINALLY, LALAH HERSELF. SHE SANG AND SANG AND SANG. WHAT A WONDERFUL SHOW.

  • Lalah showing up after 10pm screams "diva.""

by Leah on 9/1/25The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 2 out of 5

The opening act was billed as Matthew Whittaker, who played from 8 to 9. He is quite talented and one expects the opening act to run the first hour. Break from 9:00 to 9:30 (ok ,fine), and then almost 45 minutes from singing/guitar duo "Legally Blind". These guys were very talented and I would pay money to see them SOME OTHER TIME. The headliner, Lalah, did not come on stage until about 10:10 p.m. Sorry, not what your fans paid for.

  • Lalah was AMAZING!!!!🤩

by Tee on 9/1/25The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

I’m Lalah’s number one fan, and she did NOT disappoint. Venue was beautiful too, BUT…seats were way too small and too close together. People were literally sitting in each other’s laps! We pay good money for our seats. I don’t want to have to let the stranger next to me take up half of the seat I paid for!

  • Outstanding show!!

by Mikey on 9/1/25The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Wonderful evening with Mathew Whitaker opening followed by Legally Blond and then Lala’s amazing vocals.

  • Incredible!

by QueenBee on 8/25/25Country Club Hills Amphitheater - Country Club HillsRating: 5 out of 5

First of all Lalah!!! Just Lalah!! She was amazing! Her voice is so soothing and smooth and captivating! I loved every minute of it and her band was also fabulous! The venue was amazing and the weather was beautiful for an outdoor concert. The only thing that I would change is, I wish the seats were a little further apart because they’re pretty close and I wish Lalah would’ve done a longer set! The biggest complaint is that no one addressed why the original opening act was not there. They switched to a different opening act without informing the public who paid money to be there. Many people paid to see Loose Ends open, and instead got Kevin Ross. Kevin is cool, but that was quite a disappointment to be honest. To do that without informing the audience at least at the beginning of the show was definitely negligent in my opinion. But I would go see Lalah over and over again. Epic!

  • The Venue was amazing and Lalah was beyond AMAZING!

by Michelle H. on 8/25/25Country Club Hills Amphitheater - Country Club HillsRating: 5 out of 5

The Venue was amazing: Perfect night, perfect seats, staff was so friendly and helpful. Lalah was beyond amazing in all categories: stage presence, interaction with the crowd, choice of songs and most importantly, she can SING. Really enjoyed her songs, her dad's songs and other artists songs which she sang better than them. LOVED the whole experience!

  • Nothing short of Amazing!

by DJ on 6/1/25House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Lalah Hathaway has one of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard. From her contralto all the way to first soprano…in one person!! She and her band were nothing short of amazing!

  • Great show!

by TeeCee on 6/1/25House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Lalah was amazing. Her voice is perfection. Junior is so talented and entertaining too. It was a wonderful evening out.

  • Beautiful voice 🙏

  • Very disappointed...

by Mamata on 5/27/25Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 3 out of 5

The venue was nice. I was a little disappointed that Lala didn't perform any of her old hits and graced the stage for less than an hour - for lawn seats that cost $125 - I was very disappointed.

  • Love it

by BigC on 5/27/25Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 5 out of 5

The seating was great, a lot of leg room. For me at 6’6. The performances was great Kenny lattimore, Lalah Hathaway, Mike Phillips, awesome venue

  • Awesome line up!!

by Lady K on 5/27/25Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 5 out of 5

I enjoyed all of the entertainers from start to finish. I would definitely go to see these artist again. This was my first time at the Mabel amphitheater and the ambience was out of this world. It will not be the last.

  • Great Venue, Good Concert

by Mo Will on 5/27/25Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 4 out of 5

Lala is a great singer & performer. She makes singing seem so easy. The venue was great and the mature crowd made it even better. The opening acts were good, but Mike Philips appeared to do more talking than performing imho. Kenny was dope and did well in the short amount of time he performed. I would see Lala again for sure!!

  • All the artists were great!!!

I'm looking forward to the next time I can return.
