  • Excellent performance

what a great performance by these very talented singers...I'm still trying to figure out what kind of hamstring stretches they do to be able to do those kicks while they are dating..

We had a great time. Total enjoyment and appreciate the the small intimate setting at the Parker Playhouse.

  • Awesome

Ladysmith was totally awesome. This is our third time to see them and they are more and more enjoyable.

  • Talented by underwhelming show

by Delrioway on 2/26/17Parker Playhouse - Ft LauderdaleRating: 2 out of 5

They are absolutely talented acapella singers. However the songs were very repetitious with the singers standing mostly in one spot singing. Maybe it was pared down for the discounted tickets of the Smart Stage Matinee? A bit underwhelming. I guess my expectations were higher, as they have recorded with Stevie Wonder and another famous artist. Maybe more of a background rhythmic sound.

  • A Fun Evening

Fabulous harmonies, high energy dance moves and humor combine to make this a really entertaining event.

Very good performance but we enjoyed the original group and those older songs from several years back. Great for first time attendees, but we would not go again soon.

  • Beautiful Music Beautiful Message Beautiful People

by KClown on 2/8/17Stephens Auditorium - AmesRating: 5 out of 5

Not all the words were understandable, but the messages were always clear. The ranges on the bass and tenor ends were remarkable. They introduced each of their songs with some humor and some background to help us understand. Their messages of joy and freedom were inspirational.

by DanaSenegal on 2/3/17Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

I have been listening to this group ever since I was a child, but seeing them live was just unbelievable. They were entertaining, funny, energetic, and overwhelmingly talented! I feel so lucky that I was able to see them.

  • Fantastic!!!

by TechFail on 2/3/17Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

This group is so inspiring, and their music so beautiful. I wish I had taken my 10-year-old son, I think they are great for kids about that age and older. Also, there is not a bad seat in this theater, very intimate.

This is my second Ladysmith Black Mambazo concert, and it was as good as the first concert 20 years ago. Their voices are beautiful. A truly uplifting event. We had a great time as did everyone around us. Of course, you are going to want to try the leg kick after :)
