About

Kevin Nealon has set himself apart from other comedic performers with his unique sense of humor, dry wit, and likeable demeanor. Nealon is best known for his nine-year stint as a cast member of NBC's "Saturday Night Live." More recently, Nealon has received critical acclaim for his role in the Showtime series "Weeds." The show was honored at the 2006, 2007 and 2009 Golden Globes where they were nominated for "Best Television Series in a Musical or Comedy." In 2007 and 2009 "Weeds" was also nominated in the "Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series" category at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Nealon can next be seen on the big screen opposite Jennifer Aniston, Adam Sandler, Nicole Kidman, and Heidi Montag in JUST GO WITH IT, a film about a man who enlists the help of a woman and her kids to land the woman of his dreams.  In the film, Nealon stars as "Adon," one half of a plastic-surgery-obsessed couple.

Nealon has completed production for the sixth season of the Showtime series "Weeds." The all-star cast which includes Mary Louise Parker, Elizabeth Perkins and Justin Kirk centers around a single mother, Nancy Botwin, who makes ends meet by selling marijuana. Nealon portrays Nancy's nearly perpetually stoned accountant and business advisor.  The sixth season of "Weeds" will premiere on August 16, 2010 on Showtime.

Nealon is also the voice for the title role in the stop-motion animated series "Glenn Martin, DDS."   He stars opposite Catherine O'Hara and Judy Greer.  The show airs on Nick At Nite and follows the adventures of a traveling dentist and his family.  The second season of "Glenn Martin, DDS" will premiere on June 11, 2010.

Nealon was last seen on the big screen in ALIENS IN THE ATTIC opposite Tim Meadows and Ashley Tisdale. The adventure comedy, shot in New Zealand, follows a family who teams up against aliens invading their home through the attic.

In late 2009, Nealon's first one hour stand up special called, "Kevin Nealon: Now Hear Me Out!" aired on Showtime to rave reviews.  It is currently available on DVD.

Nealon wrote a book entitled, Yes, You're Pregnant But What About Me?, which is a comical look at the male perspective of pregnancy. The book was released on May 13, 2008 and is available in bookstores.

Nealon can be seen in the independent feature REMARKABLE POWER with Tom Arnold. Nealon stars as a late night talk show host who goes to great lengths to bring his cancelled show back on the air.  He can also be seen in the upcoming Nick Swardson feature BORN TO BE A STAR.

Last year Nealon hosted TBS's "Funniest Commercials of the Year" for the fifth time. The special highlights the most outrageous commercials from around the world and has been a continued success for the Network.

As one of the longest running cast members on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" (1986-1995), Nealon created some of the show's most memorable characters including ‘The Subliminal Man' and ‘Hans and Franz.' Nealon's reoccurring role as an anchor on ‘Weekend Update' made the sketch a show staple. In 1988 Kevin was nominated for an Emmy Award as part of the SNL writing team.

Nealon can be seen in the comedic success ANGER MANAGEMENT opposite Jack Nicholson and fellow "SNL" comedian Adam Sandler.  He also starred with Sandler in EIGHT CRAZY NIGHTS, THE WEDDING SINGER, HAPPY GILMORE, and YOU DON'T MESS WITH THE ZOHAN, which grossed $201 Million worldwide.  In addition, Nealon starred with "Saturday Night Live" alumni David Spade, in JOE DIRT.  His other film credits include DADDY DAY CARE with Eddie Murphy, GOOD BOY with Molly Shannon, ROXANNE with Steve Martin, and the cult hit, GRANDMA'S BOY with Jonah Hill and Nick Swardson.

Nealon is a familiar figure on television as well with a number of guest appearances on "Monk", "Fat Actress", "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Still Standing."

A group of 12 of us went to see Kevin in Sacramento. We all had a great time. Kevin's set was funny on all topics, he has great timing and delivery. Kevin has a very cool presence on stage and his delivery is very casual and comfortable. He had us rolling. I would recommend this show to anyone looking for a good laugh.

    Laughed until we hurt

by JAluvsPH on 9/16/11Helium Comedy Club - Philadelphia

Great show! A geniuely fun time. The whole room was rolling. He even did my favorite character, which is Mr. Subliminal. The opening acts were good too. Met him outside before the show and had us laughing before we walked in the building. Later, we got pictures with him after the show. A really nice guy! Would definitely see him again.

    good show

by MTahoe on 2/28/11MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa - Stateline

Love Kevin Nealon. Most bits very funny. Have seen his standup several times... But this time he went on way too long regarding grown up versions of "potty talk." Really? Do we really need to hear about your enemas? On and on. Not something I want in my head when looking for a fun night out. Maybe because he has a potty training four year old at home, he is becoming anal, literally. I view potty talk jokes in the same category as mean/bullying sarcasm: not very creative, an easy way out for a cheap laugh, and just plain annoying. Other than that, the rest was great. Everyone in Tahoe still talking about it & quoting show...that is probably exactly what you want.

    Kevin nailed it!

by Intokev on 2/18/11Cobbs Comedy Club - San Francisco

Super funny. I mean I wasn't busting up, hysterically laughing the whole time but I would say it was a consistent chuckle. If you like kevin nealon then you will like his stand up. It's exactly what I expected-dry and sarcastic. He started out pretty slow but totally warmed up and I found myself hoping it wouldn't end. He did subliminal man a bit and at the end he did some improv which was fun and involved the audience. He was on for about an hour, which I thought was perfect. The opener was weird.

    Amazing

by BraydenBoy on 2/3/11MontBleu Casino Resort - Lake Tahoe

Truly one of the best stand-up's in the world. Hung onto every line, every punchline. Can't wait to see him in Lake Tahoe on the 2/26.

Mediocre at best!! Only 1 Hour Set!!

by PappaV on 9/20/10Hu Ke Lau - Chicopee

I love Kevin Nealon and was excited to see him for my first time. The opening act was very funny and warmed the crowd right up. Then Kevin came on stage and was slow to start. Mentioned the show Weeds and crowd went ballistic. But he never gave his super sardonic and witty humor. Instead we got a "I'm not really into doing this tonight" kinda show. I know comedians travel a lot and have good days and bad days. But he kept looking at his watch and never really delivered what I know he is capable of. I'm not saying he wasn't funny, but rather disinterested. When someone looks at their watch 5 times while on stage in the middle of an act it tells me they don't want to be there. Plus it was only a 1 Hour Set!!! :(

    Potent Medicine

by Argento on 9/20/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Kevin Nealon is much taller than I expected. I bought the cheap balcony seats and except for the scalp burn from the spotlight and the feeling of vertigo way up high, I had a great experience. Kevin's humor is deadpan, not raunchy, and full of topics I could relate to. I've read that the emotions connected to laughing are similar to those of crying. I'm pretty sure there were tears streaming down my face at times during KN's performance. Thanks, I needed that.

    Kevin Nealon

    by 968574123 on 9/20/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Excellent show! The show was fresh, energetic, and a constant string of laughs. Nealon did not rely on his older schtick, but rather had a ton of new material and kept the laughs rolling. I would definitely recommend his show to anyone looking for a laugh or 15...

    The Nealon Connection

by commproff on 9/20/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Kevin Nealon, as expected, put on an outstanding show at the Wilbur in Boston. Immediately the audience felt comfortable with his stage presence...kind of like old home week. His routines were not completely new, but as funny as ever. His subject material was pretty much out of the daily lives of those people ages 35-60, not hesitating to make social commentary on everything from personal relationships to our sometimes daily routines. Like his stuff on "subliminal man", he seems to bring to the surface issues that may be touchy to talk about, but you know everyone is thinking. His show was fairly clean; its a show that you can take any family member to, but kids under 15.

    Kevin Nealon - Freakishly Tall....

    by Plotkin35 on 9/20/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

My title reflects part of his act. He is one of the funniest comedians hands down. His comedy seems to just flow without effort. His delivery is perfect, and he interacts with the crowd in a great way, without alienating them. I would highly recommend seeing him. He even does pictures, and a meet-n-greet with fans after. We took a picture with him, and he inscribed my book with a very witty comment based off what my female friend said to him. I give him 5 stars for sure.
