  • Okay

by ABCDEFG on 8/16/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 2 out of 5

The event was okay. I found the diaplays to be cool and more representing of dinosaurs. The show with a "real" dinosaur was awful. The costume was only half a body and showed the persons legs. It was basically a sweatshirt that was supposed to represent a dinosaur. I figured the show would have been somewhat educational but it was not thoughtfully put together and kind of awkward. Many of the staff at the event seemed like they didn't want to be there or enjoy their job. The dinosaur rides were cool for little ones but they had paint chips and chucks of material missing. The bounce houses were a nice added touch. The battery operated jeeps were a good thought but again not thoughtfully planned out. Because they had to charge each jeep after about 2 uses it took a VERY long time for our turn. Overall I was VERY underwhelmed and wasn't worth the cost to enter.

  • Not as interactive as described

by Kate on 8/16/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 3 out of 5

Interesting exhibit but a little old for our 3.5 year old. The quality of the raptor show/rides was less than great. The dinosaurs seemed tired. Lines were long and the staff putting on the show just seemed to be yelling into the microphone.

  • Expensive for what you get

by Jen on 8/16/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 3 out of 5

It was very neat to walk through, see the dinosaurs, and read about where they came from. My 3 girls loved the exhibits. So crowded unable to watch the train a dinosaurs show. Many adults standing in front of the kids. My girls where a little too big and old for the bounce houses. Before going in I let them each get a shirt and dinosaur stuffed animal $150. Already paid around $300 for tickets and the extra pack and unlimited. So I was a lot disappointed when I realized I paid a total of $450+ just to walk in a circle and look at dinosaurs, get a pack that had a cheesy dinosaurs figure inside a chalk egg, poster, and origami directions on how to make a dinosaur. Only reason I gave a 3 rating is because the 3 girls said they enjoyed it. Other than that 2 big thumbs down.

  • Great Experience With the Nieces!

by MJS on 8/16/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

I took my two young nieces to the Saturday show, and they loved every minute of it! The fossils, the animatronics, the obstacle courses, but their favorite part was the Raptor Experience! They want to go back if it comes back to Bangor next year!

  • Meh

by Jedmiston on 8/16/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 1 out of 5

Honestly, it was a very basic and small amount of dinosaurs to look at. The “interactive” exhibits were barely that and all the ride-on equipment was designed for the ages of 2-4 tops. The T-Rex was a baby, maybe 4 ft tall. That was very disappointing. No where near worth the money

  • Great for young kiddos!

by Jurassic Mom on 8/16/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 4 out of 5

We took our 5 yr old daughter and her 4 yr old friend. They had an absolute blast riding the dinos, digging for fossils and seeing all the life size models! Would not recommend for older kids.

  • Underwhelmed

by Angie on 8/16/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 2 out of 5

Completely underwhelming, paid $15 for upgrade so my Grandson could go on one ride. One of the ride attendants was super ride to parents and none of the attendants helped get the kids on the rides. Never again

  • The kids loved it

by Gram on 8/16/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 3 out of 5

There was a lot going on. Lots and lots of different Dino’s and plenty to entertain the kids. It was also very overcrowded lines were too long so wait time was a little long for younger children

  • Underwhelming

by TBash on 8/16/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 2 out of 5

It was a mildly glorified fair/circus atmosphere, if I am to be totally honest. There wasn’t a huge TRex as was listed there would be. It wasn’t nearly as cool as the pictures depicted it would be. And nearly $40 for a kids unlimited pass?? The workers didn’t even check if kids had bracelets or not for the bounce houses 😂 So what was even the point other than a money grab? Overall, this was a typical parent trap. I’ll definitely be rethinking going to these events in the future.

  • Jurassic quest Bangor

by Norma on 8/16/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

Our 4 year old great grandson loved it. Very glad that we bought the ultimate ticket for him. My only complaint is that there were no benches or chairs for parents in the activity area

  • Jurassic Bust

by Noell on 8/15/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 1 out of 5

Perhaps is was the venue but the entire exhibit was a disappointment. Minimal animation just some tail swinging and loud noises. Rides were dirty and very much for toddlers only. I wouldn’t suggest going with kids over 4 or 5. We had a 6:15 event time and the concessions closed at 6:30. Not worth it at all.

  • We sadly, never got to the event.

by Rick on 8/15/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 1 out of 5

In attempting to purchase two tickets for this event, I purchased only one ticket, and could not obtain a second for my wife for anything near the same time slot. Disgusted, we decided not to attend rather than loose any more time and money. Too bad, it looked like it was a really good event.

  • SubPar/Run Down

by MaineMom on 8/15/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 1 out of 5

I had looked online to see videos of others at the event to see what it was like and was very disappointed at location in Bangor Maine that many of the Dino’s were not functioning! My son was 3 and he was so excited to see the triceratops which had tipped ver and was laying on its side. Many Dino’s were not moving even though you could see they were supposed to. The biggest Dino had no movement or sound and it was supposed to. 3/4 of the animatronic Dino’s did nothing. It was very run down. Waste of $

  • T-Rex No Show

by DadoF on 8/15/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 3 out of 5

There was no T-Rex it completely killed the experience…..without T-Rex it was a true disappointment not only to me who had spend good money for 2 unlimited Kids and 4 adults it’s was disappointing for both my grandkids because that’s all they talked about on the 2 1/2 hours trip to Bangor. Feel like we was cheated

  • Loved it!

by Crystal on 8/15/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

My 6 year old had a great time and enjoyed all of the exhibits. He’s still playing with the dinosaur he bought there days later.

  • Mixed feelings

by AJ on 8/15/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 3 out of 5

Mixed feelings because this event was really cool but there were too many people to get the full experience. The dinosaurs on display moved and made sound and we’re large!!! It was every kid’s dream. My biggest complaint is that there was too many people at the event. Sell less tickets to give everyone a better experience. That or have more rides for the kids. The wait to ride on rides were way too long! We paid for an unlimited ride ticket but only went on one ride due to the long lines! I was not expecting the rides to be one kid at a time. Also the raptor training was really cool but not enough space for my child to get anywhere close to see. We didn’t get to see the baby dinosaur puppets as others posted online. We spent 2 1/2 hours and majority of it waiting in line for one ride.

  • Great family fun, total surprise!

by LRDVADR on 8/15/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I surprised our two children (7 and 8) with a quick trip up to this event in Bangor, ME. The children were happily surprised at the sight of the T-Rex, right out front. The event had some extremely friendly and helpful staff. Also the staff working inside were helpful and very knowledgeable when confronted by our children's questions. I'd highly recommend others to check this event out with or without children. This was a great start to our summer fun with the kids. I'd recommend the purchase of the unlimited ticket for children. I noticed this after our purchase, though was an easy upgrade for us at the time of the event. Small extra charge, but the value was worth it for the kids. Check it out!

  • Great for young kids

by O' Dog on 7/27/22Raising Cane's River Center Exhibition Hall - Baton RougeRating: 4 out of 5

Great dinosaur experience for young kids around 6 and under. No much to do for older kids. My 3 year old grandson had a blast. Did not want to leave. The life-sized dinosaurs was amazing. Make the remote control vehicle experience more interactive like driving through an actual safari.
