  • Not worth the money

by Jd on 8/17/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 1 out of 5

We expected more. Nothing really surprised us. Not all exhibits were set up

  • Cheaply done

by Ace on 8/17/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 1 out of 5

My spouse myself my daughter her husband and my grandchildren went it was quite expensive for us all to get in for what you got and what you saw it was very small and seemed very cheaply done.

  • Kids loved it but…

by Cam McGoo on 8/17/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 4 out of 5

It was a great experience for my grandsons, 7 and 8. Downside from an adult perspective is that there were not any inexpensive items the kids could get from the vendors ($25 for a plastic plinth hat they would break in five minutes) and some of the dinosaurs were damaged from overuse (broken plastic, missing teeth). I would have expected more. Also the lines for the dinosaur rides were too long. The goal was achieved - kids had a great time but I think the company could do better equipment and vendor wise.

  • Jurassic Quest

by Jamie on 8/17/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

Was super cute! I had a toddler who loved the toddler room. I had teenagers who loved the dino show and a newborn who loved all the lights. And the dino museum was great for the adults. something for everyone! Was great!

  • Kidosaurs

    by M. k. on 8/17/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 4 out of 5

Kids had a great time... Needs More batteries for jeeps for little ones. Only 3 were working the rest were charging. More dinosaurs to ride. Lines were very long. One bounce house for toddlers only. They big kids were to rough with the little ones. Bottle juice for kids

  • Fun event

by DadOfTeen on 8/17/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 4 out of 5

We enjoyed the Dino training, stayed to watch it 2x. Displays were good, but screen info scrolled too fast to read easily. Fun event, would consider going again!

  • Jurassic Quest Comes to Bangor

by Jeff on 8/17/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 3 out of 5

For my 12 year old dino-loving grandson it was a SUPER HIT . However , for the two adults who accompanied him ( I was one of them ) it could have been better . First , the sound quality for the Raptor Training Area host was poor . I'd expect CLEAR audio -it wasn't . He DID do a very good job though with his presentation . The costume for the raptor in the training session REALLY needs to be improved by adding additional material to the front of the costume so you can not see the legs of the human being who's operating it . REALISTIC PRESENTATION is the key here . I want to be WOWED by realistic presentation . The other exhibits DID have very good realistic appearances . The dino-rides were good....longer waits than I would have liked though . Finally ... I think reduced ticket prices for the adults who accompany the kids are in order . I was there to make sure my 12 year old stayed SAFE . perhaps admission prices for the kids should go up a bit but a $10 admission price would have been plenty for an adult who was supervising a child . Lastly , I think having a designated area for folks to sit and rest a bit , enjoy some concessions or attend to their kids would have been a great addition . I know after standing as I did for well over an hour my feet were killing me and I still had to walk out to my car which was some distance from the building exit . Overall the show gets 4 Stars from a 12 year old boy and 2 Stars from a 65 year old grandfather so a final score of 3 .

  • Disappointed

by Melissa on 8/17/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 3 out of 5

Large dinosaur in the middle was made up of several pieces, the pieces werent even together correctly, looked like its leg was falling off with a huge gap. Fuzzy dinosaurs looked like they were from the 80s, patches of fur missing, needed to be brushed etc. Animation was very basic, again, technology from the 80s. Was so dark that you could barely see the actual fossils, impossible to read the card so you knew what you were looking at. I will say the male ranger with the baby dinosaur was great, very interactive with the kids and did a great job, very realistic. Overal disappointing and will not go again if they return.

  • A Very Fun Adventure

by Jamie on 8/17/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 4 out of 5

I recently attended a Jurassic Quest event with my 2 children, ages 6 and 4.5. My children are dinosaur lovers and we were very excited to have Jurassic Quest come to our area. This a very fun event with a lot of neat activities included. The dinosaur statues were a huge hit, especially the 30ft one. My kids loves meeting the baby dinosaurs and the Dino rides. It was clear a lot of thought was put into the layout. I appreciated that they put some activities in a separate room to help space it out and divide up the crowd. It did not feel overcrowded at all. My only wish is that the prices of souvineers had more variety, especially for families on a budget. We understand the tickets for admission as well as the cost to allow the kids to do the activities is going to be a little higher given the type of event. But of course the kids love to take away a souvenir as a way to remember the fun day. I was a little surprised to see that some of the lowest costs for souvenirs was $20. If you have one child that could be doable but when you have multiple children and you’ve already spent quite a bit of money on the event that can be very hard. There were a few items that you might be able to adjust the price on. But I think if you added smaller souvenirs or trinkets to the mix that would give a better variety of price for families. Overall though my children had a blast as did I and we look forward to maybe coming back if you ever come to our area again.

  • What they did have was cool

by Stan on 8/17/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 2 out of 5

For the price I expected to see a lot more. The displays they had were pretty awesome but there was not a lot. They could have done better at displaying the dinosaurs stats and fun facts. Some didn’t have any. Only a few activities for kids. Nothing teenager related for fun. In and out in 20 minutes. Disappointed for the price things cost

  • Was expecting more

by Cece on 8/17/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 3 out of 5

Was expecting more than what was there and would’ve been nice if they had had info on the dinosaurs that were there.

  • Felt like a waste of money.

by Benjamin on 8/17/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 1 out of 5

Paid nearly $150 to take the family to the exhibit. We did enjoy looking at the dinosaur replicas and fossils. However, the live show couldn’t be seen easily as there were to many people crowded around and 75% of the activities were more for children under 5. My boys are 8 & 10 so were not able to participate in some activities as they were too big. Felt like I wasted money paying for the “unlimited” kids ticket. Souvenirs were grossly overpriced as well.

  • Maybe not worth the price point

by Ally on 8/17/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 3 out of 5

There was only one ride and you have to wait 20+ minutes in line. There was no bracelet checking so don’t waste your money on buying the expansion add-on for $15. Really disappointed there were no hand sanitizing stations at all throughout the venue. Overall I think the kids had an OK time. Seemed to find the most joy in the fossil dig area.

  • Amazing

by Sue on 8/17/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

Was not expecting it to be as fantastic as it was. The amount of time and work it must have taken to set the exhibit up would probably scare the normal person. The exhibits were interesting for both adults and children. The dinosaurs were so life like it was amazing. Then of course, there were the ones the kids could ride on. I was there for over three hours with my granddaughter and she would have stayed longer had I not had an appointment. There was the educational part and then you had the inflatable bouncy houses, riding cars and not as fancy dinosaurs. It was a day packed full of fun without costing an arm & a leg. Definitely would go again if it ever came back to Bangor.

  • needs an update

by Gigi on 8/17/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 3 out of 5

Jurassic Quest was not what they hyped it up to be. I feel the $36.00 we paid for an unlimited ticket was not worth what was there. The bones were cool and the displays were all right but fresh paint and some updating wouldn't hurt. I think more hands on activities would make this a lot more exciting for kids and grown ups. over priced for what is offered. Would not recommend

  • Uneventful

by Julie on 8/17/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 1 out of 5

Overcrowded and uneventful. A science museum is cheaper and more realistic. The only thing my kids actually got to do was play in the sand. Not at all with the price

  • Expected more

by nursemom on 8/17/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 3 out of 5

Even though it was a lot to see and my 6-year-old did enjoy it, I felt it was a bit overpriced because most of it was just about walking around and viewing the exhibits. There were some "rides" for the kids to enjoy, but I felt that they were more appropriate for the younger kids and not a child who is school-aged and above. Also, I did purchase the quest pack, and need to say, I was disappointed because it cost 50 and it consisted of a very cheap "backpack". It was not a backpack, but a cinch bag with thin string. Also, the surprises in the backpack seemed like cheaply made dollar store products. I would highly recommend more interactive areas geared toward children older than 4. I will need to say that the staff who were running the show, especially the training session and the lady who was running the Q& A area were awesome!!

  • My boys loved it!

by Mom of boys on 8/16/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

They did a great job with this event! Lots of things to keep young ones interested. Would definitely return for another show!

  • My boys loved it.

by Grace on 8/16/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

My boys loved it. My oldest son is a dinosaur fanatic and he loved everything about it. My youngest son wanted to touch all the dinosaurs. Told me it would be the only time he could touch them as they are extinct now. It was very interesting for my husband and I as well. The only thing I had a issue with was I paid the extra money for my kids tickets to cover the rides and when we got to the check-in table they gave my kids the backpack's I paid for and said we were all set. Got downstairs and when we went to do the rides they asked where my kids bracelet's or blue tickets were. They hadn't given us either one. So in order for my kids to do the rides I had to go all the way back upstairs to get there bracelet's. Other then that all around we had a fun day as a family.

  • Too expensive

by Sv on 8/16/22Cross Insurance Center - BangorRating: 3 out of 5

Lack of Wi-Fi caused delays in people getting into event, times of entry weren’t checked causing overcrowding, long lines for rides. The prices of the “souvenirs” were insanely high.
