Seeing Joshua Redman and his talented musicians in concert was an amazing experience. This was his first time at the Birchmere and he did not disappoint. He is a phenomenal sax player. I'm so happy I finally got to see him live.
Joshua Redman's performance with his band is by far the best concert I have ever seen at the Birchmere. Not only was he so talented, but very personable as well. He played with a joy that was embraced the entire audience. Then the Rythm section got to do their thing and lead to more standing ovations. Birchmere please bring him back.

Josh Redman is such a virtuoso! Truly the best saxophonist of his generation. His performance at the theatre Maisoneuve Place Des Arts in Montreal was incredible. Audience didn’t want him and his oh-so-talented band and singer to leave!! Was a joy to see and hear!!!

I am a 79 yr old jazz lover who has been to many jazz performances. This was one of the best of my life. Joshua Redman has a unique sound and creative arrangements of well known tunes.
This concert had my emotions in full swing. From tears to bliss, I was in awe the entire time! After Minneapolis was so moving, words are too superficial to describe it. I think jazz is too complex for most of our society. I am honored to have the opportunity to experience artists like Joshua Redman and his group, and to feel the expression they issue. I could’ve sat there for days, listening to them. With much appreciation, you all have made my life richer!
Pure joy and immersion, a sojourn in sound…a flight to the heights and moments of ecstasy. So many times I found myself lost in the music, soaring in the stars, floating like star dust across the MLK Way…then coming back to my own beating heart. Thank you Joshua Redman and the band for all that you do. Bravo!
I’ve been going to jazz concerts for over 40 years and this performance was one of the best. The interplay between voice and saxophone was magical while appearing effortless; the drummer seemed locked in to every nuance from the sax too. A sense of pure joy and energy radiated from the stage while the music was technically superb. The two covers that blew me away were - Springsteen’s Philadelphia and the Eagles’ Hotel California. Gabrielle’s vocal phrasing made them seem like Jazz classics while never losing the songs essence. Josh Redman Group - goose pimple time folks. Don’t miss them.
