  • Flecktones deliver with original lineup

by Adam on 8/29/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I have seen this band 9 times since 2000 and this tour brings back the original lineup with Howard Levy on keys and harmonicas (another lineup includes Jeff Coffin who is currently busy on tour with DMB). The show was mind-blowing and did not rely on heavy theatrics or a crazy light show. Simply put, this is a group of guys with other-worldly bluegrass, jazz and classical skills who have carved a sound unlike any other band. Bela has won countless Grammys in countless categories for his banjo expertise, and Victor Wooten is certainly on everybody's top bassist list. And don't get me started on Futureman and his highly modified percussion instrument the SyntheAxe Drumitar. Add in the original keyboard man Howard Levy and you have a stellar lineup of top level players with great chemistry.

  • Out of this world!

    by Mark P on 8/28/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Not enough superlatives to describe what I witnessed. I didn't know anything about these guys before seeing them other than checking out Victor Wooten videos on YouTube. I enjoy different genres of music, but this was different than anything. Basically four guys who are the best musicians on Earth with compositions that are as intriguing and fun as anything I've ever heard. My brain was melted nine different ways, in a good way. Thank you Béla and the boys!

  • Maybe best concert ever

by RJS on 8/27/25The Magnolia - El CajonRating: 5 out of 5

We were so impressed with each member of the Flexstonesd, and Bela’s generous highlighting of each musician. The Magnolia is an excellent venue and there are a dozen excellent restaurants within walking distance.

  • Perfect Show

by BluegrassMom on 1/13/22Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I took my son as his 16th birthday gift. It could not have been a better lineup! We had never been to the Ryman so our seats weren't optimal but that's all on me. Bela and friends, keep it up!!

  • Best Bluegrass Show

by RP on 1/11/22Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This was an amazing experience and it was incredible to see some of the most talented bluegrass musicians play with each other! I loved watching them switch in and out of different songs showing how talented and versatile they are.

  • good experience

    by George P on 1/11/22Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

the ushers are a bit heavy handed if attendees stand or dance in the aisles

  • Warning: Obstructed View

by Louise on 1/11/22Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

When selling tickets, it would be a great service to make it clear to the buyer, prior to the sale, when the seat has an obstructed view. The show itself could not have been better. The Ryman is one of the best theaters in the world and the talent on stage was staggering in magnitude. The show was fantastic, but might have been a bit more enjoyable without a support pillar smack in the middle of my view of the stage. I might purchase an obstructed view seat, but would like to be aware of it and allowed to make that decision. PS The performance was Bela Fleck and My Bluegrass Heart, not with the Flecktones, you have have the wrong photo and name on this message. thanks

When selling seats that have an obstructed view, it would be a great service to make that clear to the buyer prior to the sale of the ticket. Also, I'm sorry I no longer get a paper ticket to keep in my collection. The show itself couldn't have been any better. The Ryman is a classic venue and the talent on stage couldn't be topped. It was fantastic, but might have been a little better without a support pillar in the middle of my view of the stage. P.S. It was Bela Fleck and My Bluegrass Heart, not with the Flecktones, so you have the wrong photo and name on this message.

  • The Best Ever

    by Julie C on 1/11/22Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

We love shows at the Ryman and travel from Texas for special events. We cannot thank everyone involved enough for moving the show from the 7th to the 8th because of the snow. This show was totally amazing from the second Sam Bush walked out on the stage. As each incredible musician joined him, the impeccable musicianship never stopped. It was the opportunity of a lifetime to see so many greats on one stage together. Unforgettable.
