Yellowjackets Tickets

First of all, the boys are brilliant as usual and were VERY tight in their performance. The new guy on bass is bloody brilliant. I miss Jimmy, but this kid is great. They are always a toe-tapping joy to listen to. Jimmy's is a very nice venue. The ticket map is fairly accurate. They have screens in the bar area. Acoustics are great. Food is very good. Menu not a huge choice, but there's something there for everyone. Bar is well stocked. If you see an artist you love to see live and they are coming to Jimmy's, GO!

The Yellowjackets just keep getting better and better in their writing and performances! Seeing them in a venue like Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues only makes the experience that much better.

Bob Mintzer is still doing his thing on tenor-a mix of new harmonic combinations and classic saxophone stylings. Bassist Dane Anderson is a real treat to listen to with incredible technique. The band employs a number of polyrhythms interspersed throughout songs that feels organic. Loved it!

Been following The Yellowjackets since 1983 and this was my first time seeing them live. What a great show. They sound better live than on the recordings! The texture and tone of their playing was perfect. New bassist, Australian Dane Anderson put on a magnificent performance as did the entire band. Thank you so much for keeping the dream alive.

With their unbelievable musicality, the Yellowjackets is undoubtedly one of the best Jazz (fusion) band I have ever heard. The show was jawdropping.

Musicianship on display. Beautiful performance. They are as tight as ever. So glad i was there. William Kennedy was mesmerizing on drums.

The venue was great, it was well worth the drive from Buffalo NY.

There are a lot of really good progressive jazz / fusion bands with top musicians. But this was one of the best I have ever seen. The grooves were so interesting and the melodies not so esoteric as some tend to be. The songs were just beautiful and each was better then the last. All the musicians were amazing but as a drummer, I think Will Kennedy is easily one of the top ten on the planet. Each note he played was purposeful and directed the songs perfectly. Sometimes after an hour 40 minutes of listening to high energy jazz one can spent, a little tired after all that intensity. We could have literately stayed for another complete show or gone back a second night. It was like beautiful smooth jazz that was very upbeat. 10 out of 10. Will travel to see this band.

Yellowjackets are AWESOME!! My fiance’ favorite band. The venue was great, good sound and the music was inspiring. This band has been around for years but it never gets old to listen to them play. We’ll definitely check them out again!
