Good old fashioned comedy night with one of the greatest in one of the most iconic rooms
Fun time but we had to find the Will Call to get tickets. No signs and very frustrating. Why don’t the just use mobile tickets like everybody else?
Very fun - old school comedy, the way it should be. Not too political - just really a great time!
It was great to see him in person. He kept to showing moving and the audience for one hour.
Wow, Jon Lovitz did not disappoint! His standup routine was fresh, current, and as expected, extremely hilarious! Lovitz doesn't shy away from ANY topic, which is refreshing for a comedian as most shows are now politically correct. Please note: If you aren't familiar with his type of comedy, then I recommend watching his old material before purchasing, and then book this show!
My wife and I went to another show earlier in the week and the Jon Lovits show was the best. He's a great comic and did not disappoint.
FUN . Did not know how great his voice sounds during songs.
We were super excited and looking forward to seeing Jon Lovitz at the Laugh Factory in Las Vegas! However, we were disappointed in the content of his show throughout his whole 'short' performance of less than an hour.
We saw Jon Lovitz in Las Vegas at the Tropicana Laugh Factory July 26. He was hysterical! I loved him on SNL and all his movies and to see him up close was a blast! So talented and funny! What a great singing voice too! Jon’s show is tge best on the strip!
I am a huge fan of standup. Good comedians are awesome, but I even like terrible standup and local open mic nights. I have never walked out of a set, and certainly didn't expect to walk out on Jon, who I am a fan of and was really excited to see. But that's what happened. There was no opening act, it was just him. Jon didn't really know his material, which was bad, and he was stumbling through his set. It was like boomer humor, but not the funny kind, and not well delivered in any case. The set consisted of mostly jokes you might have read on Facebook 6 years ago. His punch lines were getting very sparse polite chuckles, but I think most of the audience was sort of shocked at how bad it was. We left feeling pretty sad at what we had seen.
The content that Jon Lovitz decided to use as ‘comedy material’ was anything but. His choice to use sexual assault and gender identity as punch lines was personally offensive as well as a horrible misuse of his platform. Traveling the country laughing about sexual assault is the fuel that leads people to still think it is okay to commit and prevents people from speaking out. The comedy show started off fun and easy and the ushers were really polite and helpful, Tim meadows and Chris Kattan were hilarious and interactive with the crowd. Jon lovitz however completely altered the atmosphere of the evening and I do not think it was a coincidence that so many women left during his set. If I had known the subject matter of his jokes I would not have purchased a ticket.
Tim meadows was great. Jon Lovitz was excellent. Super funny and a good singer too. I loved this show.
It was the shortest show ever, They started right at 7:20pm and ended at 8:45pm.
Jon Lovitz was great. Chris Kattan, Tim Meadows, and the comedian doing the introductions were not very funny. Would have liked to see more of Lovitz and Kattan's SNL material.
I've been a fan of Jon Lovitz for years but never had a chance to see him in person. When I heard he was coming to AC I jumped at the chance and bought a ticket. I kept my expectations in check right up until he came out on stage; I was laughing from the very start. He blew me away. His standup was better than I imagined. I was literally laughing the entire time. If he ever comes back to the area I am buying another ticket.
I did not realize his work was based on making fun of so many ethnic groups, gays and transgenders. Seemed dated and he seemed unprepared. Also his frequent use of profanity was disturbing. Loved the comedian before him, unfortunately can’t remember his name!!
John Lovitz was funny, current, and very entertaining! We thoroughly enjoyed his performance. Most of it was laugh out loud funny!
Better than I hoped! Howie Mandel's comedy club is an intimate venue at the new Hard Rock Casino in Atlantic City. The opening comedian was mediocre at best talking about his family life with mildly amusing stories about his daughters. Then Jon Lovitz came out with his hilarious brand of humor and delivery. The audience was in stitches. If you like Jon's personality and humor on SNL, you will deft love his comedy stand-up.
The only issue I had was the opening act, the comedian was very painful and I couldn't wait till he was done. But Jon Lovitz was excellent, if you had a better opening act I would have given a 5 stars.
