FUN, UpScale, Great LineUps, DELICIOUS Food&Drinks With Suprisingly Decent Prices! Gorgeous VENUE In The Super Nice LINQ-HOTEL Outdoor Promanade (The Alley) Next To The Gigantic Ferris Wheel...And The FLAMINGO Hotel. Great Experiences Last Week 4/24
I was made aware Adam C was not going to be there, but his replacement was absolutely horrendous. He just talked to the audience for the entire set, couldn’t remember anyone’s name and kept asking them again and again. Never laughed so little at a comedy show. The only thing worse than the headliner was the magician who opened. It was like they knew we were there to see someone else and just mailed it in. Would not return to this venue.
Paid $220 for 2 tickets. Upgraded to the reserved seats - definitely not worth. The venue is very small - all the seats are basically the same. Despite our best attempt(s)- we could not get the servers' attention to order a drink. Watched the entire show without a cocktail. 3 opening acts and Michael Yo as the main act. The entire show was 1 hour, 15 minutes long. I know these peope are working hard but the opening acts were very amateur. Michael Yo said he was "testing out ideas"for new material - meaning half the ideas fell flat (and he reminded continously that this wasn't his act but "ideas"for a new act). I really don't want to pay $220 to be test market for new ideas - I'm looking to be entertained. Save your money and skip this venue and the acts.
We saw Orny Adams. Great show, highly recommend seeing his stand-up! He also took time at the end of the show to talk to/take pictures with the people that attended the show. Great experience, nice comedy club!
Totally enjoyed the show. Liked the set up with the exception of the long flight of stairs going up to the show room. I have an injured foot. They do have an elevator outside the location that they were able to use. Thank you!
The two opening comedians were great and very funny. Doug Benson was soooooo bad. All he talked about was that he was "extremely high"and was simply not funny. At the end, hardly anyone in the room clapped. But on the other comedians, especially the second one (I think something Tate? from Chicago) the crowd was laughing the whole time and clapped very loud for him at the very end, and no one clapped for Doug at the end. Very disappointing.
One of THE BEST comedy shows that I have ever attended!! Shout out to Jay Reid and his DJ who kept the audience engaged! Also the other comedians had us rolling with their spots…If you can catch this show I would highly recommend!!!!
Club itself was ok. Could have been understaffed. No bar to go get a drink. Was able to only get 1 drink from the waitress that came midway through the show. The Comedian working that night wasn't great either. Just could have been better.
The young ladies who was a surprise predecessor to Jamie was also very good. This was our first visit to Jimmy Kimmles comedy club. We paid extra for reserved seating and while they were very nice, the show could have been enjoyed equally from any seat in the house. Just arrive early to get in line for general attendance seating. There was some food and drink service. Our primary interest was in Jamie Lissow and he was outstanding. Had the house laughing heartily from start to finish. Interacted very nicely with the crowd. Not sure the ticket sellers will appreciate this comment, but knowing the layout of the seating, and advantage to early arrival, we should be able to enjoy more frequent attendance at a much lower cost.
