Loved every minute of this amazing show. Batiste is crazy talented, and takes the audience on a great ride!!
Jon Batiste is a genius of our times! He plays great music of all types. He connects with his audience. So grateful that I was able to hear him!
Jon as always performed flawlessly‼️ it was an awesome performance ... as anticipated🥰
It was my first time at the Avondale Brewery. The venue and stage area was located for great viewing for the act on stage. I true enjoyed the concert. The Jon Batiste Uneasy Tour will be a memorable one, looking forward to going back to the Avondale Brewery.
In our humid hot sticky weather, Jon Batiste continues to bring it all in his show. He dresses in exceptional style and his sweat beads are even beautiful as his music and enthusiasm for life, love and his fans. He brings 300% -Worth every cent one pays to see him in person! and his band mates and co- singer Desi are authentic, down to earth and make the crowd feel like each of us is special. What an amazing showman with an amazing support team 💞
Jon Batiste is one of the rare gems in music today! He is a wonderful musician and entertainer. He lifts your spirit and your soul! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I am 51 and have attended several concerts in my life. Some of those concerts have been big named arena sell outs. However, the Jon Batiste concert was the greatest concert I have ever been to in my life! He knew exactly how to interact with the crowd. He exuded joy as he performed (rarely did a smile leave his face). He even gave a shout out to people across the street trying to get a glimpse of the performance. The only down side was that there were not more fans there. I can't understand why more people did not want to come out to see one of the most talented individuals to walk planet earth!
Fantastic Concert. Batiste loves performing and connecting with the audience. View is obscured in the first few rows left of center due to large box holding synthesizer. This should have been moved out of the way.
This was the best concert I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot! The venue was very intimate and well-kept. The height of the stage is perfect for viewing. The staff was nice and considerate. Jon Batiste brings so much energy and joy to any setting, it was incredible.
From start to finish we had a smile on our face and thoroughly enjoyed the fun and uplifting music by Jon and his band. It’s obvious that to know Jon Batiste is to love him and his exit through the crowds was the best Encore ever!!!
Jon Batiste delivered an all out amazing performance in Austin. The band was fabulous; great dancers, too. I can say without any hokiness that the concert was a spiritually moving experience. He is filled with joy and light, and what an astonishing musician and performer. He played the piano, guitar, saxophone, and the drums, danced with exuberance and joy, and the place singing with delight. A positive and life affirming night that I did not realize I needed so desperately. What a talented humanist. Sensational. He even paraded through the ACL and brought the entire band up to the balcony to play and sing with us. Just wow! Thank you, thank you Jon Batiste!
The Jon Batiste concert was amazing! This masterful blend of music pulling from his various life experiences was therapeutic, invigorating, and inspiring. The venue left a lot to be desired including actual seats!!!!! We paid for the VIP meet and greet and we're not treated like VIPs at all we s hours waiting to see Mr. Batiste for 30 seconds. I would have appreciated about 10-15 talk with him to all the VIPs and 30 seconds for a picture and quick chat!
The Batiste concert was fabulous! He and his fellow musicians gave a first rate performance. It demonstrated his classical style as well as the different genres from his newer compositions. This was my second opportunity to hear a performance with Jon Batiste. The first was at Carnegie Hall in NYC, which was on a more personal and classical level. My only objection was that he performed at the Fillmore in Charlotte and he needed a much larger venue. It was very crowded and one person in our group had claustrophobia. He could have easily filled up Ovens auditorium. I purchased 6 tickets and would have been willing to poy more to have seats.
Jon Batiste gave such a great performance - so talented. He was very engaged with the audience, high energy, and also delivered on "quieter", meaningful and poignant songs. Would definitely see him again!
I had no idea Jon Batiste was as talented as he is!! His energy and music are superb. We were lucky enough to see him in a smaller venue because the way his star is rising, this opportunity won't happen again.
Jon Batiste put on an outstanding performance from start to finish. It was fantastic and everything was on point.
Great show and amazingly talented performers. Standing room only show doesn't allow for short people to secure their spots as tall people wiggle their way in front of you. Just plan to arrive early if you are short to get a front row spot on one of the many levels.
The meet and greet was extremely disappointing with not being able to take pictures and the actual concert was just okay. I stood in the rain for 2 hours just to get inside and once inside, we were made to stand in the merchandise line even if we were not purchasing anything. Once the concert started (30) minutes late, he only played 4 songs and then he came into the audience and left the stage. I spent more time in the rain than listening to him play. I can now say that I’ve seen and heard him in concert but I won’t be buying tickets again as I’d much rather see him on my television.
John B came on twenty minutes late in a standing venue. Also, he didn’t introduce his band. Back up singer did that. I would have loved to have seen him interact with the crowd more on stage via dialogue and not wander through the audience similar to what Buddy Guy use to do at Jazzfest in NOLA. I’m not sure if he was having an off night but I was underwhelmed by the performance. I would not go out of my way to ever see him again live. Would rather see Trombone Shorty, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, any member of the Marsalis or Neville family perform given what I saw of John B in Charlotte NC . Also, the venue, The Fillmore in Charlotte, did a below average job in handling early entry passholders. We received an email the day of the show to arrive at 6:00. We had to stand in rain for 45 minutes before we were let inside. Supposedly, the meet and greet inside was taking longer than expected. There were about thirty of us in the line. I think the Fillmore could have easily let us inside and just had us stand in a separate area from the meet and greet passholders. They had plenty of staff, three at one point just standing in front of the door outside with us. It was odd. We also weren’t allowed to have umbrellas in that line.
