  • Masterful musician and singer!

by SteveF on 5/13/24UB Center for the Arts - Mainstage Theatre - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

Masterful musician, composer, singer, who was engaging with the audience, and came out for two encores. His performance was Professional and enjoyable and memorable. Would definitely tell others to make the point of seeing him if they are able and well the money paid. The venue at University of Buffalo is convenient and the traffic flow of people in and out works well.

  • Mesmerising

by Susan on 5/13/24Landmark Theatre - SyracuseRating: 5 out of 5

It was joyful, a musical stream of consciousness! The only thing that could have made it better; if there was a screen just showing his hands on the piano in the background. Totally loved it.

  • amazing

by Jim on 5/12/24Landmark Theatre - SyracuseRating: 5 out of 5

John Batiste is the most innovative artist I've ever had the pleasure of seeing! His ability to play music from thin air is just amazing. Pure improv laced with great joy and beauty. A beautiful soul! The Landmark Theater in Syracuse is a magnificent circa 1920 hall. Fully gilded, great acoustics! A treasure!

  • Landmark Night

by Jez on 5/12/24Landmark Theatre - SyracuseRating: 5 out of 5

This was such a positive experience! Jon is a beautiful human and he radiates his love of people and music! I loved that it was an original performance and not one that can ever really be experienced anywhere else! The tribute to Somewhere over the Rainbow opened and closed an exceptional performance!

  • Not a show

by Shi on 5/12/24Landmark Theatre - SyracuseRating: 5 out of 5

Seeing Jon Batiste was not seeing a show, it was not going to a concert. It was a MUSICO-SPIRITUAL event where all attendees were blessed to be present during his creative process. We were all blessed to bask in his creative light. It’s so wonderful that he shared himself with his audience that way. Awesome.

  • Jon Batiste & ProMusica Chamber Orchestra

by Wish You Were Here on 5/6/24Southern Theatre - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Went to both the Thursday and Friday concerts. First half of both nights was Jon with his trio, with a lot of music from his new album on Thursday. The audience gave Jon and the rest of musicians a lot of love, which he returned x10. The premiere of his piano concerto Friday with the orchestra was almost rapturous. The synergy between Jon, his trio and the orchestra showed on the faces of everyone on the stage.

  • Could have filled the Schott

by Grammom Hill on 5/6/24Southern Theatre - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

What a spectacular evening for Columbusites! The Southern, home of ProMusica, was a perfect, intimate venue for this stunning, enjoyable, happy concert- but Baptiste could have filled the Schott!!

  • Amazing

by Seymour on 5/6/24Avondale Brewing Co. - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was amazing. Lots of variety. The energy from Jon and the band was infectious. I could have heard them play all evening. Unfortunately no encore due to approaching rain storm. At least we got the concert in.

Went Thursday night to see Jon at the Great Southern Hotel. The performance was Spectacular. I felt like I was in the presence of a 21st century musical genius. He exudes such joy when he performs. I hated to see the evening end.

  • One of the best evenings ever.

by MaryL on 5/5/24Southern Theatre - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Everything about the event was outstanding. Jon Batiste is an extraordinary musician. And he draws the audience to him from start to finish. The musicians were amazing - so in sync with the artist. Jon B. spread joy throughout the hall. Cannot say enough good.
