  • Loved

by Barb on 5/14/24Hershey Theatre - HersheyRating: 5 out of 5

What he did was phenomenal. As always, he's friendly, at ease and lovable. There aren't words to describe what comes from the piano thru him. Amazing, beautiful, unlimited, emotional.....a few words that come to mind, but not even close to who he is and what he does!!

  • Not what I expected

    by gjp220 on 5/14/24Hershey Theatre - HersheyRating: 3 out of 5

I always loved Jon when he was on Colbert show. I expected other musicians on stage, not a solo performance. I realize he is an excellent pianist, but I don't like showoffs and just making noise as some drummers do as well. There was more spirituality than I expected and I would have preferred more music instead. I left early and didn't stay for any encor. Felt the entertainment value for the price of admission was certainly not worth the price.

  • A Masterpiece

by LHJ on 5/14/24Hershey Theatre - HersheyRating: 5 out of 5

Jon Batiste was amazing. One of the best shows I have ever seen. He is an incredible talent.

  • Wonderful but short

by Steve on 5/14/24Hershey Theatre - HersheyRating: 3 out of 5

For $125, less than 90 minutes of performance was disappointing. Hershey Theater’s bag policy is ridiculous.

  • Lifechanging

by CAS on 5/14/24Hershey Theatre - HersheyRating: 5 out of 5

This was a lifechanging and thought-provoking experience. The venue was great, and allowed Jon Batiste to really shine!

  • Amazing

Just an incredible show. He is such a force for positivity. I only wish he could have played a little longer.

  • WOW!

by SPE on 5/13/24UB Center for the Arts - Mainstage Theatre - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

He was Spectacular! Amazing show, one piano sounded like an entire orchesra at different times. He did several encores, the audience did not want to let him go. Great performance!

  • Fills one with hope

by Jon Batiste fills the soul on 5/13/24UB Center for the Arts - Mainstage Theatre - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

Getting the opportunity to witness live improvisational music of this caliber is inspiring and fills one with hope. Jon Batiste is a living Day hero in a genuine American treasure. I'm so grateful to him for inspiring me and my two daughters ages 9 and 11 at his most recent performance in Buffalo, New York.

  • Best ever

by Kelly on 5/13/24UB Center for the Arts - Mainstage Theatre - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

Jon Batiste performed a heartwarming and spiritual performance that was truly inspiring! We felt like we were invited into the intimacy of his living room, included in an energetic atmosphere of pure musical bliss! Great seats that allowed us to see his hands on the piano and see the joy he shared as he played! Loved the concert and appreciated all he did to make it amazing!

  • Pure Musical Genius

by OWLady on 5/13/24UB Center for the Arts - Mainstage Theatre - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

An almost spiritual experience with a man, his piano, (and a melodica). Jon will go down in history as one of the greatest musical geniuses of our time. He is an unparalleled talent.

  • Joyous

  • Truly a transformative experience.

by Heidi on 5/13/24Landmark Theatre - SyracuseRating: 5 out of 5

This was an amazing show that had and kept the audience inspired well beyond the very last of many encores. John Baptiste kills it. He brings music to another level altogether and you never know where his solo Journey will take you next. To watch John Baptiste is to watch true genius at work. He blew everyone away.

  • Transcendent performance

by Sr Morphine on 5/13/24Landmark Theatre - SyracuseRating: 5 out of 5

Jon Batiste is without question one of the most engaging and innovative musicians on the scene today. He charmed the audience by simply walking out on stage and acknowledging their applause. He charmed us further with his engaging and wide ranging piano playing. As he said after one of his “streamed” pieces, that was a journey!

  • The BEST Concert

by BG24 on 5/13/24UB Center for the Arts - Mainstage Theatre - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

Jon Batiste was AMAZING! It was one of the best concerts I'd ever been to. He's a genius in every way - composing, playing, singing and being an entertainer. So glad he came to Buffalo!

  • A Beautiful Experience

by Slydrummer student on 5/13/24UB Center for the Arts - Mainstage Theatre - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

John Baptiste brought everything and laid it all out on the floor in his understated way with his melodious voice. A master of many genres at the piano. His inner beauty showed through as he engaged the audience. A show for the memory book!

  • A spirited and spiritual experience

by Another Human Being on 5/13/24UB Center for the Arts - Mainstage Theatre - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

I wish everyone could have the opportunity to experience a Jon Baptiste concert. This remarkably talented musician manages to create an atmosphere that is so warm and relaxed that you feel you are in his living room being entertained by a long time friend. His love of music is surpassed only by his love of people. And the audience responds by sending all that love back to him. A spirited, spiritual experience!

  • Just Jon? Just Fine With Me!

by Frank S on 5/13/24UB Center for the Arts - Mainstage Theatre - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

Jon is out there with just a piano this tour. He plays original pieces, covers, and does some really well-executed medleys. It doesn't appear that even has a setlist for each show. Just kind of wings it and plays what comes to him. I believe that's the point of the "Streams"tour, in that it is just a stream of consciousness and he plays what feels right. It was was an amazing show from start to finish. He leaves your soul feeling recharged after only a couple hours of playing.

  • Jon Batiste

by Kaydeross on 5/13/24UB Center for the Arts - Mainstage Theatre - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

He was brilliant- savant on the piano, passionate, soulful, entertaining. I loved his commentary and his joy. I could only wish that I was sitting in his living room while he played.

  • Not to be missed!

by BetsyR on 5/13/24UB Center for the Arts - Mainstage Theatre - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

Jon's music is filled with love, joy, and healing! He ranks as one of the best pianists alive! Do not miss this show!
