  • Amazing!

by Mark on 5/15/24Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

The venue at Count Basie Theatre is such an amazing spot - big enough for a crowd-connection experience and quaint enough that you feel close to the artist. But the headline here is really Jon Batiste - there are no words to describe how amazing this guy is. A truly remarkable talent! Wow.

A wonderful experience with a talented musician and amazing human being. This is what art is. If you ever get a chance to see Jon Batiste, especially solo, go. You will be moved, uplifted, and blown away seeing his talent, artistry, and humanity.

  • Fabulously engaging show

by Lynne on 5/15/24Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

Jon Batiste show was great. No sheet music and he played as he said he would play in his own living room. He musically winded though a song by playing the known chorus than went to his compilation and eventually back to the chorus. Genius! His singing was remarkable also. Engaging the audience in songs we all know such as "when the saints go marching in", his version, was fun. Thanks, Mr. Baptiste, for a joyous night!

Experiencing his musical genius is something I will remember for the rest of my life. He is one of a kind! I am so happy and thankful I was able to attend his concert in Hershey, Pa.

  • Phenomenal Show

by Diane on 5/15/24Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

Jon was just spectacular. He touched on different genres of music which show cased his amazing talent. I am a great fan of Roy Hargrove and I know that Jon toured with him. The audience was so engaged in the show and Jon did not disappoint, he is truly a musical genius.

  • Phenomenal peformance!

by Ortley Guy on 5/15/24Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

Jon Batiste was amazing during this STREAMS performance. It was wonderful to hear him play ad lib for a good portion of the show. As he said at the beginning, "much of what you hear tonight has not been heard before, and will never be heard ever again. I will be creating music with you this evening". And, my goodness, did he. Jon had total control of the audience. There were times when his playing was so soft you could hear a pin drop, yet at other times the entire audience was singing or clapping. It was a terrific show made better by the great acoustics of the Count Basie theater..

  • The show Jon Batiste was great.

by SST on 5/14/24Hershey Theatre - HersheyRating: 5 out of 5

Jon Batiste was excellent. He worked the audience into the performance. His connection with the audience was like none I have seen before. Even when the show ended, he continued to perform, coming out into the audience and continuing to engage with them. I would definitely attend a future performance.

  • Jon Batiste is an extraordinary virtuoso.

Jon Batiste is a force! Blessed with talent and working hard at his craft, Jon radiates positivity. His musicality brings you along for the ride that he's on. And it's magical to watch. His positive affirmations and encouragement uplift me more than going to church. He is a true performer. Such a gift of a human! Thank you Jon!

  • Genius

by Pgriffindoor on 5/14/24UB Center for the Arts - Mainstage Theatre - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

Jon Batiste is one of the great musical talents and he proved it in concert. He was inspirational, passionate, innovative, and took the audience to church. I would highly recommend any of his concerts, but Streams was a unique format perfectly tailored to Jon’s talents.

  • Jon Batiste was amazing. Hershey Theater was not.

by Tami on 5/14/24Hershey Theatre - HersheyRating: 5 out of 5

We had to wait out in the rain at the back entrance for about 20 min. to get in at 7:50 for an 8pm concert. My mother is 91 and the standing wasn’t good. I was not impressed. Very poorly executed.

  • Uplifting and spirited

by Jake on 5/14/24Hershey Theatre - HersheyRating: 5 out of 5

Jon Batiste's performance was filled with smiles and beautiful music. His "Waves"of improvising were magical. The concert was short, one hour and twenty minutes, but he was exhausted from his energetic one man show. My only criticism was that the concert started twenty minutes after eight. A huge group of people walked in, (we were in the balcony), at eight fifteen and were seated and then went to the rest room and were seated again. I don't know what can be done about this, but it was upsetting as we got there at seven thirty because we were told to arrive early. BUT HE WAS AMAZING...A STELLAR PERFORMANCE AND SO GENUINE IN HIS JOY

  • Best show ever!
