About

American roots rock icon John Fogerty is as beloved for his solo work as he is for his time with legendary swamp rockers Creedence Clearwater Revival. Included by Rolling Stone on both their 100 Greatest Guitarist and 100 Greatest Singers lists, Fogerty continued to assert his role as an enduring figure in rock music with the 2013 release of Wrote a Song for Everyone, his ninth solo album. Featuring collaborative interpretations of his most beloved songs performed with acts like Foo Fighters, Miranda Lambert, and Jennifer Hudson, the album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and provided listeners a fresh new take on classics like “Bad Moon Rising” and “Born on the Bayou.” Fogerty rose to success with Creedence Clearwater Revival in the late ‘60s, achieving international fame in 1969 with hit single “Proud Mary” from Bayou Country. After the release of the band’s final album in 1972, Fogerty would release a series of critically-acclaimed solo albums, including 1997’s Blue Moon Swamp and 2008’s Revival, the former of which won a Grammy for Best Rock Album. On tour in 2013, Fogerty has been treating ticket buyers to extended renditions of his greatest hits, earning rave reviews for his infectious energy.

    Nostalgia

by Nani L on 11/22/23The Pool at Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

Fogerty was from our Era in high school. We have always loved his music. And to know his wife fought so long and hard to get the rights to his music back, is a wonderful thing. They both are amazing people. We enjoy his concerts by the pool, but the chairs are horrible. Very, very uncomfortable. You are too close to the person next to you.

    Fabulous show, a giant sing-a-long

by hbssports1 on 11/22/23The Pool at Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

Fogerty brought back AM radio memories. Still hits all the notes, did all the familiar Creedence tunes and fabulous band, featuring his two sons. Could not have been a better performance. Only thing was the venue didn't have graduated seating, otherwise, a perfect evening.

I Used To Highly Esteem John Fogerty

by Goose55 on 11/22/23The Pool at Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

It turned out best that I was not able to go to the concert, due to having been called to Jury selection early the next day. I used to very highly esteem John Fogerty's music but since learning of his wayward political and ideological leanings, my opinion of him has plummeted.

    Great concert, but…

by Dave F on 11/22/23The Pool at Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

Great concert, everything we expected and more. However, the venue left much to be desired. Chairs so close together they were worse than airline seats. No food available except inside the casino. Weather was cool, but who schedules an outdoor concert in November even in Arizona?

    Timeless Performance

by Jeff S on 11/22/23The Pool at Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

Second time seeing John and his performances are timeless. His skills are great, his band is terrific and his voice is young. It’s amazing that the audience knows virtually every Creedence song. Only issue is that the sound went out in the middle of a song at Talking Stick resort. Tech issues are virtually unheard of these days, and it was disappointing. Fortunately, it was fixed after one song.

    Classic Rocker

by Jim on 11/22/23The Pool at Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

Venue not the best! Loss of sound system! Short concert! 3rd time I have seen him and though he can still jam, it could have been better, especially when he stated he was going to sing “ALL “ his songs! He did not. He mentioned Susie Q but didn’t play it. All in all was not completely pleased!

    Great Music. Terrible Venue

by Cos on 11/22/23The Pool at Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

The music was fantastic and John was very engaging. I definitely would see him again, but not at this venue. Poorly run and poorly planned. getting into the show was lengthy and frustrating. The seats were cheap plastic folding chairs. the space between isles was very tight. the sound system went out at one point but John and the band (due to their professionalism), finished the song and then we waited until the system was fixed.

Fantastic night with John Fogerty Family

by CCR fan on 11/22/23The Pool at Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

What a wonderful experience to see John and his family enjoying themselves entertaining his fans of over fifty years. Weather perfect, John did not miss a beat and loved sharing his history and family stories with the audience. Just an incredible evening!

    Great Concert, Venue needs work

by GYP on 11/22/23The Pool at Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

There should have been signs, info, etc re: available concert parking. Getting into the concert area was difficult because there were too few people checking tickets. John Fogerty rocked!

SO good. We see John Fogerty any chance we get.

by Hanna on 11/22/23The Pool at Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

John Fogerty just foes not dissapoint. His voice is solid, he still loves performing. This time he begins his show with a short video telling his story. It was simply fabulous.

    Terrible venue

by Jesshey on 11/22/23The Pool at Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

There was a pool smack dab in the middle of the standing area and the speakers went out 15 seconds into a song and was not dealt with until the next song so missed basically the entire song. Singer came on over 20 minutes late. I drove over an hour for the most disappointing concert I’ve been to this year and I’ve been to 11 so far.

    Unreal!

by Jeff on 11/22/23The Pool at Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

Was very familiar with John’s extensive songbook, but was amazed how, at 77, strong his voice was. I, and my guests, all raved as we were heading home.

    Fogerty was great but…

by Julie on 11/21/23Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

John Fogerty put on a great concert playing many of his beloved CCR songs and 2 of his sons are in his band. My only problem was with the venue, Harrah’s Casino, in Funner, CA. The sound was terrible. Either the acoustics were bad or the sound mixer was inept or it was my location (far right of stage 6th row), or a combination of those, but the sound was really off and unclear. That was disappointing.

by Paul K on 11/21/23Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

This is probably my 4th or 5th JF concert in the last 20 years and he never disappoints. He seems to get better with age if that’s possible!

    Great concert, bad venue

by DMP on 11/21/23Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

I loved John Fogerty. He was great and so was his band including his two sons. I hated the venue, Events Center at Harrah’s So Cal. It was very disorganized. No signage to help you find the center. Late starting because they did not know how to move people along. Random line that you were suppposed to find which was ridiculous. It is just a big ballroom with chairs lined up and movie screens on walls. Could not see the stage very well and the screens did not show all the stage. People were lighting up joints while the concert was going on despite the no smoking signs. No one enforcing any rules. The casino reeks of smoke and you have to walk through it to get to venue. I will never go there again.
