About

American roots rock icon John Fogerty is as beloved for his solo work as he is for his time with legendary swamp rockers Creedence Clearwater Revival. Included by Rolling Stone on both their 100 Greatest Guitarist and 100 Greatest Singers lists, Fogerty continued to assert his role as an enduring figure in rock music with the 2013 release of Wrote a Song for Everyone, his ninth solo album. Featuring collaborative interpretations of his most beloved songs performed with acts like Foo Fighters, Miranda Lambert, and Jennifer Hudson, the album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and provided listeners a fresh new take on classics like “Bad Moon Rising” and “Born on the Bayou.” Fogerty rose to success with Creedence Clearwater Revival in the late ‘60s, achieving international fame in 1969 with hit single “Proud Mary” from Bayou Country. After the release of the band’s final album in 1972, Fogerty would release a series of critically-acclaimed solo albums, including 1997’s Blue Moon Swamp and 2008’s Revival, the former of which won a Grammy for Best Rock Album. On tour in 2013, Fogerty has been treating ticket buyers to extended renditions of his greatest hits, earning rave reviews for his infectious energy.

    John Fogarty was fabulous!

by Spencertk on 7/13/09Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

John's voice was still great and he is such a fabulous guitarist. Seeing him at Meadowbrook was the best as it is such a wonderful venue. He played over 20 of his hits and his band was excellent also. He still has it and everyone there enjoyed listening to songs from so long ago that still sound great today.

    Still Rockin'

by windfall on 7/13/09Copps Coliseum - Hamilton

Third time I've seen him in the last 3 years and still consistently performs old CCR favourites. Doesn't miss a note or any power in his vocal performance. Hat's off to the oldster.

John Fogerty delivered one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Great singing, great guitar playing, great showmanship, great room sound.

    John Fogerty

by ThomasG on 7/13/09Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

The John Fogerty show at Meadow Brook Music Festival in Rochester Hills, MI was a great Friday night out. It is a smaller outdoor venue which gives shows a little more of a personal touch. Aside from the show starting late because of audio difficulties, the show which was mostly older Creedence Clearwater Revival songs ended up being a good one.

    John Fogerty - Timeless

by slvmart on 7/13/09The Venue - Hammond

Fogerty certainly gives you your money's worth playing three hours without a break. The voice was still there and the band just rocked never missing a beat. The Venue in Hammond was a nice experience...great acoustics and not a bad seat in the house. This event was a night of pure entertainment in the good old rock-n-roll fashion.

Fogerty Was Not At His Best

by Sutherland on 7/13/09Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

I am a life-long Forgerty fan and try to catch him whenever possible. His last show lacked the energy and flow of his previous concerts. There were feedback/sound problems to start and a lot of dead time between songs. He is typically an electrifying performer, but the Meadowbrook performance was dull and tedious. I couldn't believe it was the same band that had folks on their feet the whole night at DTE the year before. I will still go and see him again, and assume this was just an off-night.

    Fogerty is the man

by TP56 on 7/13/09Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

Before going to the concert I thought this would be a fun night out hearing some old tunes. Fogerty's library is immense. His songs have been recorded by so many artists you forget how many songs he actually authored. To hear him play his own songs live is fantastic. He did not try to offer just a teaser. He kicked out 1 great hit after another. As soon as you thought he palyed them all he would sing another one. This man is a perfectionist. He gave this concert his all. The distinctive sound of CCR is John Fogerty. His voice has held up after all these years. While many other singers voices are a shadow of what they once were, Fogerty sounds as good or better than the original recordings. This is a guitar lovers paradise. Fogerty changes guitars on almost every song. In one song I counted 6 guitar players on stage and a 1 bass.

    Still Hot!!

by bestoftmz on 7/13/09The Venue - Hammond

Age is meaningless when you are a true talent and John is in that category. The concert was great from start to finish. He is great as is his band. A very nice touch: he had signs posted on the front of the stage not just allowing, but INVITING people to come up and stand at the stage and dance or just gawk! Now that's a man who understands he is playing to please an audience and not to stroke his ego.

    Meadow Brook was perfect!

by jmo1978 on 7/13/09Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

John's show started a little late due to electrical problems, but once he got started he never stopped or took a break. His performance was awesome and the atmosphere at Meadow Brook was perfect.
