Thank You Jason
by BDLC on 11/7/10Bergen Performing Arts Center (Bergen PAC) - EnglewoodRating: 5 out of 5This is by far, the best event I have ever seen regarding the best rock & roll band ever, Led Zeppelin. Jason Bonham created a truly unique show by coming up front and center stage to talk to the audience about his dad, his family, and even his 89 year old grandmother who is still rockin' to music!
The video screen behind the band had several photo's and video's of John Bonham being the father of Jason, at home. There were many family events on the video. Some of the video was of Jason as a young child playing the drums with his father. It was very emotional for Jason, and he was man enough to get choked up on stage! Brought a tear to my eyes as well!
The group of musicians were fantastic and accurately reproduced the real Led Zeppelin sound. If you close your eyes and just listened, it sounded just about as good as the real thing. I was not disappointed at all, the sound was the best, I didn't use ear plugs that were being sold at the venue, and I was in row six, about twenty feet from the stage. Yes, my ears were ringing a bit for a couple of hours, but I didn't go deaf. The band was loud, but in a great way and not over done. I paid for great seats and received great seating, well worth the price for my lady & I.
Jason frequently stopped to speak to us, he told some funny stories as well as sad one's too. I can't thank him enough for opening up to his audience, after all, it's called his Led Zeppelin Experience, what he lived through and how he feels. I'm glad I attended and I will never forget this performance. I'm 55 and have been a LedZep fan since they began in 1968, I still play their music very often and still love it as much as I have since the first time I heard them!
THANK YOU JASON!
