  • Imelda May is amazing

by ElJefenyc on 8/1/14Bowery Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I was already a big Imelda May fan before but I'm an even bigger fan now. One of the few artists that actually sound better live than on the album, she proves herself to be one of the best singers around in the world. Her friendly manner and banter with the audience makes you love her even more. Amazing show and energy and her band is top notch and play with a tightness not seen as much. Can't wait to see her in September at Irving Plaza, got my ticket already.

  • Imelda May so cool

    by DCamp83 on 10/9/11Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Saw her at the paradise club in Boston on sept.29. What a great show by a wonderful and talented lady with an equally talented band. I can't wait to see her again, hope she comes back this way soon.So nice that she added a personal touch by singing 'Old Cape Cod' , it went over big with the audience.

  • Imelda May live is amazing.

by Barquirt on 10/8/11Fine Line Music Cafe - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Her voice live is even more powerful and rich. She has an amazing vocal range and her band was terrific. Really an artist who defies being labeled as a "retro act" as her songs pay tribute to classic rockabilly/blues but bring something really new to that sound that is very, very good.

  • Imelda May was sexy in her Batman dress!!

by Devilboy1965 on 10/7/11Fine Line Music Cafe - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

This sultry woman has an incredible voice and a great stage presence. She owned the room and had the Fine Line Music Cafe crowd watching her every move. Every song was sung with passion, and it also helped that this woman looked gorgeous in her tight Batman dress. If you're thinking of seeing her perform in person, do it. You will not regret it. I hope she's coming back to the Twin Cities soon, I'll definitely be attending. Excellent show.

  • The BEST!!

Imelda is fantastic LIVE! I've been lucky to see her in Chicago and the other night at the Fine Line (Mpls)...both shows were fabulous!! Don't miss her next time....the crowd roared ALL night!

  • Class Act Imelda May

by Noiseworks on 10/7/11Fine Line Music Cafe - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

What you hear on the record does not do justice, to just how good Imelda and her band sound on stage. The Band was tight and Imelda's vocals where spot on. I first heard Imelda singing while I was watching the movie "Wild Target" (she has 3 songs on the sound track) and I had to know who this singer was. My favorite song of Imelda's now is "Eternity" And I wasn't disappointed at the live version. We ran into the band after the concert and what an elegant and classy woman Imelda was and how genuinely nice the band was. They where all happy to chat and they where more interested in hearing our stories then talking about themselves, Al Gare has some great stories your face will hurt from smiling and laughing so much. I highly recommend Imelda May and the band for a great night out, just remember it just might take a couple days to get her songs out of your head.

  • Imelda May was a rock Goddess

  • Imelda May turns you Inside out

by Mayhem63 on 10/7/11Fine Line Music Cafe - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Loved the Band , the quality of sound and the warm up boys were clearly stray cat punk throwbacks. Imelda is a total package star. Looks, voice that has range and subtle qualities for interpreting song lyrics. She is an entertainer and her persona commands the stage like a consummate pro. She is makes me want to sing her praises. I hope she comes back to a venue like the state or orpheum theater.

  • Imelda May - stadium performance in club setting

by AnnTStP on 10/7/11Fine Line Music Cafe - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

We loved the show! Imelda May was great as always and she brought the audience with her every step of the way. A nice nod of recognition to Minnesota’s musical history (Eddie Cochran & Brian Setzer). The songs were terrific from rocking out with Mayhem to the quieter Humble and Proud.

I purchased tickets to see the opening act (the Ettes) and then 2 days before the Fine Line changed the opening to another band. Complained to Fine Line and Ticket MAster and all I got was "too bad so sad, we got your $$$ and your not getting it back"

  • Imelda May was AWESOME!!!!!!!

  • Imelda May was as amazing as expected!!!!

by musicchasergerri on 10/5/11Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Great show at the Paradise. Saw a video of Imelda May on You Tube and checked out where she would be playing in the states. Turns out the first two opportunities I had to see her were in NYC and Boston only both ended up selling out. Made a point of getting my ticket early for this second round in Boston and was not disappointed!!! Cannot wait to get a chance to see her again soon I hope!!!!!

  • Imelda May rocked the house

by JPLovesImelda on 10/4/11Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORKRating: 5 out of 5

She is amazing - just a great performer, sexy, charismatic, bluesy and she can rock out. The whole band is electric. Do yourself a favor and get your rock-a-billy on and see her in a small venue before you can't any longer.

  • Imelda May - Top Shelf Show

Top notch performance : A Flawless evening of entertainment opened up by the band "Rythym Bound" and closed with a totally sated crowd after listening to the fulfilling musical experience of Imelda and her band.

I'd heard their recordings and seen them on YouTube, but nothing compares to the real thing. Imelda May is AMAZING in concert - she and the band have so much energy and joy on stage. All are gifted and inspiring performers. This was a great concert and I'm so glad I went!
